It took only one visit before Lilly learned my name -- just by voice alone. The first time I called (after the first visit) to schedule a fill, she knew who I was. This made it all the more personable, and I felt good knowing that I was going to a salon that cared. They do an amazing job with the nails, are always very polite and accommodating, and the prices are seriously unbeatable from the local competitors. I believe I pay only like $43 for a fill and pedicure; that's because I choose to get the Crackle nail polish -- which they have an abundance of! Lilly has almost every color imaginable. Honestly don't waste your time. The people who work here are super rude and the lady doing my nails had terrible things to say about customers after they left. They kind of yell at you and are very sarcastic. Sure, the prices are cheap but the quality of the service is super poor. I got a simple gel manicure, and my nails are a bit crooked and the lady got polish all over my fingers. I could have done a better job myself. When I asked her to fix the polish on my finger she told me it was my fault because I took a phone call while she was painting. Pretty sure my 5 minute call didn't cause the gel polish smears that were all over my cuticles. She was also very rough and unprofessional, and rushed through my entire service even though there wasn't a single other person waiting. I could have gotten over the rudeness if they at least did a better job. Very disappointing. Why did I come here... I live out in Wingfield and for years I have driven by this place and wondered why I have never gone in... Well I figured it out. I walk in, no customer service at all. No one looks up to even greet me. So finally someone takes me to the pedicure chair. The lady comes over and starts right away, no talking. I try to engage in conversation, still nothing. The massage was a 5 out of 10. Wasn't the most terrible massage but definitely wasn't the best. After the massage she rushed everything! My toenail polish was the sloppiest thing I have seen!! Me and my sister had an appointment on Mother's Day but when we arrived there were only two employees working on 6 customers. The owner was stressed and very rude. It was pretty clear they were under staffed and we were in for a long wait. We also watched two other customers who had appointments be turned away "because an employee called in sick." My second visit to this shop. First visit I saw Lilly & only got a fill & my nails looked great. Today I got a fill & pedi. Best pedi I have ever had. Got a pedicure today while visiting my in laws from SF. We usually come here when I come visit a few times a year. The place is what you expect from your typical nail salon- also fully equipped with nice massage chairs and plays movies for customers to watch while getting nails done. It is always clean and instruments are in sterilized pouches. We always come in the morning when it's not so busy and never had a problem with service. Tina did my nails today and they were great! I recently moved into the neighborhood, and after dissatisfaction with another salon, was looking for a great, clean, quality place. I have found it. Simply Nails is close to my new home. I called at 1230 on a Sunday, and was easily able to get an appointment at 2:15. When I walked in, both technicians were busy with two customers each. They both greeted my with warmth and professionalism. The next thing I noted the superior cleanliness and neatness of the salon. Everything was well organized, and the bottles of polish were all neatly kept. Anna, the owner, started my pedicure. My comfort was a priority, which was appreciated. As a person deals with quality in healthcare, I was impressed at her safety in cleaning tools, the foot basin, and all. She made a point of showing me the tool sterilizer used for all of their tools. The care provided was gentle, thorough, and the gel mani pedi looks great! I have not had a better experience at a nail salon than at Simply Nails. The prices are comparable to other salons. They paid close attention to my toes and were really good with the massage and callus removal. It was pleasant experience.

