In LOVE with the job Jaclyn did this weekend! I booked an appointment for a fill in for myself & a pedicure for my mom. I knew in advance that Jaclyn was a great nail artist but I was BLOWN away with this set. My mom was excited to come along & unexpectedly added on a dip powder manicure & an eyebrow wax & they accommodated her without hesitations. Jaclyn and I shared my inspo pictures through Instagram & she delivered 10x! If you can't tell they're the Pokemon Ditto & Ditto Pikachu. The most adorable set I've ever had! The design feels incredibly durable since it was made with UV resin! Jaclyn said her set lasted a month & although she had some chips it still looked phenomenal. I'm incredibly happy. The salon is clean & fun to be in when you can chat & share & enjoy nail art like this. Can't believe I found a gem so close to the beach! Pedis all summer on the way home. read more

Went here to get my nails done, requested gel acrylic french, it covers half of my nail bed, as I kept looking at them I noticed bubbles starting to come through, they told me to come and they would fix them for free just for me to come back the lady puts clear nail polish over them, asks her coworkers to look at them AFTER putting the clear on and tells me nothings wrong with them, clearly in these pictures and as i showed them they are and they told me to go somewhere else. I've went in for a gel manicure and pedicure. I was able to do a walk in. The ladies who wore working there were extremely nice. As I am getting my pedicure the guy Andy is arguing and swearing with people next door because he was smoking. Honestly I was there about an hour and he went for a smoke at least 4 times. When I left I realized next door was chiropractic office with a sign no smoking. Now my bad review is not only for the bad experience with the owner arguing and smoking. The next day my gel nail polished peeled 3 of my nails. I go back and they take me in and the girls apologize and made the statement it's because it's not good quality of gel polish. I was shocked to hear that from the employees. I'm definitely not coming back. I can see why they have walk ins since it's empty. read more

Went there on a Friday to get a pedicure. The women who did my toes jabbed my big toe 3x with a cuticle clipper while trying to remove an ingrown nail that i did not have. I was bleeding so much and she continued to paint my toes as i was bleeding. And then tried to glue the puncture wound. 3 days later i now have an infection on my toe. I dont think the properly sanitize their equipment between uses. Should have ran out of there when i saw her take hers out from a pencil box. And you are expecting a spa treatment this isnt the place. read more

Whew This place use to be a staple of a nail salon in this area. It is such a joke these days. I got the worst pedicure I've received in YEARS! The ladies technique was so poor. She was doing my nails very rushed and it showed just look at the pictures! She seemed like she was bothered with doing her job.I was so upset because I had somewhere to go that day and needed the pedicure. The salon doesn't have a drying station and if they had portable fans the lady didn't even offer it to me as I got a regular pedi. Wet nails it is.RIDICULOUS. I'm giving 2 stars because the manager did make another pedicure lady fix it and apologized. But even still one rotten apple for me. Your techs should be vetted as even on their worse day should still deliver quality work! Never again. read more

Went there today had a appointment for my 10 year old granddaughter to have her nails done before school...personally I was treated ok except for the fact they told me Wait In my car if I wasn't getting my nails done, which I refused saying I was not leaving her unsupervised she's only 10....but I found them to be rude and disrespectful to other patrons. One woman was actually being yelled at loudly by at least two employees. The woman had requested to have her nails painted a certain way. They said she has waited to long to make up her mind and to come back tomorrow meanwhile she had been In the salon over 2 hours. ... not pointing fingers here but to yell, berate and disrespect customers loudly In front of other customers is just In bad taste and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

OK so I just went to this place yesterday I brought my sister with me because it was her birthday and I wanted to get her nails done. It was the only place in Shirley that had air conditioning so that's why initially we decided to stay. And I'm so glad that we did. I don't know why the bad reviews below. There's always two sides to a story. If you treat people nice you get treated nice. They were so nice to us. The guy in the front I'm not sure his name he's absolutely hysterical. The Spanish pedicure girl that my sister had was amazing. I will admit that the Asian pedicure lady that did my feet I felt she rushed a little bit but it is what it is they still came out looking good. Their equipment came out of a sanitizing machine. So I don't know what below they're talking about there. I liked them so much that I gave them a generous tip. Do you know that they actually said to me it was too much. I tried this place 3 times since moving to area. The first time was ok but noticed they were using dirty old nail filers and un sanitized equipment.... Which is illegal well at least in nyc it is. The next 2 times also noticed dirty nail filers and un sanitized clippers and were in a real rush. Also I found them to be really unprofessional using there phones and speaking to one another showing pictures or text messages when doing my pedicure and manicure. This only happened the last 2 times. Wouldn't recommend due to the fact they don't use new nail filers which I think is disgusting even if it wasn't COVID I don't want someone else's nail powder on my hands yuk. And the dirt nail clippers. At least clean them before a client comes in. read more

