This company said I needed to replace my ductwork and after the old ductwork was pulled out they said I didn't need to replace it, someone who didn't realize that they were shooting themselves in the foot by saying such a thing. But of course now that the duct work was pulled out there wasn't much I could do. They did the work in the winter when The real test of how it worked wouldn't be seen until the summer. I was told that I did not need a permit to have it done when in fact I did. They didn't want to do it because it required an extra trip to the city and also a mechanical drawing regarding how it was set up. I insisted on it but if you don't have a permit the customer can be fined for it and before us to pull all of it out and have put in again. There are things they promised to do that they did not do. They've been to my house when it was first installed nine times to fix what they messed up that was very obvious. I told them many times to please be sure to redistribute the insulation in my attic so that it did not block the vents that pull the air through the attic and out. Summer has come and with my air conditioning running the humidity in my house is 65%. And each room there are vast differences in the temperature. Every time they come they say that the problem's been corrected and it has not. I've been diagnosed with heart failure and trying to breathe humid air is the worst thing for me. They have found every excuse not to fix the problems I spent all this money to be exactly where I was before I replaced the ductwork that I didn't even need. If you've had ductwork installed or any work by this company I would truly advise you to reach out to the city or county you're in to make sure that everything is fine If not please report it to them immediately so they can investigate you do not want to be in a situation where it's going to cost you thousands more to bring everything up to code. They came not too long ago because I kept telling them it was so humid in the house I couldn't stand it. If I put a bowl of water out from my dog the very next day it's going to greenish shade to it. The guy comes and he says he's really not sure how to increase the blower speed on the air handler he talks to someone comes back fiddles around a little bit and says it's been fixed and it should level off in a few hours. About 5 hours later I'm thinking wow it's really kind of chilly now and I look at the thermostat and he has the temperature down to low 70s and put the fan on non-stop rather than automatic. That is crazy I could have done that. It didn't correct the problem he just simply came in did this and then ran off with his tail between his legs. This company has disappointed me so much. They do try to get you to do everything in the winter so when you sign off that everything is fine because it does appear to be fine then they try to find an excuse not to help you. I would strong advise you to not deal with this company I know that they do electric and everything else but if theytreat customers as they do for duct work I wouldn't want them to do electric on my house or anything else. I'm going to have to proceed legally and also because of my health issues I was told that I can pursue criminal negligence. I will speak to an attorney that I was referred to and try to get this resolve that way. It's such a shame that it comes to this. So all I can say is please if you've had any work done by this company check with your city or county and make sure they did the permits and please try to avoid them at all costs. read more

had appt for annual maintenance between 2-4. Called at 1:30 and was told I would be the next stop. At 4:10 I called and was told again I was his next stop. The tech called me at 4:15 and said he would arrive at 5pm! Waited all day to be told my evening would be taken up also. Happily cancelled and will never do business with AirFx again read more

I had an issue with my hvac filtration system. I found this company listed as a certified Trane supplier. I asked for a solution and instead got charged 99 to view the system, with a plan to inform me within a *few days* what could be done . I never heard another word ..i even called to inquire after a week or so and was assured theyd get to me...needless to say they are unreliable, unprofessional to say the least. I intend to contact Trane as well...i suggest anyone go elsewhere read more

I am 70 years old and a couple of years ago, my brother-in-law called around for me to get quotes for air-conditioning replaced in my mobile home. I received a new air conditioner unit in 2023. The coil froze and it turned out it was defective from Trans. AirFx had a new coil replaced in less than a week. They also sent 3 technicians out to do a temporarily fix so I could have cool air until the new coil arrived. Deanna at the office was so kind as to check to make sure the AC was still cooling over a very hot few days. She said if it stops to please let her know and she will send a portable unit to the house. The technicians Jesse, Wyatt, and RJ repaired everything efficiently, were very professional, and friendly. I highly recommend this company for any air conditioning needs you might have. Airfx put in my original unit and thankfully all parts and labor were covered for 5 years! Great company! read more

Wow...unbelievable service! AC was out (at my parents house) after Cyclone Debby came through. House was unbelievable hot. Their normal AC person was not able to come out today. Called AirFx and even though they were closed due to the storm they sent Adam out. He called within 15 min after I had called and diagnosed and fixed the issue asap. I'm a little late in getting this review posted however, the Air FX team was amazing to work with. The AC unit and Trane air handler had been installed by the Air FX company while the house was still in the possession of the previous owner. Shortly after I purchased the home, the compressor in the AC unit went bad and sent pieces of metal into the line and unfortunately was unable to be cleared. The entire unit and air handler coils had to be replaced. The owner and every member of the team that came out here to work on the unit were easy to work with and to talk to, a real blessing. My outside unit made a strange noise last night, like wires sizzling. I called this morning for a service call and within 2 hours, a young man named Kyle came out. He found the problem, a very small snake had gotten inside where the circuit board is and it shorted out. Kyle has to order a new board and he will come back to install it. Right now very upset with this company. I paid for a motor for the air conditioner on 9/28/21 which they have deposited. Was told on Friday that they didn't have the motor in stock and where looking to find one. They were supposed to be here on Monday to install but got a phone call later in the afternoon that said we will be there Tuesday. Of course they didn't show so I call them around 4 to find out what was happening. Was told oh they did that on the 1st which they didn't. Was supposed to have a phone call back Tuesday after the girl got out of a meeting. Needless to say I called them this morning (Wednesday). Was told the guy just walked out and would be there today. Right now it is almost 3 and no phone call or truck showing up. Had thought to use them in the future for service but after this don't think I will. Very poor service if you ask me. read more

