My Jesse was very sick. Wouldn't eat or drink even. I was scared we were going to lose him. He's 19…read moreyears old but healthy otherwise. He'd never been this sick before. I took him to another vet who did almost nothing and then said to wait it out. Went to Springfield Animal Hospital and they did bloodwork. Their only concern was that he was dehydrated. So they gave him some fluids and sure enough, he started coming around. Took Jesse home and he overcame whatever it was. He's healthy as can be. Thanks to Springfield Animal Hospital for caring so much for my Jesse the cat.

I am not one to typically write reviews but I would like to warn other pet owners of my experience…read more It is expensive, the other reviews are correct. I would not have an issue with an extra expense if the care was above and beyond, but that was not my experience. I had a cat which was a stray who needed to be spayed and have a check up. I ended up paying twice what I was quoted over the phone at the initial appointment, so this is something people should be aware of. The cat did end up having a parasite, understandable, she was a stray. I was shamed like I saw mentioned in another review. She had not been in my care for more than two weeks at this point, I was trying to do my best and did not appreciate being told I was not cleaning a litter box or laundering things properly in my home. Slightly annoying as I had told them she had been outside, but I booked a spay appointment. They also prescribed an additional supplement for the cat which they placed a label over the ingredients but the first was psyllium husk and this cost me $10 more than it was listed for on Amazon. I was told a different time to drop her off for her spay appointment by every person I had contact with before the appointment. I had to ask at the desk the first time and they told me 8. A print out from the office stated 8:15. Someone on the phone told me between 7:30 and 8 and then a text service they have told me between 7 and 7:30. Very confusing and did not instill confidence in this facility. I was able to drop the cat off despite not knowing what time to do this at, when I got her home I saw that three of her nipples had been cut and had dried up blood on them. Things happen, but three is a bit excessive in my humble opinion. I hate to write something so negative about a local business, but I would recommend pet owners find an alternative where they and their pet will likely be attended to better, treated in a more respectful manner and it is very likely will cost less.

Towne & Country Animal Clinic - As you can see she is my baby

Dr. Dave is absolutely amazing, he treats his patients like they are his own fur babies. My indoor…read morecat snuck out of our house last month and was struck by a car. When I found my cat he was mangled. I did not think he would survive the accident. This happened over the holiday weekend so I was forced to take my cat to the emergency vet. After the emergency vet obtained payment of $1,500 the vet then attempted to help my cat. After taking a quick look at him they recommended amputating his leg because he leg had been de-gloved and the vet was not optimistic on his recovery. I decided to leave him there over night so he could be properly cleaned, receive pain medication and to monitor him until Towne and Country opened the following day. We picked my cat up first thing in the morning and took him straight to Dr. Dave where he was able successfully perform surgery and save my cats leg. The process took 3 very challenging hours of surgery that included several opticals. My cats growth plate had broke and a piece had went into the hip socket. Dr Dave was able to remove the piece, repair the growth plate and place the leg back in the socket. My cat had been drug so his skin had been torn from his body. Dr. Dave took the time and tent stitched him together. Dr. Dave had to remove his toe because it was completely torn and not enough skin left to cover it. (My cat doesn't even notice it is missing) After 5 days in ICU my cat was able to come home. We went in last week and had the stitches removed and everything healed perfect, you can not even tell that Dr. Dave had to piece and putt the skin together. He is now walking, running and jumping with all 4 legs! While my cat was a patient he received laser therapy to reduce the pain from the surgery and shorten the healing time. Dr. Dave did not request payment until we picked my cat up, unlike the emergency vet who would not even attempt to stop the bleeding before payment was made. Had I not taken him to Dr. Dave my cat would not be here today, let alone walking on all 4's. The emergency vet did not care to actually take the time to do the surgery and stitch him back together. They wanted to amputate. My cat would have died from an infection because after paying them $1,500 Dr. Dave spent a significant amount of time cleaning the dirt and gravel out of his body where the skin had been torn off. I paid Dr.Dave the same amount for surgery, medicine a kitty ICU stay and 3 follow up appointments. My cat formed a bond with Dr. Dave. At one visit my cat tried to climb up Dr. Dave's leg so he would hold him and when he does hold my cat he runs bumps his nose on Dr. Dave's face. He is content being held by him as well. He actually purrs for him. It is incredible to find somebody that demonstrates that much love for his patients. Thank you Dr.Dave and the staff at Towne and Country animal hospital for saving Max's life and leg. I would also like to thank you for updating me 3 times a day while Max was there and all the love and support you provided to Max and my family.
