I had heard really good things about this place so I took my dog there to get groomed and they…read morecharged about $78 to groom my doodle, which is a good price. The 2nd time I take my dog there they call about 30 mins after they start grooming him and say he is bleeding from his genitals and they cannot finish the cut or bath him. Which was understandable. I then go to pick up my dog to take him to the vet and they only accepted cash or check so I told them I would bring the money to them after his vet appointment. They told me that the I owed $80 and to bring him back at a later date so they can finish the cut and bath him and I would just pay them for the bath and rest of the cut. I went to the bank and withdrew the $80 even though I thought that was a crazy amount for half a cut and proceeded to go to the vet. My vet then tells me that my dog has trauma to his penis area. They were unable to say exactly what happened but said it was fresh blood and it recently happened. So my mother in law tried to call them twice and explain what the vet said and state that we feel we should not have to pay due to the circumstances and that they should pay for the vet bill as well. The place did not answer the phone. I then get a call from a police officer asking why I did not pay for the service and I explained to them what had happened and the police officer said to handle it basically how I already am and tell her that I am now stuck with a $113 vet bill due to my dog having to get antibiotics and a shot for the swelling. The owner proceeds to tell me that they vet couldn't say exactly what happened so she is not paying the vet bill. My dog was not injured when we dropped him off. He was not bleeding. He didn't not hit his genitals on our car (like the owner gave as an example for the reason behind his trauma) there is a video of him before the cut not bleeding and then pictures of him bleeding after he was on their table and the cut has started. I do not believe they purposely harmed my dog but they also did not handle the situation professionally and own up to my dog somehow getting injured while on their table. The owner would not even call me to speak about it she would only message me on Facebook. Very unprofessional. They are also the ones who took these videos and pictures. Which they did not have my consent to take. The picture shows lucky not bleeding (before the cut) The picture shows lucky bleeding during the cut I would post the video but Yelp doesn't allow videos

This vet has a very nice waiting room that's clean with plenty of seating area, and the ladies at the front desk have always been professional and kind. Sometimes it can get a little crowded if you have a noon/afternoon appointment and other patients are waiting as well. My experience bringing in an exotic animal has been phenomenal at this clinic. I always booked appointments with Dr. Crotty, who was always very attentive and focused on what I was saying and describing in order to understand what was wrong and what I needed for my pet. Onyx came in for a variety of treatments like, an ear infection, digestion issues, and UTI treatment during an emergency visit. In every instance, she would listen carefully and check him out, never pressing Onyx too far if he expressed discomfort, and always did the exam in front of me. Compared to previous experiences where my animal was removed from the room every. Visit. It was so comforting to see how he was handled while I was present, only taking him back if they needed equipment that was only available in their back work-space. My rabbit was 6+ years old, and I've been uncertain of his exact age since he was dropped off at the front door of shelter without any information provided. He had a disease called "bunny sniffles" that wasn't treatable, and I couldn't afford more extensive treatment or to put him through the same unsuccessful injections. So, when I came to North Main, I was always looking to keep him comfortable until he was ready to pass away. When it was his time, I scheduled an appointment for a quality of life assessment. When I came in for the appointment, the front desk was so understanding and made sure I was in a comfortable and quiet room towards the back. Dr. Crotty understood my situation, she made the accommodations so he would be put to sleep first, and I could come into the back room to say goodbye one more time before he would be put down with an injection while I waited in the front room. They would normally do an IV drip, but since he's a rabbit and such a small animal they weren't able to do so with him. In order to be understanding of this, they gave me as much time as I needed to tell him goodbye while he was asleep, where I talked to such a kind vet tech that held the mask to his face to keep him asleep. When a pet passes, they do offer cremation services in clinic, but I had already set up to have him cremated somewhere else in order to have more urn options and to get a small piece of jewelry. They have limited options, but if it's an unexpected passing than it's very helpful in such a sudden situation. After all of this, soon after I received the loveliest letter from their clinic. It was signed by the vet clinic team, each person leaving a small message of empathy and condolences. This letter was out of their way to send, but it made such a difference in comforting me that I made the right choice for my sweet boy. I'm a college student that won't be able to maintain another pet like him for a long time, but I know when I get another pet in the future, they will be my first choice of clinic.

The Dr and the vet tech were both physically sad when the came in to check on Ernie and made sure that I understood everything that would happen. They treated her with such respect, and gave me time to grieve when it was over. I cannot recommend North Main Animal Clinic enough.
