Slider Strip combo
David B.

Visited on a Wednesday and there was only one other person there (not the best sign). We ordered the chicken slider/chicken strip combo with fries, an extra side of Mac and cheese and two fountain drinks. The place screams "average" from the time you walk in and that's what it lived up to. We ordered the medium spice level and there was nothing to it. The chicken was a little rubbery too boot. The fries were very good and Mac and cheese was great but at $5 we got about 4 bites. I would say Canes and Slim Chicken are a definite step up from this place. Skip it is my recommendation. "FIMP" Food is my Passion

Angry Mac

The service was really good. The girl at the counter was very nice and very honest about the level of heat. She did inform us that they use Carolina reapers. I also liked that they only charge you $2 for a drink when you purchase a bowl or combo. Spiciness aside, I was not a fan of the seasonings they sprinkle on everything. I can see why people might enjoy it. But for me, it gave everything a powdery texture and I didn't enjoy the flavor.

I've been to Angry Chickz several times and I love it! I usually go for the Angry Mac bowl at medium spice, but this time decided to try something different. We got the two sliders with fries at medium spice. I tried hot spice once and never again... it was too spicy for me LOL. The sliders were good - the coleslaw neutralized the heat (temperature and spice-wise) from the sandwich so it was good to dig in immediately. Sad they don't have coke zero and just diet coke :(

Angry Mac!!!

Chicken sliders mild with Mac

Checked out this place and went to the drive thru. Ordered chicken sliders with Mac and cheese and chicken tender sliders with coleslaw and fires. The portions are fail chicken was flavorful and crispy. The fries were really seasoned and delicious. Their sauce was good and I really enjoyed the chicken. It was pricey but worth it because I got full off my plate and that usually never happens when I eat out. Definitely would recommend checking them out good flavorful chicken! Service was great

Combo 1. 2 sliders, Medium heat was very weak. GREAT fries!

My buddy was talking about this place, and how good the fries were. I'm down with some hot chicken, and I love some good fries, so I decided to drive down and check them out. I went with a Combo 1, Medium Heat. Total was around $18.00. How was it? Sliders- Rather large. Huge pieces of chicken which I enjoyed. The slaw/pickles/sauce were just ok though. The slaw was a bit watery/mayonaisey, and the sauce wasn't anything special. Other hot chicken places have better sliders. They were big though, and if/when I come back, I will just get the sliders with bun/chicken/pickles only. The medium heat was a bit weak too. Not "hot" at all and barely any spice. Medium was more like Mild IMO. Fries- Hot damn! These were great! My buddy was raving about them, and said hes picky when it comes to fries, and he loved these. He was right! They were piping hot, almost battered like, and then seasoned. They were really good fries and worth coming back just for those. Overall, solid. I would come back again, kick up the spice level to Hot, and probably enjoy my meal a lot more. Drive thru was really nice, and the lady at the window was friendly enough.

Tender, juicy, perfect heat packed into a small chicken slider! I enjoyed my sandwich a lot. Got the medium hot and it wasn't to overbearing with the spice. Fries were served fresh with my meal, hot and crispy crunch with each bite. Service was 5/5. Ambiance tidy. Welcoming atmosphere for all families

Finally came by to check them out. I ordered the Angry Mac which consisted of two tenders (medium spice) over fries with Mac and cheese. I also ordered the combo #4 which was two tenders (medium spice) over buttery rice with pickles and slaw. The food was great. I had fresh chicken served when I ordered. Drove home for thirty minutes and the food was still nice and hot. Food for packaged well also. The chicken was hot and juicy with good flavoring. I ordered medium spice as I was informed hot spice contained ghost pepper. But honestly, I am tempted to try it as the medium was just a medium and didn't really give me the kick I was looking for in spice. I utilized the drive thru at this location and ordered at the window. Staff was great, friendly and attentive even during the fresh chicken in the making. Can't wait to return and try the next heat up!

Combo #3
Destiney S.

