Do my dogs look like they are ready for Westminster when they are finished, NO, but they are bathed, nails cut, faces trimmed and look great enough for me to be satisfied with the cost and the cut. You can go someplace else and pay $100+ a cut and prob get a little better haircut, your choice. We are very happy with how they treat out dogs and with the finished product.

She could tell my brother's dog Jaz was a bit antsy about getting a bath (her arch nemesis) and offered some treats to help relax her. Clare showed us to our wash station, explained what we needed to know, and gladly gave Jaz some scritches; Jaz was so happy!! She does hate baths, but adored the blow dryer. Overall, it seems like all the staff here do a wonderful job taking care of customers, keeping the store clean and organized, and providing a friendly and low-pressure environment-- an absolute MUST in this ruined economy. Jaz also got a new tug-of-war toy and is in love with it. We will definitely be bringing her back here for future bathing and product needs!

Eek Since I got home late I ran elsewhere to get basic supplies but I wanted to get a few quality items as well so I came to Pet People. The first thing I noticed was the a young man was happily carrying a large bag of foot food out for an elderly woman and still managed to stop and acknowledge us while on his way. Everyone we met inside, from employees to customers, were all the nicest people ever and take the time to love on your fur baby. The employees knew all of the dogs that came in by name. They showed us around and made recommendations for food etc. I also learned that they have a dog washing station in the back that is very handy. There is a frequent buyer dog food program that we signed up for. We will definitely be back even if it is a bit pricier than I'm used to.

Dr Hiegel didn't offer any real knowledge, for even the most basic questions. I asked her about dog food and she said she doesn't know what kinds are out there. She barely touched my dog and didn't seem to want to spend the time on the exam. I saw what seemed to be a daycare dog standing out in the rain the whole time I was there (it didn't look like it was enjoying it). The entryway is crowded and the front area staff never seem very interested in helping anyone. Everyone is nice, I just think this vet is very overpriced for mediocre care and lack of true engagement from the staff.

For example when my one dog couldn't walk instead of trying to do xrays, etc they put her on a steroid and pain pill to see if that helped first. It did! A very similar situation happened with my French Bulldog recently. They are very good about trying to see if other options work first before doing things that will cost an arm and a leg. I recently changed from Bigger Road to visit a closer Veterinary Clinic, and while everyone has been wonderful, there is just not the same level of care as Bigger Road Vet Center. I especially appreciate and place my trust with Dr. Alison Crocker and Dr. Elizabeth Blakelock -- two extraordinary veterinarians within this group of top-notch professionals. By time I got home from work to call back they were closed. We had to take my dog to the care center in Kettering and she ended up dying. I wonder if she could have been saved or in less pain had they followed up. During Covid , 3 years ago, when my other dog was hit by a car we went there because they were close and our Vet. We thought they could stabilize her. They refused to unlock doors talked to us thru glass said they can't help, no appointment. We made a long trip to Kettering Care Center and my dog ended up dying. This place doesn't seem to care about customers. I will not use them again and would not recommend them to anyone. Go to Dr Beall at Springboro Vet instead.
