Upon arrival, the discussion immediately went to signing upyearly service plan, and potential cost impact if something was wrong. I felt like they had their hand out and it would require several hundred dollars a year for M&S service. Unit was dripping water Thursday. Called early morning Friday and they were here within a few hours.

    In January I was approached by M&S HVAC and plumbing and offer me a service contract. Which sounded…read morelike a good deal at $10 per month and included two inspections and cleaning per year. Yesterday they came and after a while I was informed my AC capacitor was "out of range" and need to be replaced or it would fail soon. The estimate was $1100. Which was reduced to $750 (which sounded like a good deal). That's until later in the day I check pricing on the internet. Capacitor $60, leak sealant $60, and 4 lbs of freon $100. Labor took less than 30 minutes. So apparently there labor rate is about $1000 per hour. The 1st person I spoke to offered me a $350 credit towards my "membership" (which I declined). His boss call back later and offered nothing and tried to defend the ridiculous charges. I did check with three other quality contractors to compare pricing and the highest was $531. The others were less. Unfortunately the work was done and the bill was paid.

    Excellent service! They sent information on and a photo of Brian, who they were sending out for…read moreservice call. Brian has been with the company for 8 years. He arrived on time, was very clean and respectful, put covers on his shoes every time he came into my home. He opened the entire air handler unit, inspected and cleaned out a bunch of debris, stated my aluminum coils did not look bad, checked the amperage, went under my house and deck to find and clean out drainage line, put tablets in to help prevent slime build up, checked heat pump capacitor and Freon, vacuumed out all the leaves and dirt (there was a lot), changed the foam insulation I supplied for the lines to the house, explained to me how my thermostat operates, answered all my questions, took pictures and sent me a full report. He was there about 2 hours and did a fantastic job for $139! [Complete opposite of Marc Anthony who only opened the top of air handler, told me my system was a mess, said there was mold in the handler, said the insulation on the pipes outside was just for looks (which I know is not true) said the aluminum coils were not good, should get copper, and said he couldn't do anything for me and wouldn't even bother to service it or put another dollar into it, just wait until it dies in a couple years and get a Bosch. Then charged me $99. I was quite upset when he and his helper (who stood on my wool area rug with his shoes on) left. So, I called them back after Munns came and gave them the opportunity to explain why he "couldn't do anything" for me but the response was it was just a service call not a maintenance call.]

Our A/C stopped working late yesterday so I called Munn's 24 service number. I left a message and their recording said I would hear from them within an hour. I never got a call. I did the same thing this morning at 8:30. still no call. I called another A/C company and left a message. They called me back 20 minutes later and schedused service for me today. Later in the morning I got a text message from a person at Munn's telling me that she'shad tried three times to call and even tried my wife's number and also left us voicemail messagE's. We never received any calls or voicemail. The other A/C called me back with no problem. The person at Munn's later admitted that they were having phone problems. I would be very careful in dealing with this business as appears that they are not as well run as they used to be.
