Good food and good service. staff are very very friendly !! I love their yummy pizza sauce

I really like this restaurant. Wednesday spaghetti is good besides other items.Just ate @ Angelo's yesterday. Good food reasonably priced. Good service with friendly waitresses. read more

I would give zero stars if possible. Got the order wrong multiple times and the driver was very rude with the third delivery. I would suggest eating at any pizza place but Angelo's when in Mattoon. Also the first pizza was very undercooked. Worst pizza experience I've ever had. Very sad. read more

Fantastic food and lovely owners .the lasagna is special, been eating there for over 20 years

Slow service. All of the pasta sauces tasted like water and were mostly water. Burned all the wings we ordered. Would not recommend. read more

I have never had a stuffed pizza before until I saw the picture of it on the online menu, and I knew right then and there that I needed to try it. It was Soooooo yummy!!! We got the supreme just in case you wanted to know We also ordered a small pizza for our daughter, and she also thought it was pretty good too. Also, the breadsticks are really good. Just make sure to order more because they are small. I will say this they are one of the best places I have eaten pizza at in a long time read more

It's not a lavish place but the food is pretty good Italian, You must try it sure to not be disappointed.

Angelo's has been her my whole life and I eat here every time I come back to Mattoon. Great food and friendly environment.

This place has your pretty standard Italian food. It's mostly a pizza place that also specializes in pasta. They have a good pizza skillet which is what it sounds like. But I would recommend if you want pizza to just go ahead and get the pizza instead. Honestly my biggest surprise of this place was the chicken boat. It's basically a skillet made with breaded chicken cooked in BBQ sauce with bacon and cheese. It's really good. Get that if you want an appetizer. Staff was friendly and quick to serve us. Thank you for the great visit. read more

I don't know what it is about Angelo's Pizza, but I dig their food. I call it "Midwestern Italian," because their pizza isn't what first comes to mind when you think "great pizza," and their other Italian dishes are fairly basic. I mean, this ain't even the Olive Garden, knowwhatImsayin? But what it lacks in gourmet standards, it hits out of the park in rich flavor--the sauce is oh-so sweet, and everything is thick with mozzarella cheese. I must have a weakness for the combination, because I can't stop craving it. The atmosphere is non-existant--it's just a dining room split by what used to be a railing to designate the "smoking section" (Yay for the smoking ban!!)--but who cares, the food is too good to care. read more

There was mold in my sweet tea , and I would never drink a drink here again. And the server said that was disgusting

This is the worst pizza per price that I've ever had in my life. When the delivery came it literally felt like she handed me an empty box for $23. The lady on the phone literally handed the phone off to another lady because she said that I was talking to fast for her. I will never order pizza from here again and I would recommend that nobody go here at all. Boycott this place so they go out of business Please and Thank You‼ read more

We absolutely love this place! We come here often because the service is perfect, the food is always hot and fresh and the owners? Well...they are just amazing people! It's a great place for some serious comfort food. Italian comfort food. The stuffed pizzas rival that of Giordanos in Chicago. I actually like them better than Giordanos! Nothing you order here will be a disappointment. Everything is stellar. From the garlic bread to the veggie lasagna. If you are in the area and you want a great place to eat with a great atmosphere and great service, go here. read more

I haven't been to Angelo's in decades, I live out of state. I went in last night with my family and had a very delicious meal. The service was fantastic too. We had stuffed pizza, supreme pizza, spaghetti and pasta bake. Everything was delicious! read more

I've had their deep dish Chicago style pizza several times and it's always good. The thin crust is good too. I always get Chicken Parmasean sandwich, it's great! A little pricey, but it's worth it to support a nice local place. The staff and owners are always nice and friendly. Never had a problem when we had it delivered either. I wish they had better appetizers and sides, very lacking in that department. read more

Took too long for our waitress to get us more drinks while we waited (had to ask her for more. About a 10 min gap when we got her attention) over all we waited about an hour to get our food as well. Our child ended up getting a cold roast beef sandwich and my chicken fettuccine tasted like it was a frozen dinner. We will not be back!! read more

