Food is always great. There was a small misunderstanding with my order today but it was rectified and it's appreciated because my family loves this pizza.

Have to admit, I haven't had pizza this good in forever. You walk in and it smells like a pizza place. No tables or option to dine there. We had a medium double pepperoni with pineapple and black olives, well done, a chef salad, spicy wings, and garlic bread. The crust was perfect and they didn't skimp on the toppings. The wings were done just right, and the spice sneaked up on you. The garlic bread was great. The salad had a ton of toppings, the only complaint would be the packaged dressing. We can hardly wait for more! Note: limited parking, no seating, no table service.

Had this delivered a pepperoni mushroom and black olive large pizza it's really yummy

We've ordered several pizzas from here they are always usually good no different this time the pizza was good crust was a tad thicker than I remember but it's still good .

    Yum!

Tasty pizza but no dining available. Very small parking lot when entering from Yearling Road. One type of crust available, but I was glad to see extra small sized pizza. Lots of cheese.

    It says it all.

Ange's has been around quite a while. This Whitehall location, it's my understanding, is the original one opened after the family settled in central Ohio, having recently arrived from Italy. Old man Ange didn't have many work skills, but he could make pizza. Good pizza, his friends and family told him. So, that's what he did. I left Columbus shortly after graduation from high school and ended up living in five time zones across the country before moving back 28 years later. I've eaten pizza from Honolulu to Boston, Anchorage to Miami, Minneapolis to San Antonio, Baltimore to San Diego, and most points in between. Tossed, thin, deep dish, stuffed, NY style, Chicago style, Sicilian style, wood-fired, barbecued...you name it and I've tried it. No basic pepperoni pizza was better than Ange's. None. Maybe Ange's makes exactly the kind of pizza I like (duh!) and I have a soft spot in my heart (stomach?) for what I ate growing up, but I don't think that's the whole explanation. Ange's has a unique and, in my opinion, heavenly combination of flavors among the crust, sauce, cheese, and spices that makes me want to eat and eat and eat until the emergency squad has to be called to restart my heart. It's that good. And I love the little pepperonis curled up with just a hint of char around the edge and a little pool of oil in the middle. It's like a work of art. Culinary art. I should take a picture of each one I get. Right before I eat it. Because this is NOT the kind of art that just sits around. It screams, "Eat me!" over and over until there's nothing left to scream. Some say that the oven makes all the difference in the world. Maybe. Ange's oven has been around for 60 years. Probably a lot more. I doubt that the oven was new when old man Ange anchored it to the floor of that little concrete block building on Yearling Rd back in the early 50s. I suppose ovens are like fine, old wristwatches: they have character. Every pepperoni pizza that goes out Ange's Pizza's door has character, too. And it's a character I get to fall in love with all over again each time I pick it up and take it home. *****

I love this pizza! Great sauce, yummy thin crust, and they're very generous with the toppings!

We…read morespent over $80 on a to-go order that included two Gina's Gem, a big cheese pizza, and a salad. The pizza arrived cold but was still edible. Unfortunately, the Gina's Gem was nothing like what was advertised. I was expecting warm, crusty bread with a roasted cheese dip on the side so you could tear pieces of bread and dip them into the cheese. Instead, the cheese had already been spread directly onto the bread and toasted together. Because of that, the bread lost the texture you would expect--it wasn't crusty or dippable at all. It ended up soft, almost soggy, and the cheese was baked onto the bread rather than being a dip. The whole appeal of the dish was supposed to be the warm bread with the roasted cheese to dip into, and that part was completely missing. Included with the bread was a hot honey that missed the mark on being "hot" and some kind of jam. These options just made everything even more soft....which should have been impossible. The salad was actually the best part of the meal - even though it was a bit spicy. I've always had good experiences here in the past, so this was a big letdown--especially for the price. I just wish the to-go version of the dish matched how it's described, or that expectations were set correctly when ordering. Unfortunately, this experience made me lose all trust in ordering from here again. I can't believe we waited until exactly 3pm (when they opened) to order this.... At the very least the pizza should have been hot.

You ever walk into a place and think, there's no way something special is hiding in here?…read more Yeah....That was me. An old tavern in Columbus. Dim. Historic. The kind of spot where you expect a solid beer and maybe some decent bar food. What you don't expect? One of the best Detroit-style pizzas of your life hiding behind a window in the back like some carb-based speakeasy. And when I say hidden, I mean hidden. No flashy signage. No "best pizza in town" ego. Just a quiet little window cranking out square pies that deserve a standing ovation. I ordered the classic red top -- already a bold move -- and added pesto because balance matters and I like to live a little. The result? Beyond reproach. Fresh, loaded toppings. Sauce with depth. And that crust... that beautiful Detroit crust. Crispy edges with that caramelized cheese halo, but still chewy and pillowy inside. The textural contrast is what separates amateurs from legends -- and this? This was legend-level execution. Easily top 3 Detroit-style pizzas I've had. And that's not a casual statement. If you don't understand the life-altering power of true Detroit-style pizza, I regret to inform you... you have not been living. Go find the window in the back. Trust me.