They have a drive-thru!!! Ordered the #3 Combo which included the sandwich and tender along with fries. I ordered it in "HOT", employee asked if I was sure as it had ghost peppers. I thought the Hot was great!! More than enough kick and I loved it! Chicken was great and wasn't dry. I thought the fries were great too, perfect crisp. I was disappointed that my food wasn't hot temperature wise. Nobody likes to receive warm food. I also wasn't thrilled that when ordering a combo, it doesn't include a drink. It's a $16 combo and a drink can't be included?? Overall, food portion was great, chicken had great flavor. Hot really does mean hot! But the lack of drink included and lukewarm food kept the rating from being higher. I would visit again so we'll see if food temp is better next time.

I was driving by this spot and decided to stop to grab lunch since I had heard about it. First, the meals/combos were a little weird too me I just didnt see anything with regular chicken tenders or something simple so I ordered combo 3 with no slaw or sauce. 1. The drive thru service was good! The guy made recommendations on the heat level to get because when I read the reviews I was nervous. Thank you for the recommendation. 2. Overall, taste was decent. The pickled were bomb and the chicken was tender not dry. I liked the heat level but overall the chicken could have had a bit more flavor. I did get the sauce on the side and the sauce was not that great The fries were delish!!!! I would go back just because the chicken wasnt all hard and actually pretty good - hope they pit a regular chicken tenders meal on the menu

Drive thru is nice. Service was fine. I ended up getting the angry mac hot. Layer of fries with the tenders on top of that and Mac and cheese on top of that. They do like their paprika. It was okay. I've had better bowls like this. The food was fine but only if it's not out of your way like it was for me. Probably won't be back.

Angry Chickz is a Nashville Style Chicken Tender Chain of fast food restaurants that opened their first location in North Glendale also called the upper west side of Metro Phoenix. This fast food is a much better quality than your typical fast food. The chicken seems a comparable quality to supermarket chicken. Also the cole slaw is usually good. The biggest problem are the heat levels. They come in 6 heat levels but anything over medium (hot, x hot, angry) is NOT EDIBLE. Medium is plenty HOT. Another issue is take out and the condition of the food. We did take out. The only tender that was very good and crunchy was the tender called country. I have to say it really was crunchy, really moist, tender, and delicious. But sadly all the other tenders didn't take out well and were all wet and moist of the outside with a powdery sensation in the mouth that was weird. The chicken however was very moist, and tender. The slaw was very good and fresh, crunchy and didn't drip a bit. The buttery rice was also very good. Portions were bigger than what I was expecting. We got way more than we needed. We encountered a slight opening hiccup while ordering. We ordered a side of mac 'n' cheese. The cashier read back mac 'n' cheese....but we didn't get it but got more fries instead. The food might be better enjoyed to have dining in instead of take out.

Nothing amazing. It feels overpriced. Extremely limited menu, so don't bother going unless you want southern style hot chicken.

It was an exciting time when students learned they would be getting a Chick-fil-A, Qdoba, Papa Johns, and Jamba Juice. The Chick-fil-A in Cafe West even received a big upgrade this past summer. It's nice having such a popular restaurant right in the middle of the ASU West Valley Campus in the University Center Building (UCB) next to the Sun Devil Campus Stores and the Art Space West. The new and improved Chick-fil-A now works with GrubHub for pick-up orders. While GrubHub is an easy way to use GrubHub perks while placing an order, you can also walk right up in Cafe West and place an order on the kiosk, and then your number shows up on a board to share whether you are still waiting for the order or whether it is ready for you. You can receive a text alert when your order is ready, too, and the Chick-fil-A staff will also call out your order so it is difficult to miss it when your order is ready. The staff at Chick-fil-A and in Cafe West in general are very nice and helpful. They are used to helping the college students and staff, and they get excited when they recognize someone stopping by. While it would be easy to not talk to anyone thanks to the new system in place, I make a point to say hello and ask how the staff are doing. While this particular Chick-fil-A will does not participate in the Chick-fil-A One program, I still encourage you to sign up for rewards. You receive 10 points for every dollar spent on qualifying orders, and rewards start at only 200 points. At other Chick-fil-A locations, you can use the Chick-fil-A app to order and earn points. You can also receive occasional freebies including a free dessert on your birthday.