They are honest and suggested a cheaper option than what I asked for because it would look the same as what i asked for in the end. No other nail salon I had ever been to ever told me that such an option existed at a lesser price. Long story short, it was a $10 difference and as a young working person I can appreciate saving money where I can! They also offer gel fill ins (I don't like powder gel) which for some reason not all places in the area offer. I've been getting dip powder on my nails for about 2 and a half years. I like to think I've seen a thing or two with dip powder. I've got some knowledge in the realm and technique. When I go to my normal salon, they last anywhere from 2-3 weeks, no chipping, no cracking, no peeling, etc. I'm not the roughest with my hands but they do take a beating from time to time between gardening, working out, housework etc. which is why I go with dip powder because out of all the other nail color methods, I feel this has held up the best with me so far. I came to this salon in a pinch, and because I wanted to try out another local place so that I have options. They were so friendly and nice when I came in, I was immediately pleased with my experience so far. The girl who did my nails seemed to know exactly what she was doing (sometimes you get the newbie who is just slabbing on all kinds of concoctions in the wrong order..) so I was feeling confident that this salon was going to work out as another regular place. Also they are open late which is awesome! 5 days later one of my dip powder applications completely fell off. Yes I hit it on a door way, but not out of the ordinary for me and it was not a very hard hit to warrant my dip powder nail to completely fly off. Later that day, my edge chipped on another nail. And then another was starting to crack and chip. 5 days into my dip powder manicure and I already needed to come in for touch ups/ a new application. Again, I normally go 2-3 weeks with NO chips, NO peeling, NO cracks, nothing! But here I am, my nails are literally falling apart. Two days later almost the rest have fallen off and I am going back to my usual salon for an application. Never ever going back to this place. My $38 could have been better well spent somewhere else. If I knew I needed to get my nails done in a another week I would've just gone with the regular liquid polish manicure that chips away within 5-6 days anyway, which is, what, $10-15? What a waste of my money and time. Maybe their products are cheap and crappy. Maybe the solution was diluted. Maybe the technicians technique wasn't as great as I thought it was. Either way don't waste your time getting dip powder here. The two stars are for the service, for the friendliness and professionalism and also the fact they are open late than most other nail salons. read more

I asked for pedi. The file was already used as I can see the DNA that was in it before she started to file. No dehydrator and base coat was used on my nails. Nails looked blotchy after her top coat was applied. It may have needed a 3rd coat to look good. Paper used in between toes... price was $25. I left tip cause ppl work hard so I'm just sharing my experience not trying to bash anyone personally. read more

I'm really picky about who does my nails, and I randomly decided to try Andy's for the first time about two months ago. I was so excited because my nails came out PERFECT. The photos I added are all colors and shapes I've gotten here so far and I'm only coming back to this salon from now on. IIf I could give them 0 stars I would do just that! I called ahead because I wanted to make sure they had someone experienced available due to it being my first time at the salon and I had just recently moved to the neighborhood. I had previously gone to the same person for 10 years and have tried one other salon in between which I was not too happy with. The shape of the nails were not exactly uniform which is what I'm used to. It clearly says on the wall that a fill-in is $19. I told him he could cut the nails down and just make sure they were all the same shape and file underneath so I don't pick at them. That's a normal fill-in where I come from lol. I did not get any designs or anything special just a gel paint. They charged me $36 for my fill-in. They only charge $28 for an entire new set. I said "if a full set is $28 and I only got a fill-in why am I being charged $36?" He tells me "oh you said you are picky so that costs more I had to do more work." I don't know what that means but does that mean if I didn't say I was picky he would've done a worse job LOL. I understand if a fill in as $19 and you want to charge me an extra $10 for the gel that's fine but that's still only $29. This place obviously does not want repeat business and I guess that's why it was pretty dead when I got there. I would never go here again. read more

Never again! Not only did I wait for 30mins to be seen I was also rushed with my set of nails and the paint job sucked wasn't what I asked for at all. Asked for a French manicure with a colored tip she just painted a color tip then I got notice that I was charged $36.50 when I paid for $33.00 and signed for $33! I'm disputing that charge! If I could rate this establishment a zero, I would. In October 2019 I went in for a pedicure and eyebrow wax. The girl ripped back my cuticle and made me bleed. She then continued to wax my eyebrows and got the wax in my eyelashes. I had to go home and use baby oil to get it off. 2 weeks later my toe that she cut is infected. Come to find out after multiple infections, it is a fungus that I am still dealing with and trying to get of today. It has negatively impacted my life and has been a ton of podiatrist and doctors visits. Note: This was the only location I had went to get a pedicure at the time and only way in which I could have contracted the fungus. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE! read more

I've always had a great experience here! They do the best eyebrow waxing that I've ever had! They never make them too thin, they always come out perfect. I also love their gel manicures and their pedicures. It's not a huge place, so if you come during peak hours, you have to wait or they will ask you to come back, but just plan ahead and come when it's not busy, and you'll be glad that you did! read more

Horrible!!! I'm in a wheelchair and always call before getting services. Despite being assured that I could be accommodated, upon arriving it was whole different story. I was recommended to David the owner, so I went there after another place messed up my nails.... he did a beautiful job.... (So this place does not make appointments, no one will make an appointment for David, because they never know when he is going to be in) David decides last minute when he feels like coming in....anyway..that's not the worst part, I go to get a fill after he tells me what time to get there, I walk in and he says "I have to leave in 15 min" I told him I would come back and he said no..stay... so reluctantly I stayed.. he sat down started to do my nails.....AND WAS WATCHING TV...A SOCCER GAME....not paying attention, (again I asked him, do you want me to leave before you start so you can finish watching the game?) he said no and continued to mess up my nails... He cut them too short, change the shape of them, made one bigger than the other... And didn't even finish... He left, and made his sister finish... And they were a total disaster. After they polished them she said it was going to be $50, I looked at them like they were out of their mind since my nails look like a three-year did them! So his sister tried to fix them... They pick and choose customers so if you are fat or handicapped they will lie and say they are closed and they will not serve and then take new people & I went there twice and I got a wart on my finger from them not washing their equipment when I went back to show them they cut it off then put nail polish remover on the cut so go if you want but don't mess with people discriminate and who can't clean there equipment. read more
