I've had a good experience with Dr Chip, and he took good care of my dog but I had a horrible experience with Dr Hiegel. Dr Hiegel didn't offer any real knowledge, for even the most basic questions. I asked her about dog food and she said she doesn't know what kinds are out there. She barely touched my dog and didn't seem to want to spend the time on the exam. I saw what seemed to be a daycare dog standing out in the rain the whole time I was there (it didn't look like it was enjoying it). The entryway is crowded and the front area staff never seem very interested in helping anyone. Everyone is nice, I just think this vet is very overpriced for mediocre care and lack of true engagement from the staff. read more

This has been the best vet I have ever used. I started taking my dogs here after sky high prices at trying other places. The thing I love about this business is they don't try to do a bunch of things to drive up costs. For example when my one dog couldn't walk instead of trying to do xrays, etc they put her on a steroid and pain pill to see if that helped first. It did! A very similar situation happened with my French Bulldog recently. They are very good about trying to see if other options work first before doing things that will cost an arm and a leg. Dr. Chip and his Father are wonderful Vets. Very caring for your pet but also for the family. We have a AKC Boston Terrier that is having some issues in her mouth. They quickly gave us a few options and are working with us to try and give her the quality of life a dog needs. They call and check up on her and are always available when we need them. read more

My aunts dog had been suffering for a long while. She finally decided euthanizing was a mercy but she waied till late in the day. We couldnt get into her regular vet till 2pm the next day. She felt it had to be now so i called around. They were able to fit us in within the hour. They were exceptionally kind and understanding. Ohhh forgot to mention myvaunt was too upset to come in so i had to do the hard thing. Its bones were sticking out .. failure to thrive, blind, seizures. It was hard and sad. Wevhad just went through it with our dog so it was especially hard. They were super expensive but if its an emergency... they are here. They were very professional and empathetic. read more

My dog suddenly started having seizure like activity, went unconscious and incontinent of bowel. I got her breathing again. Rushed her to this urgent care hospital (during their regular hours) as it was closest place. I walked in with her in my arms barely breathing and after I explained the situation/symptoms to the three young ladies at the front desk, they told me "we don't accept walk ins." I knew there wasn't going to be much time as my dog was having multiple of the symptoms listed on their website as an "urgent care situation" so l left and drove to the next closest hospital. Unfortunately, my dog did not make it and when I arrived at the next hospital she had passed away before we could get in to receive care. I am writing this review so nobody else has to go through this. Save your time and your pets life and go somewhere else! The lack of concern for this urgent matter was so unethical and inhumane! The least they could have done was stabilize the animal so I could safely get her to the next level of care if they didn't have the resources. read more

I'm always nervous when selecting a new vet for my fur babies. I've had some unpleasant experiences in the past. Mostly with the folks working at the front desk. This was NOT an issue here! Well we have a AKC puppy and with the AKC we got a certificate for a free wellness visit of which they did not honor. Also the Dr.said she could smell a yeast infection brewing in his ear but did not give us any direction as to what to get for him nor did we receive prescription for. Very cold and uncaring. Won't be back!! I recommend you don't go either. Also the clip board where you fill out all your information was left out for anyone to see and get the social security number, address.... We took our dog over there today. The staff was wonderful to us and with her! She is terrified to go to the vet. She did well with them which took a great deal of stress off of us during our visit. Our previous vet is closing up shop, so we had to find someone to help her as she got stung or bit by a bug on the eyelid. This is the Memorial Day weekend and we got an appointment. Dr. Beal and Dr. Chip have provided truly compassionate, professional care for our three dogs for years. They both love animals and treat them like their own pets, and treat the pets owners like family. They are always welcoming and receptive to owners input. In addition to providing veterinary care, they also have boarding and doggy daycare. We have used both of these services many times, and we always knew our dogs were in the most competent, caring hands. Our dogs always came home clean and happy. The director of their daycare, a wonderful woman named Kirium, is AMAZING. She truly loves dogs and it shows in everything she does and in how the dogs bond with her. She treats every dog like they are hers and showers them with affection. Their staff, like the doctors, are warm, caring, and understanding. They treat all pets as they would treat their own. The only reason we are no longer under their stellar care is that we moved out of state. I cannot recommend this wonderful group of professionals highly enough!! I'll never forget when my sweet kitty was dying and we went to another vet who said it would be hours before they could see her and dismissed us. I cannot say enough good things about this vet! I was traveling and only in Ohio for a few days to get a puppy. Last minute I found out he was too heavy to ride in the cabin of the plane with me so I needed a health certificate from a vet. I called only two days in advance and on a Saturday night and they were able to squeeze me in! Once I got there, the receptionists were very nice and helpful and I didn't have to wait at all to go into the exam room. The vet even gave me a whole folder full of information on care for puppies and spent a lot of time with me answering all of my questions. The vet didn't rush through our appointment or seem to be in a hurry which I was really thankful for. I was especially impressed with this service because they new I was from out of town and wouldn't be a regular client. On top of that, the room was clean and staff was friendly. We have never used this vet but I would not recommend their boarding facilities. We dropped our 7 month old pup for a week of boarding and had reservations about it when we asked to see the facility. It was not air conditioned and the week was to be in the 90s. They do offer day care activities with the stay so that's why we chose it so he wouldn't be locked in a kennel all day. When our son picked him up at 4pm on Sunday he was told that he hadn't been out to potty yet that day. I'm concerned that he may have been out a lot during the week but possibly not the weekend. He has now had diarrhea for 3 days since returning home. They charge more than most in the area, but I don't believe they are cared for as they should be. read more