The gravy was runny as well. And sadly the extra crispy was not crunchy at all. Even the biscuits were blah. But... the Cole slaw was perfect. I am submitting a formal complaint regarding my experience at the KFC located at 3550 W Thunderbird…read moreRd, Phoenix, AZ 85053, on September 15, 2026. My order was #754683671. I placed this order through the KFC app specifically for "convenience." The order was five chicken nuggets, Comeback Sauce, and a Hot Ranch Big Dip. The subtotal was $1.49, tax was $0.13, and the total was $1.62. I arrived after placing the order, parked, walked inside, and deliberately gave the restaurant ample additional time to prepare it. When I entered, I was literally the only customer there aside from one other person. I walked to the counter and was ignored for approximately five minutes. Eventually, an employee acknowledged me and asked for my order number/name. I provided it. I was then told that my order was "being made." I accepted that answer and continued waiting. Instead of immediately escalating the situation, I gave the restaurant additional time to fulfill the order. The wait continued. What should have been a very short transaction became approximately 20-30 minutes of waiting for FIVE NUGGETS. The situation became even more difficult to understand when a whole slew of DoorDash drivers arrived after I had already been waiting. I watched substantially larger orders get completed and handed out to them before mine. I watched two full orders leave the restaurant ahead of mine. Other people who arrived after me received their orders and left while I was still standing there waiting for five tiny pieces of chicken. That is the central issue. I had already placed my order through KFC's own app. I had arrived, parked, walked inside, approached the counter, waited to be acknowledged, provided my order information, and been told that my food was being made. Meanwhile, people who arrived after me were receiving substantially larger orders and leaving. HOW does a five-piece nugget order remain outstanding while later-arriving orders are completed first? I understand that restaurants can experience delays. What I do not understand is why a tiny order was apparently left outstanding while later orders were fulfilled, particularly after I had already asked about my order and was told it was being made. If there was a legitimate reason for the delay, someone should have told me. If the kitchen was backed up, my order had been overlooked, or there was an issue with the app or kitchen system, I should have been informed. Instead, I was left standing there while other orders continued going out. The KFC app is supposed to provide "convenience." In this case, the supposed convenience became the opposite. I used the app specifically to save time and make the transaction more efficient. I gave the restaurant additional time after arriving, yet still spent approximately 20-30 minutes waiting inside. I have one life. My time is finite and valuable. The fact that my order cost only $1.62 does not make my time worth $1.62. A customer's time does not become less valuable because the customer ordered a small meal. I ultimately ate the five nuggets in approximately 30 seconds. The fact that I spent roughly 20-30 minutes waiting for food that took about 30 seconds to consume makes the situation even more unreasonable. I want KFC to investigate Order #754683671 using the actual order and operational records. Please determine: 1. When was the mobile order received by the restaurant? 2. When was it entered into the kitchen workflow? 3. Why was I ignored for approximately five minutes after approaching the counter? 4. Why was I told the order was "being made" when I subsequently waited another 20-30 minutes? 5. Why were later-arriving customers and DoorDash drivers receiving substantially larger orders before mine? 6. Was my order overlooked, misplaced, deprioritized, or affected by a staffing, equipment, inventory, point-of-sale, kitchen, or order-routing issue? 7. What corrective action will be taken at this location? Please review the electronic records rather than relying solely on employee recollection. The order number, app transaction, kitchen workflow, and completion record should establish what happened. Please do not respond with a canned apology or generic statement about customer satisfaction. I am asking for an explanation of a specific transaction with a specific order number, location, date, and completion time. Order #754683671 September 15, 2026 KFC - 3550 W Thunderbird Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85053 5 pc. Nuggets + sauces Total: $1.62 Completed: 7:27 PM Five nuggets should not become a 20-30 minute ordeal in a restaurant where customers arriving later are receiving substantially larger orders. My time matters. I expect this complaint to be taken seriously, investigated using the available order records, and escalated to the appropriate management and franchise leadership. I expect an explanation of what happened--not a template response.
