I gave you a 1 because it makes you. You don't deserve even that! I had an equine life threatening emergency February 25, 2021 I called and spoke to triage person who said you'd call me within 30 minutes I told her my horse was going to die tonight if i didn't find a VET to help him. You were the closet to him and could've probably saved his life with early intervention. Never received a call back so after an hour passed I called again. Once again she said she'd call you and have you call me. I explained to her my horse had colicked and it was life threatening. My family and I spent 2 hours on 5 phones calling and begging for help. we finally found a VET to come from 1.5 hours away, but they were willing and I gladly accepted any help for him. I still held out hope that YOU WOULD CALL & COME HELP HIM. This DR. Had originally said no because of the distance but they called me back an hour later which by then we were over 2 hours into this emergency but they cared enough to call and come help him. Precious time had been ticking away. Almost 5 hours into his emergency they arrived assessed and treated him. It was colic. I can rest easy knowing that I, a nurse not a VET did all I could for him. If you don't want to handle large animal emergencies then you shouldn't offer that service. You should ALWAYS CALL YOUR CLIENTS BACK NO MATTER WHAT!! I have been a long time client of yours Dr KING and I am very disappointed. My beloved horse died, he didn't have to. You were the closet to him and likely could've saved him If you had cared enough to call and come try! I'm going to suggest you read the oath you took to refresh your memory. If you can't live up to it then you need to make a decision. I called your office Friday to complain about the very poor customer service. You should've at least called me back I continued to hang on to false hope that you were going to call and likely would come knowing my horse was going to die without emergency help. I told the triage girl that this was a life threatening emergency and without help he was going to die! At this writing I still have not received a phone call from you or your office. You need to run this case through a quality assurance review to ensure that this never happens again! My BELOVED HORSE DIED IS THE OUTCOME. HIS NAME WAS BROGAN AND I LOVED HIM WITH ALL OF MY HEART AND SOUL! Remember his name is BROGAN AND HIS death is blood on your hands. You should be ashamed! This used to be a great vet clinic until Dr King left. Then COVID was the final straw for me. Understandably, at the beginning of the pandemic they started curbside check-in, however I STILL cannot go in with my pet! Then I find out, after expensive testing (that they apparently didn't read!) they never mentioned or treated my pet for what the test results stated was wrong! My pets have been patients of Northside Veterinary Clinic for over 15 years, but since Dr King has cut back his hours and is no-longer doing surgeries I haven't been happy with the quality of care my fur-babies have been receiving. Time to look for a new Veterinarian. read more

I have used a few different vets over the years. I also happen to have a dog with a rare lung condition who sees a specialist homeopathic style vet out of dayton. In an emergency Northside has seen her. They have respected what I have told them about the history and provide me access to meds she needs without needing to drive all the way to dayton. I have another dog with diabetes they treat. Additionally I have 2 other dogs and 2 cats they have seen. They have been very accommodating with emergency issues and squeezing them in when needed. I like most of the staff. They respect my views about certain routine treatments I generally abstain from. There is one vet that I am less fond of tbh, she just doesn't have the bedside manner I prefer but I certainly wouldn't call her unknowledgeable or unprofessional she just doesn't seem as empathetic as others. There are 2 that I really prefer over all the others. Overall this is a great facility that cares for the animals they see. Cost is in the nice middle ground compared to other vets I have seen over the years. read more

I had called to board my chocolate lab Tuck in October 2019 and was advised he would need a flu vaccine before he could be boarded. Since I had taken him there for years always with healthy well checks I took him in to get the shot on a Friday morning. I noticed on Sunday he was panting more than normal but it had been hot that day. Monday morning at 4:30 A.M. I was awakened by his panting and when checking on him he was having seizures. I immediately called the Northside Clinic and talked to a lady at the answering service. She informed me the doctor on call probably would not respond and to wait 20 minutes and if no response take him to Med-Vet 36 miles away. I did not receive a call back and drove him to Med-Vet as he was still having seizures. Upon arrival at Med-Vet he continued to seizure and was hooked to a heart monitor. I was told a short time later he was in heart failure and I made the decision to put him down. Med-Vet informed Northside of the circumstances yet I received a voice mail at 4:00 P.M. that afternoon from one of the techs inquiring about the episode and I could bring him in for blood work. After researching the flu shot for dogs I wrote a letter to the doctors at Northside inquiring about the safety of the vaccine as most vets advise against it and also if it could have been the cause of the heart failure. Approximately three weeks later I received a phone call from one of the receptionists stating she wanted to talk about the letter I had sent. Needless to say I did not return the call. Tuck's death was never acknowledged. If I would decide to get another dog I will not return to Northside. read more

Huge prices. Didn't see the same vet twice. A different one each time. My dog caught kennel cough when he was in for a $245 neuter...no one apologized, instead they denied it to the end and handed me another bill for $90. Never going back. And by the way, my very contagious dog was paraded through the entire waiting room full of OTHER dogs - even after diagnosis to make sure to PAY THAT BILL!!!!! read more
