They take such personal interest in our pets that they've become part of our extended family. They get excited when we put them in their carriers because they know they are going to Tannenberg. I also want to give you an example of the staff's knowledge and care. Our cat, Ani, had been drinking a lot of water and losing weight. Our Tannenberg carer noticed this and asked us if we had ever had him tested for diabetes. We took him to Bigger Road Veterinarian, and sure enough, he had diabetes. He is now on insulin, and he is as healthy as he was as a rescue kitten! That kind of care for our cat and dog is priceless.

I scheduled my two dogs for an evaluation last Friday. I was told to have them there by 9:30am, evaluation at noon, and then pick any time after 3pm. It was around 2:45pm and I hadn't heard anything all day, so I called and was told that my dogs had not been evaluated yet but they were about to within the next 15 minutes, it would take 15-20 minutes to complete, and they would call me when they were done so I could come get them. 4pm came around and I hadn't heard anything, so I just went to get them anyways. When I got there, I immediately could tell something was off. The employee at the counter just stared at the computer for minutes, not saying a word. She then went to the back office for a few minutes, returned to the desk and continued to just be on the computer. I could tell by her body language that something was wrong. She finally walked off to get my dogs, but I heard her call on the radio asking where they even were. When she brought them out, she just handed them to me and didn't say anything. I had to ask if they passed, in which she replied, "no, they were too nervous and you'll have to come back and do it again." She could not give me any details about how they acted or what the evaluation had consisted of. Something didn't feel right about this entire interaction, so I called to speak with a manager. There were no notes on their account, so the manager went to talk to other employees to find out what happened. Turns out they were incorrectly booked and did not receive an evaluation at all, and instead were "day-boarded". I understand that miscommunications happen, but explicitly lying is unacceptable. When I call to check on their evaluation and am told that they are about to do it but then never follow up, and then I pick them up and am lied to again about how their evaluation went. Just tell me they got booked wrong. Or when I called to check on their evaluation, do it then since that should have alerted you that there had been a miscommunication. That's all you had to do. Instead, the employees felt the need to fabricate a story and place the blame on my dogs' behavior instead of their mistake. PetSuites has completely lost my trust in their ability to care for my dogs and I will not be returning.

It said they were offering 50% off for new customers, but it also said I had to contact someone in particular using an email that wasn't from this business. I found that a bit suspicious and just called them directly. The owner did not know about that special, but she did honor the first time customer discount. Kudos! I expressed to her that I am very picky about my dog's grooming. She seemed understanding and told me they groom a lot of poodles. Good! When I got there, I was almost immediately greeted by someone who had paperwork for me and held my dog while I competed it. The groomer was across the room grooming another dog and was also asking me how I wanted my poodle groomed. What happened?! I think I was transported into poodle grooming heaven. What?! A place that seems to care and is running efficiently and is willing to honor a discount! OMG! Okay...when is the shoe going to drop? I left my poodle in their care. I came back approximately 2.5 hours later. My poodle was completed and the cut was done well. Thank you so much! I appreciate a business that actually follows thru, especially with a family member. I also like the location because the Dorothy Lane Kroger's is across the street. So, I can do my grocery shopping & get gas...all while the dog is getting groomed! Love it! BTW, they have do it yourself dog bathing or you can have them do it. The only criticism I have is that I had asked for no perfumes/colognes of any kind; I stated that and wrote it down on the form. My poodle had some kind of powder (?) that had a smell I didn't care for. It was the usual stuff that a lot of groomers use. I will be sure to stress that preference next time. Overall, my first experience there was very good. I gave the groomer a nice tip and was on my way. I recommend them! :)

I said the prior owner never charged extra, was was informed that she is no longer the owner and, their words, the TORCHURE they would put my pups through costs extra. WHAT? I suggested they cut the mats close and a few weeks later we could groom them as normal. They refused and told me to pay the extra amount or come pick them up. Well, I don't pay the normal amount and expect them to be TORCHURED much less pay more for that. I picked them up. . Please, if your dogs are anxious about going there, maybe they aren't being taken care of the way they should. If I could rate less than a 1 I would.
