It's pretty common these days, post-Covid, for restaurants to abandon dine-in efforts. Joseppi's being one, as what once was a breezy throwback to wooden chair diners of the mid 20th century is now just an echo of itself- seemingly abandoned to neglect. If you do dine-in, however, you will get a nice view of the world outside. The help is pretty standard customer service. Nothing offensive, memorable, or special about it. Finally, as for the food, I absolutely love their baked spaghetti with a side of garlic bread. I will definitely be coming back for that. I didn't care for the sausage sub I saved for lunch the next day, though. Maybe it doesn't hold up well cold, after sitting in a fridge for 12 hours. Not sure. Overall, I will be back. I posted this same complaint previously and I still come back. Order a 17 pizza and the pizza comes out small, 15 inch or less. I call and they tell me the pizza shrank and the manager tells me they done eat pizza because they are allergic. I love Joseppis pizza on Sullivant Ave. or in Grove City! We drive from the Morse Rd. Cleveland Ave. area to get our favorite pizza, the Topper! This pizza is made with the small and very flavorful pepperoni! It is covered, completely by the pepperoni and cheese. Brian is the owner of theses two pizza establishments, and is always friendly and helpful if you have any issues! They have really tasty subs and salads. The spaghetti is pretty tasty as well! I have had a few birthday parties at Joseppis and have never been disappointed! The staff is friendly and helpful even when they are getting slammed with orders. Yum! Yum! Yum!!! I have been working at a location on the west side for about 4 months now and have seen this place as I drive by. When asking my pizza friends I heard nothing but good news. I asked for both pizza's to be baked "well done" and they were absolutely perfect. The old fashioned pep was crispy on the edges but still had a little collection of oil in the cave. Cheese has a pretty good flavor to it. If I had to make one small complaint it would have to be that I, personally, didn't care for the amount of pepperoni on the topper. my sister who came to visit me who just got over her cancer treatments she is 72 from out of state wanted a calzone my favorite restaurant was closed so I thought I would give this place a try I ordered a calzone with pepperoni and mushrooms I got back home to discover it totally black on the bottom and the pepperoni was stuck in one little corner and found only one mushroom could only eat the insides. Now under new management with Brooke. Brian is now at Grove City Joseppi's. But, Brooke at Sullivant Ave. is very capable of producing the same quality pies. The lightly spicy "old world" pepperoni is salty, but so good. There are more pepperoni on these Toppers than pepperoni I've seen on many other pizzas. The pies are beautifully browned and cheese is evenly melted to allow each bite to be a tasty treat. The antipasto salads are made fresh and to-order with ample veggies and not overloaded with yellow hot peppers so that the taste is hidden. Brooke is very pleasant and makes sure your order is correct and ready for you at the designated time (for carry-out orders). The shop is kept clean behind the counter and in the dining area. However, I still don't know what "* * rim *", on the outside sign means. LOL read more

So , ordered from Joseppi's on Sullivant Ave this evening. I ordered a spaghetti and meatball dinner and several pizzas and salads. Quick delivery ,awesome delivery guy.. sat down ready to eat after working all day and hungry as can be.. open up my spaghetti dinner to a glob of over cooked sticky pasta with sauce thrown over it! When I put my fork in to get some it was just sticky and nasty. We called to get the order replaced only to have a girl who stated she was the manger ,tell me she would only give me a $3 credit and that they make the noodles ahead for the whole day ( gross) so they couldn't replace it because the noodles are all the same.. unfit to eat , and they should not be serving them! I said, she should throw them away as they are mush, she replied that's not her call and got a bit snippy! We asked to speak with the owner and she stated not possible! I asked to return it and she said I could only have a $3 credit on an $9 meal. I wanted to return the whole thing and she said well , you got bread and salad. I would gladly have brought it ALL back and gotten myself something somewhere else. She didn't offer another meal or an apology just a $3 credit! I loose out , hungry and all my money! Horrific service and they've lost a long time customer over something stupid. Ordered a steak sandwich and was sent something with hamburger Pattie's that looked and tasted completely unappetizing. They delivered the incorrect pizza in this order as well. I typically wouldn't have even called or asked for a replacement for the sub that we offered to return because no one was going to eat it but the pizza was wrong. So I called and asked for a replacement. The girl on the phone, Jocelyn was extremely rude and when I asked to speak with a manager over her unprofessional behavior