Food was ok, I got served the wrong thing but ate it anyways, clean, and inviting, staff was great, and friendly.

This little Mexican spot is our go to when visiting family in Illinois . We frequent this spot more than I should admit. The food is always delish, the staff is helpful and the food comes quick. There's something for everyone. They even offer some American items for picky eaters. I love that you can also eat here with a severe gluten allergy and know you're safe. This place was surprisingly good. I lived a 45 minute drive from the border of Mexico for 6 years, and in Chicago for many years (including now), so I've had Mexican food at quite a few places. I was surprised to find that this place is actually very good. The salsa is delicious, as is the cheese sauce. They have some flavor in the salsa that's seemingly unique to them, and it's delicious. The flavor in the Chicken on the Beach (Pollo a la Playa at most places) was very good, though a little bit overwhelming by the end. If they tone it down slightly, it'll be pretty well perfect. The service was prompt and friendly as well. This place is on the right track. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. read more

I ordered a pick-up lunch of camaron yucatan. It was delicious! The shrimp were cooked to perfection and the veggies were tender crisp. The portion was very generous, and I had enough left over for a light supper that evening. I will definitely be going back. read more

Food and service were good, but the taste just like many other Mexican restaurants in the area. Nothing made it stand out. I was hoping they would have unique tacos or something different that would make we want to come back again and again, but there wasn't anything. First time ordering out. Very convenient to order on line and pick up food at the window. Place looks spotless. However, food was very plain.. I had a seafood burrito.rice was ok. Beans tasted right out of can. I asked for salsa. Someone opened up a can of tomatoes and put a few basil in it. The worst salsa ever. Chips where great. Price ok. read more

As far as Mexican food goes, it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't that great either. Most of the food wasn't very flavorful, or was over cooked. For only having like 10 tables the restaurant was way over staffed. Upon being seated we were asked if we were ready to order at least 3 times in the span of 2 minutes. My fiancé and I came here because it was rated 4.5 stars but it really wasn't that great, we left rather disappointed with our experience. read more

Service has been extremely slow last couple times we have been here. Will not be going back anytime soon. There were hardly any customers but still had to wait a very long time to order second drink & more chips. Waited 35 minutes last time after giving my credit card to receive bill to sign. Finally went in to sign it. Had to go in today after waiting 25 minutes on bill. First time I did not leave a tip. Also waiters are not covering noses with mask. One did not have a mask. read more
