I just moved to the area and I wanted a good vet and I heard both good and bad about this vet, and I decided to find out for myself. I liked the doc that took care of my pup, she spent a lot of time with my pup and she explained everything she was looking at on my pup. I did feel it was a little more expensive than I was used to in New Mexico, but I am willing to pay a little more for good care. I will continue my pups care at this place, very convenient to my home and the office is very inviting. read more

I had to find a vet rather quickly today as my cat was in obvious distress. They got us in this evening, I cannot express enough how caring and accommodating the entire staff was, we I unfortunately had to make that tough tough decision, but the vet techs and our veterinarian (I wish I remembered his name, was a little stressed) were beyond compassionate, caring, and supportive. Thank you to the entire staff, you all are truly angels... Rhonda and Bill Hauer read more

I unfortunately had to put my cat down yesturday. When I tell you how kind and amazing the staff was my cat got the best care. The vet was amazing. She talked me through everything and never rushed me out so I can be with my cat. read more

The staff is so considered and supportive. They listen and explain the options. They truly seem to care about the animal and its needs. Their approach to the necessary service was kind and understanding. read more

We came to SVC today for an urgent visit on my ill/injured kitten. They got us in as a new patient within a couple of hours and took amazing care of kitten. I was very worried about her and immediately felt relief by the kindness and compassion of everyone from the front desk, techs, and Dr Castro. I was very impressed with his bedside manner, caring concern and length of time of spent explaining his plan. I'm happy to report my kitten is playful and much more active/happy tonight after the prompt and skilled care we received today. We will be making the switch to this office after seeing my previous vet for 9 years. read more

Suburban Veterinary Clinic - Feeling much better after her medication and fluids - Veterinarians Near Me - Dayton, Ohio

We've always taken our dogs to Suburban. First Dr Brown who has since retired and now Dr Ormsby. They are so caring.

We had an amazing first visit! Thank you for going the extra mile to make sure that my pup felt comfortable!

I have been taking my dogs there for over 10 years. I would not go anywhere else. Dr. Koester and his staff are the best and very caring.

Always treated like family here. Very professional staff. We've been coming here for 8 years now and the entire four-legged side of our fam is well taken care of! If you're looking for a vet or a change to new, this is the place and team for you! read more

This clinic never answers their phone. I call 5 times and all I get is a recording. then music and then they tell you they will call back. when they do call back it's after hours and you miss their call your Just out of luck. They AI must Female Shih Tzu and she did not get pregnant. I have tried call to see if they would repeat the procedure and can't reach them. I had another clinic said they did the whole procedure wrong and the wrong time. I would not recommend this clinic for any anim procedures to any one. Kenneth read more

Weird to give a 5-star rating to the vet who euthanized our dog, but for whatever reason we decided to use them for this instead of our normal vet. They were incredibly kind to me and my family as we brought our dog in. Someone met us at the door and brought us right to a room. They explained the process very calmly and gave us all the time we needed to say good-bye. As awful as that time was, it was helpful to have so many kind and compassionate people help you through it. read more

Do not bring your animals to this vet. They will take a simple diagnostic like "worms" in your animals system and look over them. Instead what they will do is try and pump your animal full of $1000 plus treatments that will do nothing to help the animal and on top of that, they will constantly remind you how you probably need to prepare to put your beloved animal down. Years and years of Vet school for both of their vets to become lifeless scam artists. The internet can save your pet better than these Jack offs. read more

In May my Newfoundland was taken to Suburban Vet for an infection. She had lost over 30 pounds. Vet said blood test all ok. Gave her antibiotics. In June she started limping. Suburban vet said pulled or torn ACL. Give it a few weeks. I went to another veterinarian for a consult. No ACL injury. Dog has bone cancer. She died two months later. Suburban vets never diagnosed cancer. Their examination was pathetic. read more

I love suburban vet. My dog has been coming here since he was a puppy. All of the doctors are extremely friendly and helpful. I had one experience with a doctor who was not the best, but he retired/is retiring soon. Love how well they care for my pup. read more

Suburban Veterinary Clinic - Veterinarians Near Me - Dayton, Ohio

Dr. Ormsby is phenomenal. She has been so wonderful taking care of our Murphy. Would definitely recommend taking your pup to her!

