Sunday Lunch Menu

Consistently good food. They have quite a few good daily specials. Good service. Nice atmosphere.

Smoked Beef Brisket Sandwich

I like to rate places based on the type of restaurant and what one should expect. This is a pub with pub food. That being said.. the service was quick and friendly, and prices were fair. I had the fire bird sandwich which was good. The tater tots were basic and fine. My fiancé got the brisket sandwich which he enjoyed, I tried a bite of the meat and it was flavorful. The tater tots and fries were both your basic frozen items, but served hot and fresh. The buns for the sandwiches were very thin/weak and honestly the sandwiches deserved better buns! If you bother to smoke your own brisket, please upgrade the bun :)

I ordered potato skins from them thru door dash and they came burnt. I called and was told unless I brought them to them there was nothing they could do. I am a handicap female that can not drive. I will never ordered from them again. This place is not out to help anyone.

Say yes to the rice and the sweet potato fries!

I dined here on a whim while working in town. As a lady on her own, it did not feel strange to be here dining alone. Couples, families with young children and singles were about. The service was attentive and the food was very good and the prices were terrific. I would not mind returning again before I leave town, since their menu is quite inspired and extensive for their size. Good job! Stay open- I will be back next year!

Luckily found this spot that is not on the strip and not on the square. The owners and servers were very friendly and told us about their food and pies. Homemade pies! We opted for the brisket horseshoe and my girl loved it! I had the potato skins and put those away in short order. Anyway we had a very good lunch with the promise to come back and try dinner and drinks. On our next visit the owners and servers remembered us and we had several adult beverages along with dinner. Saturday night they have smoked prime rib. I went that route and was not disappointed. Great cut of smokey delicious prime with baked potato. My girl once again had the brisket horseshoe. A pile of smoked brisket covered in cheese on top of a pile of Texas toast and fries. We had to take pie to go and enjoyed it when we got home. We have been back many times and have never had a bad meal here. I always look forward to stopping in.

Carolina Burger -- Burger with pulled pork and BBQ sauce. I opted to remove the coleslaw

Sometimes the food is great and other times not. The service suffers the same. Ambiance leaves something to be desired.

Scanning the food places we picked this because it seemed to have decent ratings and a lot of reviews. Plus, you get go wrong with good ol' American cuisine. The first kind of hiccup is that they must have recently moved building. Though they moved right next to their existing building, there was no signage and we had to rely on our own eyeballs. Which almost led us into the wrong building. Not a bid deal, realistically, but it threw us for a loop. Getting inside, it was super clean. Long bar, plenty of tables, modern, many tvs for many sports. Plus, the building itself seemed rather large. A chonker of a building, if you ask me. Our hostess brought us into what seemed like the back 40 of the building and seated us next to a garage door that overlooked a cement pad that will one day be a cement pad with things on it. Not even mad. Saw a train. Here's the money shot. Have you ever been happy adjacent? Have you ever been right up to the edge, the precipice, the peak, then turn around and leave? That was kind of the ideal feeling here. The ambiance and service and general-ness of the entire place was spot on. The food itself looked top-tier. But it felt a click away from perfection. Let's look into it. As a hefty man (fat, not the garbage bag brand), I'm a man of appetizers. Also of wings. Therefore, sign me up for 12 bone in wings for an app. Split into three flavors: Carolina BBQ, Buffalo, and regular BBQ. They came out looking and smelling delicious. The sauce flavors hit hard. But I was a little let down with the dryness of the wings. I know sometimes it can be difficult to knock a wing out of the park because those damn things just want to get crispy. But I don't want to fight chewing the meat off the bone. It felt like a battle me and my mush mouth would lose. Now, from what I understood, all sides were a la cart. Color me fine with that, fatty will order anyways. Especially since I saw they offered street corn AND hushpuppies. So naturally, that's what I ordered. The hushpuppies came out and were the round kind. Which I am no stranger to. They had good flavor, good done-ness, but missed the mark on the size. If they were hush people, they would have been premies. A little sad they didn't get to experience their full potential. Now, for this part I will say I was forewarned. My server did mention the street corn came in a bowl and was served cold. I thought I was better than somebody who judged street corn by its temperature. I was wrong. It did come cold. And because of that, it was not tasty. Missed the mark completely. I did get a bonus side, your typical, run of the mill French fry. They came out and looked great. Meadiu

No complaints at all. They also have a kitchen. I didn't eat while I was here, but they were advertising a stuffed pork chop with a side and a roll that seemed very reasonable. Drag show started on time.. which is really strange (and very much appreciated). There were 4 entertainers who came out and did a couple of numbers each for their first set and did a great job interacting with the audience. The second set began at midnight and I was fast asleep back at my hotel, so I didn't see it. A fun evening with strong drinks and a show.. what more could you ask for?!

No "for a small town" qualifier necessary-- their drag shows are dazzling & fabulous, full stop. Smoke machines, bright colorful lights, a proper stage, and plenty of comfortable seats-- not to mention excellent drag talent even on an "open stage" mostly-amateur night. We saw 6 different drag performers on Friday, including a very funny drag king, who really kept the momentum going with fun cat-calls sitting out in the audience. The whole show was exciting, well-run & memorable. The passion & unbridled joy of these talented, gorgeous performers was absolutely contagious. I am no night-owl, but it was midnight in a heartbeat & I wanted to stay for the 2nd set. Nothing like a good drag show to make you feel alive. I wish I'd come sooner, I fell hard for this place. Can't wait to return for a Saturday showcase when next I visit Terre Haute!
