She could tell my brother's dog Jaz was a bit antsy about getting a bath (her arch nemesis) and offered some treats to help relax her. Clare showed us to our wash station, explained what we needed to know, and gladly gave Jaz some scritches; Jaz was so happy!! She does hate baths, but adored the blow dryer. Overall, it seems like all the staff here do a wonderful job taking care of customers, keeping the store clean and organized, and providing a friendly and low-pressure environment-- an absolute MUST in this ruined economy. Jaz also got a new tug-of-war toy and is in love with it. We will definitely be bringing her back here for future bathing and product needs!

Eek Since I got home late I ran elsewhere to get basic supplies but I wanted to get a few quality items as well so I came to Pet People. The first thing I noticed was the a young man was happily carrying a large bag of foot food out for an elderly woman and still managed to stop and acknowledge us while on his way. Everyone we met inside, from employees to customers, were all the nicest people ever and take the time to love on your fur baby. The employees knew all of the dogs that came in by name. They showed us around and made recommendations for food etc. I also learned that they have a dog washing station in the back that is very handy. There is a frequent buyer dog food program that we signed up for. We will definitely be back even if it is a bit pricier than I'm used to.

She is always tested well by the staff as they dote on her when she arrives. She is a bit skittish so this is especially important for both of us since I fret it will become worse if she doesn't feel safe and secure. She enjoys getting her special treats and the doctors and staff have a way of keeping her calm for exams. They welcome discussions and spend time to review any concerns. I was hesitant to give her a yearly shot for heart-worm since I have a supply at home so the doctor said gave me three choices, prices, and the pros and cons of all. First time visits, they provide a discount and you can check in via Facebook for a free T-shirt. Sometimes there can be a slight wait but it's worth it! Just know they give everyone their complete attention and assurance that they care about your precious pet. Also don't be scared to ask about groomer, behavioral training, etc they love to give these resources and I have used them with great resources. When you make your appointment, they will send email reminders. Their pharmacy is online to make ordering super easy at your convenience. What's not to love about them?

They tell me what I already know, pugs are notorious for being difficult with their nails. Yes, I know, hence why I'm here looking for a professional service to help me do it. However they are incompetent here. Most recently I brought her here this past Saturday. I booked an appointment days ahead of time. The place was super busy, which I don't understand why they would allow so many walk ins on top of booked appointments if it's going to overload them, doesn't make sense in a business case but ok. I waited an hour and a half. About half way through that time I come in to ask if my dog was okay, she is a pug so it's normally an express service and has never taken that long so I was starting to get worried about her. The girl I spoke to just kind of looked at me and didn't give me any reassurance, didn't go back to check on her or anything. So I went back out and waited some more. Finally they say she is ready. The groomer comes out and says do you want to go ahead and pay while I get her ready, so I do. The line is super long, only two registers up and running. Finally I pay and come back in, and THEN they tell me that they weren't able to cut all of her nails, only one paw out of 4 and her back paw at that. Oh great! So you told me to go pay knowing full well the service wasn't fully accomplished? Then they tell me I can come back on a less busy day, there's a lot of dogs there maybe my dog is just too anxious, they won't charge me if I just come back. I left mad because it was a huge waste of time but fine. I'll give them one more shot. I call today, Monday, to make sure they're not busy before I come in. I'm taking time away from work to do this each time by the way. I come in and they still cannot cut all of her nails. I gave her a calming chew. I asked if they used the cone on her so she wouldn't nip. The girl was uniformed about which breeds they were able to use the cone on so she said no and that she'd try again. I wait some more. Come back, and she tells me now for the third time that they cannot cut her nails and I should try a vet. I spoke to a manager as I'm very frustrated at this point, and she was less than helpful and also pretty rude when I was so visibly upset. She told me that there was nothing she could do if the staff "didn't feel comfortable" cutting my dog's nails. I don't know, train them better? That's their job? She was ready to send me on my way until I ASKED for a refund, which they did give me. I. Will. Not. Be. Returning. Ever. I never had this issue with the Beavercreek Petsmart when I lived closer to that location and took my dog there for 3 years.
