Have used Hilliards for a number of years. Recently called them for a small Mitsubishi a/c. I…read moretold them brand name beforehand. After 3 visits...first to determine the problem...added refrigerant, after 2nd visit still not working correctly so technician said needed "stop leak...ordered " stop Leak" and technician came out 3rd time to put in "Stop Leak." Unfortunately, unit was still not working correctly. I paid Hilliards $500. and I was told by Hilliard office employee I needed a new a/c and she would get prices. I called another A/C company who came out and asked about amount of refrigerant used. He said was too much and also they did not use "Stop Leak." The Hilliards technician said he could not open the part of unit in the attic...the 2nd company technician said he was able to open. They also explained more re the Mitsubishi unit. My A/C has been working ever since the 2nd company technician"fixed" it. I contacted Hilliards and they refused to return my $500. Worst experience with A/C repair and have been in Florida over 50 years.

Unfortunately Mr. Ponds, who came to our house to write up our purchase, did not mention that to me. So my suggestion to you is to make sure to ask about rebates before purchasing. They act as though they're doing you a favor, after they've collected the money "they" quoted you. It's a result of a lack of integrity and as a young company, they need to know how to trouble shoot an issue, instead of blaming the customer. This is a constructive criticism so they can learn and grow as their business grows.
