I regretfully have to update my previous review. I need to be able to trust a company that I'm…read moredoing business with. I asked Patrick's to give me an estimate on installing six smoke detectors because the ones I had purchased were not compatible with what I had previously installed. I assumed that this was a small basic job. They quoted me at $300. When the electrician was here, I questioned the quote three times and all he could say was he didn't make the prices. I politely declined the service and did a little research on my own. It turned out that all I needed was an adapter that easily plugs into the old wiring input; a 12 pack of adaptors is $22 at Lowes. A difference between paying $22 and $300 is extreme. The man at Lowe's isn't even an electrician and he gave me this answer off the top of his head immediately. The electrician from Patrick should've known this information off the cuff. He should've been able to point this out to me but he didnt. Even after asking him about it three times all he did was shrug his shoulders and offer me a quote of $300. This made me question everything about this company. How can I trust a company if they're not willing to give me basic knowledge to avoid a hefty charge for something that it was completely unnecessary? I don't know if this electrician just didn't have that answer (which is unexplainable to me), or if he did have the answer and he failed to give it to me, hoping that I would pay $300 for it. Either way, because of this I won't be renewing with Patrick's service plans or doing business with them any further. This really disappointed me because I thought I had found a reliable and trustworthy company to do business with on a yearly basis including other small tasks like installing my new faucets, smoke detectors, and other things they offer. I'm glad I discovered this prior to paying them for anything. I'm also curious how many other customers out there are getting charged outrageous prices for unnecessary things. Being a successful company goes way beyond sales and numbers. It's about building trust with your customers and having your brand reflect reliability. That means having basic knowledge to offer your customers that will actually save the money instead of cost them. I can't explain this $300 quote. Had they mentioned these adapters I would've been willing to allow them to do such an easy thing that I could've done myself at a way more reasonable price for their time. The truth is, it ended up costing me $22 to install six smoke detectors - which took about 12 minutes of my own time. Anybody doing business with Patrick's needs to be aware of this? They should be asking questions doing their own research and back checking what prices and quotes they're getting and legitimate explanations they are given for that work. I do not recommend this company. I called afterwards and told them about this experience, and they didn't give me any impressive answer or response about it. If you're doing business with Patrick's, get a second opinion. Otherwise you might be paying hundreds of dollars out-of-pocket for things that cost you $22 to do on your own.

Horrible experience over charged about 10k for a new airhandler heating and cooling system. They do…read moreno honor the warranty either! Very disappointed on how they took advantage of me. They didnt replace the wood board where the unit sits. They didnt replace the inside where the filter sits. They didnt replace the cement pad that the outside unit sits on and its very very uneven. I asked for a digital manual J load and was told it was too much work. That they can use the square footage 2217 sq and I was given a 3ton needing a 4 ton (now I know machine runs non stop) just bc the home had a 3ton doesnt mean swap it out n put same a reputable company would know this. Im very frustrated. I was misled and paid over 17k fr a swap the wrong size lower seer and worst than what i had before. I called still not cooling home they showed up spent sometime in the home issue not fixed and asked me if they put a low level uv may I add if I would remove the review. ABSOLUTELY NOT. I would like 7k back to bring it closer to what it really cost. Tricked me also i thought I was buying American do your research. Daikin purchased Goodman Global Group, Inc. in 2012 for $3.7 billion to establish a major manufacturing and sales presence in the United States. This acquisition, which included the Goodman and Amana brands, allowed the Japanese company to expand into the North American residential HVAC market. Goodman was later renamed Daikin Comfort Technologies North America, Inc.. I pray they do better by their customers customers.
