    This company said I needed to replace my ductwork and after the old ductwork was pulled out they…read moresaid I didn't need to replace it, someone who didn't realize that they were shooting themselves in the foot by saying such a thing. But of course now that the duct work was pulled out there wasn't much I could do. They did the work in the winter when The real test of how it worked wouldn't be seen until the summer. I was told that I did not need a permit to have it done when in fact I did. They didn't want to do it because it required an extra trip to the city and also a mechanical drawing regarding how it was set up. I insisted on it but if you don't have a permit the customer can be fined for it and before us to pull all of it out and have put in again. There are things they promised to do that they did not do. They've been to my house when it was first installed nine times to fix what they messed up that was very obvious. I told them many times to please be sure to redistribute the insulation in my attic so that it did not block the vents that pull the air through the attic and out. Summer has come and with my air conditioning running the humidity in my house is 65%. And each room there are vast differences in the temperature. Every time they come they say that the problem's been corrected and it has not. I've been diagnosed with heart failure and trying to breathe humid air is the worst thing for me. They have found every excuse not to fix the problems I spent all this money to be exactly where I was before I replaced the ductwork that I didn't even need. If you've had ductwork installed or any work by this company I would truly advise you to reach out to the city or county you're in to make sure that everything is fine If not please report it to them immediately so they can investigate you do not want to be in a situation where it's going to cost you thousands more to bring everything up to code. They came not too long ago because I kept telling them it was so humid in the house I couldn't stand it. If I put a bowl of water out from my dog the very next day it's going to greenish shade to it. The guy comes and he says he's really not sure how to increase the blower speed on the air handler he talks to someone comes back fiddles around a little bit and says it's been fixed and it should level off in a few hours. About 5 hours later I'm thinking wow it's really kind of chilly now and I look at the thermostat and he has the temperature down to low 70s and put the fan on non-stop rather than automatic. That is crazy I could have done that. It didn't correct the problem he just simply came in did this and then ran off with his tail between his legs. This company has disappointed me so much. They do try to get you to do everything in the winter so when you sign off that everything is fine because it does appear to be fine then they try to find an excuse not to help you. I would strong advise you to not deal with this company I know that they do electric and everything else but if theytreat customers as they do for duct work I wouldn't want them to do electric on my house or anything else. I'm going to have to proceed legally and also because of my health issues I was told that I can pursue criminal negligence. I will speak to an attorney that I was referred to and try to get this resolve that way. It's such a shame that it comes to this. So all I can say is please if you've had any work done by this company check with your city or county and make sure they did the permits and please try to avoid them at all costs.

    Leaper was recommended by a family member when we purchased the house less than a year ago. We…read moreneeded a new thermostat as the old one was falling apart. They came out and installed a new thermostat and we entered into a maintenance contract. We recently realized the thermostat wasn't working properly and called them and scheduled an appointment for 3 weeks out to check the thermostat and doing the annual maintenance. They sent a tech a week later without contacting us. I was at work. Took time off work to be here for scheduled appointment. Annual maint was done. Tech could not figure out issue with fan on the thermostat and made several calls to the owner. We were told they would research the problem online and get back to us. Next day we notice that the air was not working at all. We called Leaper and were told they would send a tech out the next day. Tech arrived and found a blown fuse in the evaporator air handler. He replaced it and still nothing. He said they would order a new electronic fan control board and let us know when it would be in. This was on a Thursday. Leaper called on today, Tuesday and said the board was in and it would be $816 (that was discounted) plus labor. Doesn't sound right does it. Contacted the owner who basically said take it or leave it. Called Air FX. Came out this afternoon and replaced the thermostat (different type). Everything now works properly. Thermostat $116, service call $89. We are switching our service contract to Air FX. Oh, and Mr. Leaper didn't have anything to say when we told him he lost a customer.
