Packed up and ready to go for the weekend, we get there and she tells us that our reservation was declined, and we were notified. We did not receive an email or call. Lady was rude and did not seem sympathetic at all or offer any kind of help. Will not recommend this place to any friends, or return. Big Time Kennel is just down the road, and were so understanding of our situation. They got us in with no notice and were very friendly. The pets have more outdoor access, the grounds are nice, only 21 a day for our dog. Go there instead.

Our crazy black lab has been coming to Wags since she was 6…read moremos. old. While she's energetic now, she was like a cyclone back then! She needed (and still needs) an outlet for her energy. Wags is a great outlet for all dogs, because there's a big playroom where the dogs can mingle, play, run, nap along the walls . They are not confined to crates all day with just potty breaks and short play times. If a dog gets a bit over the top with playing, there's a time out. Our dog used to run with the other crazy puppies; and the older dogs taught her how to be a dog! After two years, she 's still happy at Wags and comes home tired when she's spent her afternoon there. The staff treats her well and is pleasant to me. I like that they keep records and notify us when our dog is due for a shot. Charlie has also spent time at Wags' kennel when we're out of town. She seems to do well at Wags n Wiggles, and for that, I am grateful to everyone!

He…read morewas/is solid muscle (he put on a lil weight from all the love lol) Anyway, I did not realize walking him was going to be as difficult as it had become and I am not a small person. His pulling was getting out of control and I was afraid I was going to end up hurting myself trying to control him. Not to mention he has some reactiveness in him when it came to other dogs outside a fence. I came across Rick with Champion K9 thru someone who knew him and his services. I messaged him that night. I set up the FREE evaluation. Blue was put in a room prior to his arrival and we had a good 30 minute talk about what I needed and wanted out of Blue. Blue then met Rick. I did not see his normal reaction when meeting new people of jumping and pacing from sheer excitement. He took one walk around Rick (who was not paying him any attention) Blue just laid down. I knew right then and there he was the trainer for us. He worked with my schedule and got us right in starting the following Sunday. We have had 7 of the 8 private classes and our whole lives have changed for the better. The first few visits were basic commands and getting familiar with each other and what we expect. The next few visits were training on walking on a new leash, social interaction with other humans and walking around other dogs at a dog park. The confidence he gave me and Blue has made a huge difference in our walks. I can control him with little to no anxiety or fear of me being hurt, him possibly being hurt or him hurting anyone else. He also has built Blue's confidence with walking and being 95% less reactive. Don't get me wrong, he still has some but now it is out of protecting me and his surroundings and I am ok with that (I mean, all dogs bark). He has opened up the world to us for new experiences and adventures together and living the best life TOGETHER we both deserve. Trust me, it is not easy, but like he says, "YOU GET OUT WHAT YOU PUT IN" and I can truly see that. We train and practice daily and it does not stop. If you are not willing to put forth the effort than maybe it is not for you. Rick's knowledge is outstanding. He let me asked all the questions, weither good, bad or just plain stupid to make me more comfortable. He is also a straight shooter and tells it like it is. He does not sugar coat things and I can appreciate that 100% because I am the same way. No need to pussyfoot around anything or waste anyone's time. If I had to do it all over again. We chose a Shiba-Inu, which is not a simple breed to train and working with Rick he has become a beloved puppy by all of our friends,neighbors,and vet. If you communicate honestly and openly about your needs, Rick will work with them. His mantra of "train as you live" works well as long as you stick to it. He was happy to work in group classes for our puppy and if you follow his advice to graduate he even offers free advice for the lifetime of your puppy. Most important is Rick's understanding of your dog, which in my opinion is unmatched. He knows the ins and outs of breeds, and has a great sense of personality for the dog and how to work with that. He then works with you about understanding how you and the dog communicate and live together. He trains you as much as the dog, which was invaluable in my opinion.

When we arrived home I quickly remembered puppies are like toddlers and almost had a panic attack. I quickly signed up for the 7-week puppy course at Homeland K9 based on the recommendations of friends. This business is locally and veteran owned. Both Mike and his wife Kim are well known in the community and would do anything for you. The class size is limited and there are 4 dogs in our current class which is necessary due to trying to teach h new puppies (really it's about teaching the puppy owners but we won't tell them that). In our last class we were all amazing at the differences we have seen in our dogs already. We've received a collar, leash, and a "place" cot. By week 5 our dogs are all able to heel, sit, down, and place. Even when Mike tries to distract them. Do go into this thinking it's magic. You do have to put the work in to make it work, but if you do you will prevent a lot of problems in the future. He does have other classes for older dogs but this is the only class I've had first hand knowledge in. Very glad we are doing this!

The gen seem to be nice and said that if…read moreanything would happen he would call us and I told him to contact me at anytime. we brought there own food and a brand New bed that we purchased the night before big enough for both of them instead of taking the two smaller beds from home. when we went to pick Chico and Pepe up it was terrible. the minute we walked in you could smell the place. he opened the door to the kennel where he had big fans blowing the smell back away from the door. our dogs were in the Second kennel and whe he opened the door they were huddled in a Conner shaking and withdrawn. they wouldn't even come to me. the floor had a towel on it and the whole floor was wet from urine. he said he threw the new bed away because of the smell! he should have called me before doing so . it was a new bed that I just spent $30 on. he said he threw it away from the smell of urine. if the doges were let out more than once a day they would not urinate in the pen. I pick them up and they smelled horrible!!!!! he never over to pay for the bed nor did he call to ask to what he should do with it. he had no right to do that without paying for it. I had to give bother dogs a bath as soon as we got home. they were timid for a day because of the lack of care for them. be careful of who you trust with your little loved ones. if there not let out properly they have to do there business somewhere. and from my understanding with the rain that week, he only let them out at his convenience. So said they our little boys had to go through this and he threw away a brand new bed because he didn't let them out. Not Happy With His Kennel at all. Mr Daniels