she handed the phone over and said "have fun with this one." They said they'd have the pizza sent out when they could. It never arrived and after the phone call we realized not one of the other three subs we ordered was correct. We got someone else's order entirely. I don't understand the lack of customer service and a simple request to replace an item that was wholly unsatisfactory. Damn the pizza here is great! The cheese is melty, the pepperoni and sausage are greasy, the crust is just right. I've had the sandwiches, I recommend the Italian. Parking out front. This is in a not too bad section of sullivant. To get in you have to ring the doorbell at night. One star lost because the bathrooms need to be cleaned and some of the employees seemed kinda trashy. I hate to give such a poor rating for a personal mom and pop business, but I have to say it as it is, and I hope they improve their food based on my review. The steak sandwich was horrible, in the sense that they did not use real steak meat. They used some sort of processed meat that you can find in a freezer. I was expecting shaved steak meat, but got this instead. Highly disappointed, this was a first for me. The chicken tenders, again, same processed taste to them. In high school, I would go to the location in Lincoln Village (formerly located on S Murray Hill Rd) after home football games for post marching band nosh, and remembered the pizza as being fantastic. After moving to the Hilltop I wanted to relive the pizza magic, so we visited the Sullivant Ave location for dinner one night. It's a little hole in the wall joint, which is fine by me, but it wasn't clean. Gross. You order at a walk up counter, and then they bring you your pizza when it's ready. The guy behind the counter was friendly and helpful, so that was fine. Here's where the sadness happens... The pizza was SO GREASY that I used a pile of napkins to do that 'soak up the grease' method that really doesn't do anything but make a mess and give you the placebo effect of a healthier pizza. We had ordered pepperoni and pineapple, which is the best combo ever, but they put so cheese much on the 'za that I could barely choke it down. Unfortunately, contrary to popular belief, it IS possible to have too much cheese. Since I am not above eating pizza that's fallen on the floor, the fact that I didn't enjoy this pizza is probably a bad sign. I was so disappointed, as I remembered it so fondly. I have mixed feelings on Joseppi's, but it can be boiled down to the fact that each location's pizza will not taste exactly the same. Having eaten at the Joseppi's in Grove City, I wasn't really blown away and thought about disregarding this place all together, but after trying the Hilltop location, I can strongly say I am a fan. I even tried it twice to make sure it was fairly consistent. Joseppi's reminds me of Donato's, but not as commercialized. I think in reality, Donato's wishes they could make a pizza as good as here, but they have to fall short due to the masses. If you order their regular Pepperoni, then don't freak out when you see your pizza is missing the toppings... They're underneath! That's definitely different, and if it's too different for your sake, then they also offer a pizza with pepperoni on top. Toppings and sauce here were not of super high or expensive quality or anything, but they weren't all terrible in my opinion, either. The crust is of the thin midwestern variety, but not to a crispy/crunchy aspect. Just a typical Ohio pie. The subs here were A-OK, too. A lot of the complaints on here seem to be regarding items other than pizza, so I can't really vouch for that, but if 'Pizza' is in the title, then I sure as hell am not going to be ordering a chicken sandwich. Delivery here was SUPER speedy. They quoted me 45 minutes, and I had my pizza around 25. Is it my favorite pizza in Columbus? Probably not, but for a good Friday night delivery pizza nearby.. it beats the big chain pizzas hands-down. I'm a fan! read more

We typically order their subs and pizzas. We ordered 2 salads tonight .. a small and a large. With tip, it totaled $22. The small was literally smaller than a pop can and they didn't even prepare it correctly. They use canned mushrooms and charged an extra dollar for black and green olives (that they omitted). Normally, we rave about their food when compared to chain pizza shops around here. Not tonight. The manager, who was simply unapologetic about the situation, stated that they would only be able to credit a max of $6 back to our card. Which didn't even cover the cost of this pathetic excuse of a salad. They didn't use a single fresh ingredient. Everything was out of a bag or can and tasted like crap. Due to the lack of customer service for a loyal customer and overcharging for sub-par food, we won't be going back. I've been a customer many years. At one time I would have rated them a "5". Poor dough management has resulted in often finished pizza that misses that fine crust of the old days. So, get rid of that worthless conveyor oven bring back brick ovens and proof the dough properly! Heck just good dough management would result in a much better product!
