I've been here many times. Many in my family love the pizza here. I've never understood why. To me it is overly greasy (always), and the toppings are decent, but not worth the cost. At $30/pizza, I find it quite lacking in value compared to most any other pizza place. read more

This is a pizza joint, nothing more and is not trying to be anything else. Clearly catering to the EIU students with the late hours and the owners flexibility to deliver late. I bought a pizza for my family and we loved it. It didn't have the same feel or taste of all the local chains and I appreciated that. The guys at work really like them too and they have 10 pizzas headed their way for a 3am delivery tomorrow night. Hard to find a place willing to help out a team on 3rd shift. Anyhow - well worth the stop in. I am going to be upgrading from here on out from the $5 pizza pizza. read more

Ordered the pizza at 9:00 we were told the wait would be around 30-40 minutes... we waited almost TWO HOURS and called three times to be told "they didn't right down a phone number for the order". they also tried to say "nobody answered the phone" when we gave the right phone number because they read back the number before we ended the phone call. read more

This place is an EIU staple. It is perfect for late night drunken munchies. I've never had their pizza, no need, the cheese sticks are what they're all about. I get mine with Bleu Chz, Nacho Chz and Garlic butter - the best combo. (They come with a large selection of individual dipping sauces to choose from) Sometimes I don't even feel like drinking, but I get drunk just so I can satisfy my Chubby's craving. I wouldn't necessarily recommend eating it sober, but I wouldn't know. I think that would be like ordering a pb&j from an expensive steakhouse; highly inappropriate! read more

Chubby's... oh Chubby's how I miss you. This place has the best greasy food for the crazy college kids. I absolutely loved going here during my stay at EIU. The price is just right... aka CHEAP and you get a ton of food. Get the chubby stix which is bread with cheese on top and you get all kinds of dipping sauces... nacho cheese, ranch, garlic, bbq. read more

The absolute best drunk food I have ever had. XL Chubbys stix + a ton of dipping sauces insured you'd feel great at the time but regret it in the morning. I miss it so god damn much. 4 stars for the cheese stix and memories, -1 Star for how awful it makes you feel the next day. read more

My girlfriend was really close with a friend and her boyfriend was with us. We asked for pepperoni and the pepperoni was under the crust but her boyfriend was really dumb so he didn't believe it. He called the place and was pissed off because he couldn't see the pepperoni( because it was under the cheese) like an asshole. He called back thinking that they forgot the pepperoni. And the delivery driver told him that if the pepperoni wasn't under the cheese he would kick his ass. I deadass watched the delivery driver kick this dudes ass outside. Absolutely perfect service. Need to hire more guys like this. Have eaten chubbys drunk as hell ever since and have had no problems because it's a great place. Love you chubbys! read more

Chubby's is the best greasy food a college kid could ever want. It's great drunk food and everyone loves it. The only reason why It's getting three stars is because in the winter I ordered Chubby's around midnight. When it hadn't come yet we called around 2am when it hadn't showed up and they called the driver who swore he was 10 minutes away. By 3 something it hadn't come and when I called, the building had closed. Eventually we left the friend's apartment to go home. My friend told me that around 4:30am, the delivery boy showed up with our Chubby's Stix. read more

As everyone is saying on here, this is an EIU establishment. I have rarely seen anyone who eats the pizza, as everyone beams right toward the cheese sticks. These things are amazing. I usually have them with the garlic butter and nacho cheese. I really have nothing to add here and am just confirming what others have said. A must-try in Charleston. read more

I would give my left leg for a Chubby's catering company. Stick with the Chubby's Sticks that come w/ ranch, bbq, nacho cheese, and garlic sauces for dipping. They are open until 4am but call by 1am if you want to eat before 3am, not kidding, and you may need speed dial because they're always busy. Best idea is to call or walk-in on the way home from the bar because it's a small storefront. SO worth it. read more

Pizza was great and the service was even better! It does not have a seating area inside. Didn't have to wait very long for the food.

Depending on the time of day and my mental state, "Yay! I'm a fan." I love the name of the restaurant and the food that they offer after I've juiced up on cheap draft beer and liquor from the local bars. I recommend the XL Chubby sticks paired with a group of your closest drunk friends/acquaintances after 2am. Enjoy the 'outside seating' (the sidewalk) and 'live entertainment' (the adventurous drunks trekking across 4th and Lincoln to Taco Bell and beyond). read more

One of the most affordable pizzas in town. When we call ahead, it is always ready to run in and carry out. The staff are friendly. The XL pizza is the way to go. It's great cold too!! read more