I will not use this place again. I had my dog scheduled for surgery in Dec of 2018. Went to another vet and they charged about 40%, so I canceled out surgery with Suburban Veterinary Clinic. I then received a bill from a visit 8 months before for $110.00. I payed all charges that they gave me at every time I was there with my dog. So when I canceled the surgery they then found a lab charge. They said it was never given to me at the time of service. 8 months later? I talked to the office about it and they just said pay it you owe us the money. I am going to pay it, but it will be the last money they get form me. The doctor was great and I hate to lose him, but the front office, well they just lost me. I have never sent a review before, so this really got to me. read more

We've taken our Border Collie there for several years and we've been very happy with their service.

While visiting family in December, my Jack Russell Terrier got sick. He wouldn't eat or drink and had lost almost 2 pounds in a very short period of time. We had visited a vet in our now hometown of Mesa, Arizona and that appeared to fix him right up. But he relapsed the Saturday after Christmas. Suburban was open early that morning. They did much of the same treatment as Schooner received in Phoenix and that did the trick. Within a day or two he was eating and drinking normally. I hope never to need to need Suburban Veterinary Clinic again, but next time we're visiting friends and family in Centerville, if need be, I will bring Schooner here. Than you! read more

Although the vet herself was great - the front desk and office policies are awful. Arrived at my appointment 10 minutes before my scheduled time, with all completed paperwork - then waited 40 minutes - while 7 other people came in and were seen. When I finally asked about the status of my appointment - 30 minutes after I was due to have been seen, I was told by the front desk that their policy is to lie (she used the word "tell" not lie) to new clients and tell them their appointment time is 30 minutes before the time they are actually scheduled so that they arrive on time and can complete any needed paperwork. It was absolutely insulting and a tremendous waste of my time. Obviously the vet/owners feel that their time is far more valuable than that of their clients. I now am suspicious of their care, pricing and anything else they tell me. Not a great way to start a relationship! read more

Intelligent and well educated vets work here. They are very thorough and have up to date knowledge. I take my cats here. It is more costly than my dog's vet, but they take great care of my cats. read more

After a dismal prognosis on my 9 year old yorkie, I came in to consult with Dr. Lee Schafer and got some wonderful news that two other vets had diagnosed. I am so thankful that my friend referred me to her! The facility is so clean and the staff is so friendly, I'm going to sing their praises until I can't sing anymore! Thank you so much! read more

I will never take any pets of mine to this clinic again. I recently had to put my little dog to sleep because he had a terminal disease and could no longer eat. It just felt like no one cared how traumatic this experience can be. I was immediately taken back to a room which was nice, however, when my dog was taken to a back room to insert the iv all I could hear was loud laughter. It took a very long time before he was brought back into the room which made me wish I'd opened the door to ask what was going on and he was already unresponsive when he was brought back to me. He was alert prior to this leading me to believe the vet had already sedated him when I specifically asked them to wait until he was with me. The vet who put him to sleep was not the usual vet we see. She was very cold and just methodical like she was in a hurry to do something else, all with this weird smile on her face. When it was over she grabbed the blanket around my dog to pick him up like she was taking out the trash. When I paid, the receptionist just stared at me. Can you not say "I'm sorry, I know this is hard to deal with?" I've taken pets here for over 30 years, but no more. It upsets me terribly to imagine the "care" he got when he had to stay overnight to get iv fluids. And not even a sympathy card/note from them after taking my dog to them for 13 years. I'm sure I will eventually get another dog and will find a better place to take him. read more

We couldn't be more pleased. Dr. Hoying is a fantastic vet. She has gone far beyond the norm on multiple occasions. Most recently, when we moved out of the area, she worked closely with us to ensure that our sick pet was properly cared for during the transition. She even made herself availiable over the phone (as necessary) until we found a vet in our new location. SHE IS THE BEST, A REAL PRO! read more

Dr. Koester is the most caring and wonderful vet a person with a beloved pet could ask for! He took very good care of my dog all the way from a puppy to the end. I am very grateful for such compassionate care. read more

I've been taking my cat here for about a year now and I couldn't be happier! Dr. Hoying is amazing, and the ladies who groom his nails do a great job as well. The girls at the desk are also very friendly. Best vet I've been to yet! :) read more