I manage a 9-year-old commercial building in Ocala that is heated and cooled by commercial grade Trane roof top air-conditioning units. About 2 weeks ago, one of the units stopped working, and the tenant called a local air conditioning service company, that for the purpose of this review I will refer to as "Company A" for service. The tenant notified me that the repairs consisted of the following, a compressor, blower motor, drive belts, 8 lbs. of freon at $100.00 a pound, and a couple of other odds and ends. The repair company suggested replacing the unit vs repairing it, with the replacement cost somewhere between $7500.00 and $9000.00. A service call of $50.00 was paid. At this point we called another company, that for the purpose of this review I will refer to as "Company B" for a second opinion and was quoted $2500.00 for a new blower motor and drive belt. A $95.00 dollar service call was paid. We decided to call our building repair man and asked what he thought, and he suggested calling Air FX for another estimate. We called Air FX and did not mention Company A or Company B to them. A repair technician arrived Monday morning September 14, 2020, went up on the roof and checked out the unit. The technician came down and informed us that we needed a new drive belt, then hopped in his truck and went somewhere to buy a new belt. When he arrived back at the building, he installed the new belt ran a diagnostic check of the unit and informed us that everything checked out fine. The Air FX bill for the service call, diagnostic check, and drive belt, came to a total of $114.00. I very rarely write reviews; however, it was very apparent that Company A and Company B were either very unqualified to make repairs or simply trying to take advantage of us. We just had our annual a/c cleaning completed by Air Fx. They are always a pleasure do do business with and we highly recommend them. But, we must make a particular note about today's technician, Ray Moreno. The job he did was beyond outstanding. With the excessive heat index today, he took his time and really, really cleaned our unit. No mumbling, no grumbling as is so often experienced these days. I moved into the area five months ago and wanted to have the AC checked. I've seen a few AirFX trucks around the neighborhood so I made an appointment to see how things worked around here. This morning I found out how things work around here, quite well actually, at least with AC service. The tech, Cole, was polite, respectful, well dressed and totally professional. He determined my AC to be just fine, didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need and answered all my questions. Just had a new Trane a/c unit installed. Very professionally handled from start to finish. The installers Ryan, Todd, and Jesse got us from old unit in the morning to functional new unit same afternoon. Todd & Jesse in particular did some extras by sealing some lines running through the skirting. And since we are in our 60s, we appreciated the courtesy that anyone we needed to speak to or who needed to come inside wore a mask. Highly recommend. read more

Air Fx dropped the ball multiple times with the installation of our new air system. Communication from the install team was poor and disorganized. The air handler drain pan was installed improperly and resulted in drywall damage and carpet soiling on the floor below. Removal of the old air handler resulted in heavily soiled walls and even more carpet soiling. The process to repair the damage done to the house was slow and not expedited. Air Fx is competitively priced and finally corrected the damage to my satisfaction after I escalated matters. With plenty of direct oversight, I would hire Air Fx again. Our neighbors recently had a new system installed and had an excellent experience with Air Fx. I recommend Air Fx cautiously. read more

When my A/C failed, I was leary of who to call. After checking other reviews, I noticed no negative reviews of Air Fx. Even though they said they were busy today, a serviceman showed up within hours. After I described the problem, he had it fixed in 10 minutes. It was only a failed capacitor. He then check my system and he was done. Todd was my svc tech on 1/7/17 . he was very friendly, Quickly found my problems, showed me the issues, and was fixed in no time. I am very happy with airfx and have been using them for a few years. and I will continue to use them in the future. UPDATE: It's now 2020 and I have had AirFx work on my 20 year old system a few more times, always happy with this company . Came from Delaware to Inverness to watch my daughter's house and dogs while she is out of town. Day 1 was unbearable, day 2 even worse. I contacted an AC repairman who was unable to get to us for several days to a week. I contacted a second contractor who said he couldn't come the next day but would be here the day after that. We set an appointment and late afternoon the day before he was scheduled, he cancelled via text. I found AirFX on the internet, called them and they came the same day. Todd (the serviceman) was personable and thorough. He explained the issue in layman's terms and had the AC up and running in less than 15 minutes.
