Food - better than average. I prefer Raisin Cane's. This place though has everything from normal country spice to Angry (requires signing a waiver). Good food, just a preference. Drinks here are like $2.50, $2 with a #1 ( 2 chickz sliders and fries $17) to #4 meal, a good price that include sodas or 4 different teas. Pick your heat, they got it. Service - they moved through 400+ customers in 1.5 hours. Once ordered, took about 10 minutes or less. Ambiance- fast food chicken higher end than In-n-out, not as nice a Raisin Cane's. Right across from Costco next to IHOP. Give it a try, put some spice in your life. read more

Both times here, the customer service was weird. First time was opening day. The initial cashier person was nice & I ordered a slider & side of mac & cheese. Slider was mostly bun & coleslaw. They only include one tender in it & it wasn't....girthy enough (sorry, first word that come to mind) so every other bite didn't include any chicken. Mac & cheese was okay, but only ate half of it there & took the rest home so I could add more salt & pepper to it. However, the person that called my name for the food then made me walk ALL the way back to my seat to grab my receipt so she could confirm it was me? Lol Second time I came in, the person delivered my food to the table, but when I asked if I could get an extra bowl for my angry mac, told me that she was too busy to bring that over & to walk up to the front to get it. It wasn't busy. At all. And she was the same one to hand it to me....ooof. Chicken at Dave's is overall better as well, so I may just have to stick to that one & possibly visit the Angry Chickz location in CH (apparently the better one in the area) in the future. read more

I was looking forward to eating here and was very disappointed. The chicken is just ok but what really bothered me was the price. Charging $5 per chicken strip at a fast food restaurant is ridiculous - especially for less than average chicken. The crust was nice and crunchy but the chicken was almost watery tasting. Tenders are crisp, made to order and cooked properly. Heat levels are accurate, medium has a little hit and hot will clear the sinuses. Fries are good (nothing amazing) and come seasoned. My only constructive criticism is the place feels like an icebox inside, we sat outside it was so cold inside on a 90° day. Also the pickles are bread and butter which I found odd, would prefer dill. Overall this is a good addition, would recommend checking it out. read more

For what it's worth, I like Angry Chickz! They tried really hard to make this former Carls Jr into an engaging place to eat. A little Instagrammable and pretty good food. The chicken is hot, but my fries were cold! The sauce was decent and the drinks are cheap. A soda is $2.00 when it's a Combo. That's about half price of most places. I enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich at this location more than any of the other chains I've tried. The seasoning was much more flavorful, and I liked that you can choose your preferred spice level. The bread served with the tenders is also a nice, thick, buttery bread that was a great addition. There's plenty of seating, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. read more

Food was awesome! Not the healthiest but very tasty. Depending on your tolerance for heat, I think the heat spectrum there increases rapidly. I ordered mild the first time and it tasted like a medium heat to "me" but I'm a baby when it comes to spicy. The lines were constant but service was still pretty quick. I didn't go inside so couldn't tell you what that was like. Food to go was quick and tasty from the drive-through. Will be back read more

This location is the best the chicken is always juicy and huge tenders and the Mac and cheese is fire compared to Citrus Heights it's always dry there and has a wierd taste... and this one has a drive thru even cooler read more

We have tried Angry Chickz 3 x in 3 weeks. Every time our order has been wrong, even though the receipt clearly states everything as we clearly ordered it. The soda fountain all three weeks has had air in the line. Customer Service is lacking. Each time was a different associate with different issues. My biggest pet peeve is dipping sauce is not always included with your chicken. I have always ordered the same thing and the first time sauce was included. Second time I had to leave my food and stand in line again for sauce, then learned I had to pay for it. So back to my seat to get money for sauce. Now my chicken was cold. Third time I ordered sauce when ordering my meal. This is the only place i know of that sauce is not included with your meal. I like the taste of this chicken and their mac & cheese is pretty good. Thumbs down on the fries. The lobby has always been clean :) read more

As a long time fan of Citrus Heights location, I was excited to try out this new location which is a bit closer. Fries were good similar to the other location. Not having to punch in code to use the restroom was also nice. Sandwich itself was comparable, albeit the meat wasn't as juicy. Ordered total of 4 sandwiches with same heat level except one and they have marked the wrong one as being different so that spoiled the night. read more

It was fine. The food, when we got it, was fine. The service was fine. I was disappointed that the worker listened to me and my son debate what the appropriate heat level for him was and did not tell us samples were available but after I ordered and was seated I watched her tell the next 4 customers they had samples if they weren't sure what to try. The fries were the star of the show the chicken was you guessed it fine. The wait to get our food was interminable and not because they were packed there was one customer in front of us. My kids and I discussed it and we will likely just continue to eat at Dave's Hot Chicken even though we could walk to Angry Chickz. Edit: just to make it clear how mid this experience was, I honestly wasn't even gonna bother to review it until Yelp emailed me and reminded me I went. I signed up for their free chicken slider. I ordered the free slider and told the cashier I would like to order and extra slider and an order of fries. She repeated my order. My order came out on a platter. She didn't ask if my order was for dine in or take out. When my platter came out I told her it was to go. She gave me a box and told me she didn't want to touch my food, so I boxed it myself. So I only got the free slider and fries , but not the extra slider like I ordered. The bun on the slider seemed like it was lightly steamed, it fell apart after the first bit. The chicken itself was good. Some of the fries tasted like they were cooked long enough. They were not crispy, but a little soggy. I might try them one more time, maybe. They still have some growing pains to sort through. read more

Waited over 30 minutes in the drive thru, they spilled sauce all inside the bag, they then asked for a tip. Food was dog shit.

We ordered 3 things. One meal was totally wrong. The other one was so hot not "enjoyable hot". The third was fine. Fries were not crispy and neither was the chicken. Skip this place and go to Kiki's! What was left went in the garbage. read more

Great spot to eat at I actually enjoy it , what I don't enjoy... how is it that I can get all fries no Mac on my bowl, but I can't do no fries with all Mac ; that I don't understand and it kinda sucks honestly cus the Mac is good but the fries well ... The good is their customer service and mac n cheese. The fact we were given the wrong order, drove all the way home and had to drive back to get it fixed. The manager didn't even comp the meal. That speaks volumes to me. The chicken was too hot (I ordered the mild) and the fries are too spicy. We spent almost $40 for meals we didn't get to eat.