Yummy!!! Just got a stuffed crust and it was perfect! Crusty on the outside, very cheesy on the inside. A couple of miles off Hwy 57, but well worth it!! Putting this on my list of excellent places to stop on my next trip to Wisconsin/Chicago! read more

It was just ok. Nothing spectacular about the food and the temperature of the food was not hot when brought to the table. We waited about an hour for our food (party of 6) and we only ordered pasta and sandwiches. This was on a Saturday night but they were not overly crowded. There were at least 2 empty tables the whole time we were there and this is not a big place. Friendly service, but slow, food not hot. read more

Had a craving for good pizza so I tried here out of the blue. I had a small meatlovers pizza pie and it was well worth it. All pizzas are made to order and fresh. The sauce was just right...not to hot or spicy. Everyone was friendly and courteous as I waited for my order even though they were cleaning up in preparation to close. read more

Great place to eat, great value and delicious food. Friendly service and big portions!

Probably my favorite hometown restaurant. Everything about Angelo's is amazing. From the pasta dishes to the sandwiches that they serve. You can truly feel the homey goodness of every dish. If you are ever in the mood to eat some amazing pasta and support a local business I strongly recommend. read more

Very cheap and family friendly. A good italian american restaurant that is a little better than most. in no way a gourmet hotspot, you get exactly what you expect, which when you want that is a great thing. I got cheese ravioli in red sauce, which they said was homemade. I could believe that ot be true, but also could be convinced other wise. it hit the spot and that was really all we asked for, so there... read more

Stopped here on way to ATL. The service was great and the staff friendly. Had salad and Thin crust pineapple and Canadian bacon pizza. Pizza was great! Hot and tasty. Salad your basic shredded affair with a piece of tomato or two. Cost a mere 20$ with drinks. Super reasonable and obviously a local destination. Give it a try. You will be very satisfied. read more

They are an awesome place to eat. They offer regular specials and are a very family oriented business. They have diverse menu besides pizza. They have very good spaghetti and lasagna. Very friendly staff. read more

Awesome stuffed pizza. We love it, better than Papa Murphy's! Also their daily specials are a great deal for either lunch or dinner, they come with salad and garlic bread. We've been to Italian restaurants in New York and Chicago, and this could probably be best described as the Italian food your Mom makes (non-Italian mothers). Good food but not as authentic as it gets. read more

The sauce on pasta is delicious, service was poor. They did have a large group that was seated and had been waited on before we arrived. We ordered our meal along with dessert pizza, which they said they would bring out towards the end of our meal. 2 others tables seated after us, were served meals before ours. When we finished eating they gave us the ticket with no mention of dessert. 10 minutes later reminded waitress and asked to have it to go. Waitress returned a minute later and said it was being boxed up. Paid the bill and waited another 10 minutes at least until it was ready. Seemed very disorganized. Will not visit again. This was 8pm at night, not even during rush hour. read more

WOW! This pizza is very cheesy and chewy!! The service here was very quick and good was right on time!!

Went here because we were in the area for a tournament. Decent food. The pasta was bland but the bread was good. Pizza was also pretty good.

This place has the best lasagna in the area. I ordered it for delivery this evening. Thursday is lasagna special. Delivery was quick and courteous and the meal very reasonably priced. I definitely recommend Angelo's! read more

I was just traveling through from Oklahoma to Michigan, hotel front desk recommended. I was not disappointed. I had the lasagna. Really good, and huge portion of food. Salad was a meh, it usually just has lettuce and tomatoes. I said no tomatoes so just a bowl of lettuce. I didn't know though. Definitely worth a try. read more

Great Lasagna. Small Italian restaurant with good service. Haven't tried their pizza yet but heard it was excellent Chicago style. Reasonably priced and will visit again. read more

Excellent pizza! Very consistent, great spices and wonderful thin crisp crust. Getting pricey is the only downside.

This is a perfectly ok restaurant. They have have ok spaghetti and ok ravioli, but their garlic bread is out of this world. They also have great pizza and great meatball subs. I wish I could give this three and a half, but still, there food is just over the ok mark. read more