With this place being so close to my house, I really wanted to like it. I gave it a total of 4 tries, and 3 out of those 4 times my fingers/cuticles were cut. The last time was the worse, and the final straw. The lady, the one that sits in the front in the far right, was so rude, and cut 1 finger so bad, when filing my nails, it bled slightly. She didn't even say sorry!! I know I probably should have thrown a fit or something, but I'm not one for confrontation. The other 2 times weren't too bad, and the gentleman did a great job overall, which is why I came back, but with my last visit, I vow to never go back. Also, don't bother showing up on time for an appointment, you'll still have to sit there for at least 10 mins waiting for someone to acknowledge you. I'm newer to the area and it's been hard to find a nail salon that does good nails. I've had a ok experience with this salon until today. I had a appt at 11:30 for a Gel fill with Tina. She starts my nails than hands me off to another manicurist to polish my nails after a walk in comes in asking for a fill. After just getting my nails polish the manicureiat says ok that's it. I sat there looking at my nails thinking.. that's it? I left with nail polish all over my fingers and my nails half done. I've been going here for almost 3 years and have never had a bad experience. The salon started out with Lily and her husband Richard. They had expanded for awhile to three technicians and are back to just two with Richard doing a lot of the behind the scenes stuff. One of the best features is the lollipops they have for you while you are getting your treatments and the movies they play on the big screen television. I feel as if I'm getting a nail treatment right in my own home! Additionally, I can't say enough about their prices. For the amazing treatments you get, the prices are outstanding. I was a little hesitant to try this place after reading the other yelp reviews but I think they must have a screw loose. My appointment was at 3:30 I was in the bomb-ass massaging pedi chair at 3:35. The pedicure was hands down the best pedi I have ever had. There were only three ladies working and all three took care of me at some point. The manicure was delightful and my nails look great. $55 total (including gel mani) and I was out the door in under 2 hours. I highly recommend making an appointment, not because it is required but because it is the decent thing to do. Absolutely love this place! I have been coming here for over 5 years and they never disappoint. Lily, the owner, is so friendly and awesome at doing nails. All the staff is great too, Tina, Steven and Jim. I have had my nails done by each of them and they are always professional and do great work. My nails never lift and have lasted longer than they should have, lol. Their prices are very reasonable and they are always willing to squeeze you in, if needed. Today I got a fabulous pedicure by the gentleman that works there. (I believe it's just 2 women and a man that work here) What excites me with finding this place is: I called and they got me in within 10 min. I watched him open new tools before using them on me! When it came to filing my feet he examined my feet and gently worked on each area that needed it, rather than just going to town and hurting me. The sugar scrub/massage was amazing! While my polish was drying I could see him scrubbing the pedi bowl clean. Even taking the jet covers off. And the best part.. $30! Super cheap and well deserving of a $15 tip. read more

I went in today for the first time in over a year and a half. I stopped coming in because a job I had didn't allow nail polish or anything of the sort, but now I am able to have my nails done from work. Not sure if they are under new management or what, but I won't be coming back. I got a pedicure and a full set in just an hour. That's unheard of. My pedicure looks amazing, but I will have to go somewhere else to have my hands fixed. The man who applied the plastic tips applied glue to my actual nail first as opposed to just putting a small amount on the plastic. On one finger he very obviously used the wrong sized plastic tip. Then I was passed off to someone else who did the actual acrylic. There are multiple nails that are incredibly uneven, some parts of the nail thin and others thick. Multiple nails are really rough, and two don't even have acrylic covering the whole nail as it should. On my right thumb it was as if the side of my finger was glued to the nail and I pointed that out to the nail technician and she just simply filed, but didn't really fix the problem. She just seemed like she was in a huge hurry to get me in and out. I'm hoping some other salon in the Reno/Sparks area can salvage these in a few days when I have a day off to get them fixed. This place has always been good to me. I get the same thing every time, a gel mani and pedi. My polish doesn't even start lifting until well into the second week, and they always do a generous foot and hand massage. I'm not quite brave enough to try their waxing or eyelash extension services, so I can't comment on that. But as far as a good mani pedi, you can't go wrong. read more

I walked in and made an appt. for fill and pedi while visiting the area. I came back and was on time but still had to wait. No one greeted me...they just looked at me so I sat down. Not a big deal... I was told to pick a color which I did. Pedi was good. When I asked if he would be doing my nails he said, "no, she is". Which one I would have to find out! I was told to move and "sit here". I had gel color over pink and white. She did not make sure all color was off, even at end. I had to point out. She nicked me twice with dremel. She told me to wash my hands and "sit here". She ran out of salon with her wallet (which I noticed as she ran out) I thought she might be running to store. I used restroom and took my time. Another tech. told me to come over. She was doing gel since other person wasn't back? I guess they planned that but no one told me! Whatever...not impressed. Two days later and still having to file away rough spots.
