TAKE CAUTION IF YOUR PET IS ON MEDICATION!!! I boarded my dog here from 8-9 June 2025. I gave them…read moreher medication with instructions to give it to her the morning of the 9th, as she had already been given her dose for the 8th. When I went to pick her up at or about 1539 (charged for another day since it was after 1200), I was told by the staff I talked to (there were 3) that my dog had not been given her meds at all, with no answer as to why. I asked if someone could call me with an answer. I gave her the dose as soon as I got her in my truck. Mike called and left a VM saying she did in fact get her dose that morning. When I called back to inform him that I just double dosed my dog with Prozac based on their misinformation, all he basically had to say was "sorry " and "better call your vet." If you are considering patronizing this business, please take this incident into consideration. For all they know a double dose could have killed her, and with certain other medications, it could in fact have. It's a shame because I was a regular customer and this location is very convenient for me. However, I think this was a pretty close call. Add the apparent lack of concern by the management, and I can no longer, with any good conscience, trust this facility with my dog.

I was impressed with the clean facility, nice helpful, efficient staff when I dropped off the pets. My wife picked one of the standard plans that provided walks and play time sessions for the beagle. The facility has spacious outdoor areas for walking and play. I did not see kennel area, but was assured that dog had his own cage. The cats were housed in spacious individual cages that have several compartments - one for water, one for food, a sleeping compartment and nice lounging area each. Before dropping off the pets, we had to present pet's current vaccinations records. Also, provide pet food (bagged for each meal).

I started going to North Main Animal Clinic after I was unhappy at my last vet experience at a…read moredifferent facility looking for treatment and checkups for my pet rabbit, Onyx. This vet has a very nice waiting room that's clean with plenty of seating area, and the ladies at the front desk have always been professional and kind. Sometimes it can get a little crowded if you have a noon/afternoon appointment and other patients are waiting as well. My experience bringing in an exotic animal has been phenomenal at this clinic. I always booked appointments with Dr. Crotty, who was always very attentive and focused on what I was saying and describing in order to understand what was wrong and what I needed for my pet. Onyx came in for a variety of treatments like, an ear infection, digestion issues, and UTI treatment during an emergency visit. In every instance, she would listen carefully and check him out, never pressing Onyx too far if he expressed discomfort, and always did the exam in front of me. Compared to previous experiences where my animal was removed from the room every. Visit. It was so comforting to see how he was handled while I was present, only taking him back if they needed equipment that was only available in their back work-space. My rabbit was 6+ years old, and I've been uncertain of his exact age since he was dropped off at the front door of shelter without any information provided. He had a disease called "bunny sniffles" that wasn't treatable, and I couldn't afford more extensive treatment or to put him through the same unsuccessful injections. So, when I came to North Main, I was always looking to keep him comfortable until he was ready to pass away. When it was his time, I scheduled an appointment for a quality of life assessment. When I came in for the appointment, the front desk was so understanding and made sure I was in a comfortable and quiet room towards the back. Dr. Crotty understood my situation, she made the accommodations so he would be put to sleep first, and I could come into the back room to say goodbye one more time before he would be put down with an injection while I waited in the front room. They would normally do an IV drip, but since he's a rabbit and such a small animal they weren't able to do so with him. In order to be understanding of this, they gave me as much time as I needed to tell him goodbye while he was asleep, where I talked to such a kind vet tech that held the mask to his face to keep him asleep. When a pet passes, they do offer cremation services in clinic, but I had already set up to have him cremated somewhere else in order to have more urn options and to get a small piece of jewelry. They have limited options, but if it's an unexpected passing than it's very helpful in such a sudden situation. After all of this, soon after I received the loveliest letter from their clinic. It was signed by the vet clinic team, each person leaving a small message of empathy and condolences. This letter was out of their way to send, but it made such a difference in comforting me that I made the right choice for my sweet boy. I'm a college student that won't be able to maintain another pet like him for a long time, but I know when I get another pet in the future, they will be my first choice of clinic.

The Dr and the vet tech were both physically sad when the came in to check on Ernie and made sure that I understood everything that would happen.
