Outside, there are cool zip-line style swings, play areas for both younger and older kids, and plenty of shaded spots. Major bonus points for no woodchips -- huge win. The library also has fun music exploration activities, which was a pleasant surprise. Plus, there are easy food options nearby, so you don't have to overthink meals. Parking was easy for me, though I can see it getting tricky during busier times. We were a bunch of misfits, all gathered for a chance to play this wonderful team sport. When I joined, our fearless leader stated he didn't expect us to be good but he expected that we have fun. How do you say no to that! I learned how to play this game and the nuances of the rules compared to baseball. Above all else, I got to meet so many new people through our games and pick up games. Adventure Playground Irvine is one of the best places for kids to do what they do best...play and destroy things (build, then destroy the big lego blocks). There's a jungle gym, multiple long concrete slides, a water feature, sand play area, ping pong, and of course the large lego blocks that kids make into castles, forts, etc. The whole Adventure Playground is enclosed, so you don't have to worry too much about kids running out of the play area from multiple exits. There is plenty of parking in the lot and the nearby library as well as the street. The best part of the playground = free. You just need to sign in with how many are in your party when you first walk in. There's also another playground outside of the Adventure Playground at the nearby park (walk for like 100 feet).
