They stick to the basics and do them well. The burgers alone make a visit worthwhile. DRINKS: Limited draft beer selection but they have had one or two unique brews on tap (Moose Drool on tap last time I visited-haven't seen that on tap anywhere in a long time!). Anything in a bottle or can will be domestic and in the Bud/Miller families. Full service bar and they poor em stiff! Well, he might as he's driving and I will for sure be taking a nap like the passenger princess I am. We've always passed through Effingham on our travels but have never visited until now. We will definitely be back. The breakfast was delicious, the restaurant is gorgeous, and the attentiveness of Brittany was top notch! Amazing wall of bourbons! My husband went nuts! A whole other room of wines too. Had to stay out of there! You can order Mexican food. I got two tacos which were fantastic and an order of nachos and it cost me only $11! The atmosphere and ambiance is so inviting. The employees were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. This place is amazing! I wish I lived closer!

Was originally trying to navigate my way out of the Petro Truck Stop Parking Lot, having my rig parked over there, I was about to walk half a mile out to the other side of the freeway for that Advertised Chinese Buffet...but I couldn't find a walkway, and ran into this Chaser's building by accident. Accidents can be good. I sat down, looked through the menu, and picked up the ribeye steak, some fries, and lemon pepper wings. And I gotta say, it was a solid supper. Steak was cooked right, wings not overwhelmingly seasoned, and food was on par with if say you going to an Outbacks. I don't think I would've ever given this place a chance if I just looked up Yelp, it's 3.5 stars rating, because I most likely would have just glossed over the potential experience. And now that I've experienced this place....I may as well plan my trips next time so I camp in my rig overnight at the Petro in Effingham....that way I can get a few games of pool have a couple of IPAs, get a good dinner and really let loose for the night. I liked everything else on it but the lettuce had turned. There was some I was able to eat. I would suggest at least one main dinner portion salad. Could be basic and be customizable. The loaded potato was delicious! ate every bite but the skin. I wanted too but too much butter needed. My heart was thankful. Good cheese pull. 10/10 Overall, we will come back because it was a nice dinner. Felt like home bars should.

A must try effingham staple…read more Eat on the salad bar or diner side and enjoy a hometown style meal or the spring rolls! Every time we visit this town we try to get in a meal or at least take home one of their handmade pies or cookies. They rotate staff a lot but the food is always the same so it's a good bet you will have a good meal. Don't forget they do a great job catering!
