The good. The food. Quite tasty burgers. Different ones with different toppings, ranging from the Breakfast Burger (egg and bacon on burger) to the Carolina Burger (pulled pork and Cole slaw on top). Pub n Grub is the name, and it is not false advertising. Soups and sandwiches are the stock in trade. I was going to mention how that's what they sell, and it was a narrow menu when wifey said, "No, they had lots of things - including a decent array of appetizers, one full page of sandwiches and another full page of burgers, soups (4 of them actually) and salads as well as a full page of full dinners including steaks that looks pretty good on the menu." It was then I realized that I must have really wanted a burger because I fixated on that page and never made it past the second page! I had the Carolina Burger with green beans and Wifey had the Brisket sandwich and fries. The Burger was quite delicious, but with the sauce and slaw, the bottom bun gets a bit soggy (not a complaint just a warning). The green beans tasted just like grams beans out of the garden with little bacon pieces. Service was a bit slow, but there was one gal who was pretty busy. They seem to serve a crowd of regulars that they know well, which is usually a good sign of some good grub! We got what we needed, except I was drinking faster than she could get back to me. Again, not a complaint, I just must have been thirsty to go along with that burger. Wifey's brisket was pretty tasty for this not being a smokehouse. They had crinkle fries that she enjoyed with it. Her Sammy was plenty full and also messy but in the best way. Also, she drinks unsweetened tea most places and she had high praise about the freshness of the tea here and she was happy with how tasty it was. All good - two thumbs up from her! We had pretty much driven on by but we are happy we decided to swing back and partake. I like to rate places based on the type of restaurant and what one should expect. This is a pub with pub food. That being said.. the service was quick and friendly, and prices were fair. I had the fire bird sandwich which was good. The tater tots were basic and fine. My fiancé got the brisket sandwich which he enjoyed, I tried a bite of the meat and it was flavorful. The tater tots and fries were both your basic frozen items, but served hot and fresh. The buns for the sandwiches were very thin/weak and honestly the sandwiches deserved better buns! If you bother to smoke your own brisket, please upgrade the bun :) read more

Sometimes the food is great and other times not. The service suffers the same. Ambiance leaves something to be desired.

We ate supper last night there. Usually not a bad place. We could see the kitchen for our table. Our server was vaping over the glasses and in the kitchen area. Then she come out to serve food (no gloves and I'm sure she didn't wash her hands) They don't allow vaping in the dining area but allow workers to vape in the kitchen where food and drinks are being prepared??? I ordered potato skins from them thru door dash and they came burnt. I called and was told unless I brought them to them there was nothing they could do. I am a handicap female that can not drive. I will never ordered from them again. This place is not out to help anyone. read more

I dined here on a whim while working in town. As a lady on her own, it did not feel strange to be here dining alone. Couples, families with young children and singles were about. The service was attentive and the food was very good and the prices were terrific. I would not mind returning again before I leave town, since their menu is quite inspired and extensive for their size. Good job! Stay open- I will be back next year! read more

Luckily found this spot that is not on the strip and not on the square. The owners and servers were very friendly and told us about their food and pies. Homemade pies! We opted for the brisket horseshoe and my girl loved it! I had the potato skins and put those away in short order. Anyway we had a very good lunch with the promise to come back and try dinner and drinks. On our next visit the owners and servers remembered us and we had several adult beverages along with dinner. Saturday night they have smoked prime rib. I went that route and was not disappointed. Great cut of smokey delicious prime with baked potato. My girl once again had the brisket horseshoe. A pile of smoked brisket covered in cheese on top of a pile of Texas toast and fries. We had to take pie to go and enjoyed it when we got home. We have been back many times and have never had a bad meal here. I always look forward to stopping in. read more

I'm struggling to give it a 1. I took my mom out for breakfast. I used to love this place. The food was AWFUL. I had the breakfast special. The hash browns were raw, scrambled eggs rubbery, and biscuits and gravy lumpy. we sat for 15 minutes after the waitress asked us what we wanted to drink Before we got coffee. I could see if they were busy. We were 3 of the 6 people in restaurant. We considered walking out. After getting our food, wish we would have. It's sad to see this local restaurant go downhill as much as it has. read more

Great atmosphere, waitress was excellent, food was mouth watering. We had the Pepperjack Mac & cheese bites and they are soooooooo delicious!!! Just the right amount of heat!!! For our main we both had burgers - jalapeno crunch burger - pepper jack cheese, onion straws, jalapenos and spicy mayo (I was windy and had them put the jalapenos on the side) and Carolina Burger - pulled pork and slaw on top of the burger! This was my first time at WB's and I'm not super familiar with the local burger scene, but overall I think it was pretty good. I ordered the Carolina Burger (regular burger with pulled pork and BBQ sauce). This was the first time I had tried a burger with pulled pork and overall it was very good. I think I would've liked a little more BBQ sauce but everything else about the burger was quite good. The fries though were pretty disappointing. They look like they have some seasoning but they're actually pretty flavorless, but I do like that they give you a pretty generous portion of fries read more

A few months ago we went into WB's and my wife overheard two young servers talking about how they didn't want to serve us and that they didn't like us. Overall, just very rude so we left before ordering. We didn't return for months. We ended returning to be served by our regular Wednesday server and explained the experience we previously had. She corrected the issue for us. We returned today and my wife AGAIN overheard the SAME server telling a different server to take us cuz she can't stand us and that she'll give the other server the next table as well if she takes us. We left again before ordering. We called to speak to the owner and he was rude and laughed at us. Also ended the conversation by saying "are you calling because you need a job" which is not only incredibly rude but completely out of context for the issue at hand. It's a shame because the food is great and there's ONE amazing server but we will not be returning, which is unfortunate because we are regulars. read more

Considering it was a late night bar menu, the food was very good (we ordered the pepperoni pizza and deep fried mushrooms). And there was a special on Miller Lite ($2 bottles). This is a great place to go for not only a drink at the bar, but also a delicious meal. My favorite item(s) to order is the Ribeye Sandwich and Sweet Potato Fries. The Ribeye Sandwich is the best I've ever had anywhere, and I have tried many different ribeye sandwiches through the years. Also the burgers a great as well. I went to the "new" W B 's for dinner. First, the new layout is different and I like it. The menu is a combination of both WB's and the old What's Cookin'. I have to admit that I had stopped going to What's Cookin' a few years ago because the quality of cooking had gone downhill. But I knew I would be in for a treat with Duane and his crew. I was not disaapointed! Good food, cooked well, presented nicely, tastes awesome. The Ultilmate Porker- porkburger, pork tenderloin, pulled pork, bacon and WB's awesome slaw!!! Yummy! I will definitely be going back. Just a note: they are still transitioning, and it was just a little slow getting my food.I expect that anytime something is "new" or changed. I was very pleased with our visit to WB's since moving to their 7th Street location. We stopped in for a late breakfast and enjoyed it immensely. Our waitress, Amy, was excellent and our food was prepared and served as ordered. I enjoyed their country breakfast special with regular coffee as my drink. The eggs over medium were delicious, the hash browns were freshly cooked, not warmed up like you find occasionally in this business, and the biscuit and sausage gravy was done to perfection. The biscuit was soft and tasty and the gravy consistency was just the way I like it. We will definitely be back for breakfast and to try other items on their menu as well. read more