Made an appointment at 12:40, waited in the car until 1:50 before calling and asking if everything was okay. She told me it would be another 30 minutes before my dog was looked at. All he had was some itchy ears. A 2 hour wait for that it ridiculous. We should have been warned about the wait at the beginning of the appointment. We decided to just leave. My dog stepped in some mineral spirits a couple of weekends ago. I was in a panic! She was obviously hurting. I bathed her and thoroughly washed her paws, but no relief. I called this office to ask advice on if I should bring her in or not. The lady that answered the phone was very sweet, she took my number and called me back. They offered a solution to our problem without requiring a visit and the bill that came along with that. Not many offices would have done the same and I appreciate that so much! It was Sunday and they were the only office open that could treat a rabbit. It was nice to have somewhere to take our little pet in a time of need. The office visit price was not to bad since it was Sunday but the little bit of medicine that came in the shot was a little pricey. The office is very clean, they were very friendly and so far our little rabbit is doing well. Even though it was somewhat expensive for the medication I really appreciate that they were there for us and saving our pet is worth it. Susan read more

Would NOT recommend this clinic. We moved to the area and needed a new vet for our 2 year old chocolate lab. When we initially met Dr. Beall, he seemed nice enough, front office staff was friendly. However, I came back about a month later because my dog had a tear on her pad. After telling the Doctor why we were there, before he even evaluated my dogs pad, he diagnosed her with an ACL tear. He looked at her pad for 1 second, quickly dismissed my concern and proceeded to put her under sedation for an X-ray to diagnose the tear. The x-ray came back negative but he still was certain she had at least a partial tear. So he put her on anti-inflammatory medication and sent us home...$485 later! I returned one week later because my dog now had an infected pad on her paw, still no issues with her knee. Dr. Beall entered the room with his son, a Vet student and immediately became confrontational, raising his voice to my boyfriend and myself, making us very uncomfortable. He had nothing to say about the pad or the likely misdiagnosis of an ACL tear costing me 485 dollars originally and then charged me another 105 dollars for an office visit and then to give my dog what I originally came for, antibiotics. So, if you want to pay $600 for antiobiotics or feel bullied into making medical decisions for your dog, go see Dr. Beall. I'm not one to write reviews like this, but I don't want anyone to have to go through what we went through at this clinic. read more

We have been coming here for over 15 years and never had a problem until this past weekend. We boarded our rottweiler there this past week. Every day we got the exact same text message saying he was fine, eating well, taking his pain pills twice a day as we had requested. We picked him up after 7 days of boarding and as soon as we got home we noticed the fur on his cheek was coated with a very foul-smelling drainage and on further inspection some very red skin underneath the fur. We took him back to have Dr. Beall look at it and he became confrontational and defensive with my husband, accusing us of blaming him for causing this problem. Now obviously we were not blaming him for causing the problem (as my husband tried to explain; we have no idea where it came from), but we were very disappointed that it was not noticed and treated. It was very obvious. He had a large area of fur on his cheek that was covered with dried drainage, and it smelled awful. They didn't notice this when they were giving him his pills, trimming his nails, or when they gave him his bath? Now they did not charge us for the stuff they gave us to treat it, but one of the staff members did tell my husband that we should probably not bring the dog back there. Gee, you think? read more

I would not recommend this vet. We actually had our dog see Dr Beall for a couple years and loved him. Unfortunately, our girl needed to be seen but the appointment was made with a after hours Doc. They seemed to do unnecessary treatment along with "mistreat" my dog. During her exam the vet tech was very inappropriate with restraining my dog while the doc handled her aggressively without going into details. I must say our dog is a "big baby" who has never had issues but was very scared with this staff member. Dr Beall did contact us about our visit because we were so upset- he did not apologize however did ask us if we wanted off his mailing list since he is big in the community and sends out alot of flyers since we were unsure about going back for our dogs follow up. I can say he definitely let us know with that statement how much he really appreciated his community and it guarantees we will NEVER go back. I can say my family is traumatized by this act of mistreatment to our dog. read more
