Nail polish for my 10-year-old daughter is a rare treat, we've only done it a handful of times, and this was our third visit to Pacfe. Unfortunately, we've consistently found the quality of the products to be below standard. Within 2-3 days of each visit, her manicure and pedicure were already chipped and needed to be removed. This hasn't been our experience at other nail salons. We returned today purely for convenience since we were already at the shopping center and didn't have time to go elsewhere, especially with my daughter's musical tomorrow. The total came to $50, which felt a bit high, though we accepted it because she chose to add a 10-minute foot massage. However, the service itself was also lacking. My daughter typically receives three coats of clear polish (two base coats, the white tip, and a final top coat), but today she only received two clear coats, which likely contributed to the poor durability. At checkout, I paid by credit card and was charged a $2 merchant fee. I also left a $5 tip on the card since I didn't have cash. The staff member processing the payment pointed out that they "expect" at least an 18% tip and indicated an amount closer to $10 on the receipt. I want to be clear, I'm not against tipping. I regularly tip, and I'm happy to tip generously when the service is exceptional. However, tipping should remain voluntary, not pressured or expected. If a certain percentage is required, it should simply be built into the pricing to avoid uncomfortable situations. This was our third and last visit to Pacfe. Everyone inside is super friendly and offer coffee water and tea. You can schedule ahead or come in. Their point system is fantastic and the quality is top notch. It was second time coming! I originally wanted to get an acrylic fill in but girl that helped me suggested UV gel tips so I said why not. The lady took her time to prep my nails and make sure they were filed properly. I decided to get a gel pedi. I asked the girl that when she does my massage to remove her gloves. After she chitchat with a person next to her, I had a feeling something was wrong. I get to go to check out and the girl that's in charge of the checking out gave me an attitude saying that it's something they don't normally do that it's disgusting. I advised her I was allergic to latex and she still gave me a nasty attitude. Came in on work break for a Spa Pedicure , 50$ later , the nail tech has the AUDACITY to send me to the dryer with lumpy, bumpy, all over my cuticle nail polish. I get a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. My gel nail last about two weeks and they have a variety of colors. All my nail techs are very friendly, always asking if I want water or something to eat, they have great customer service. This location is very clean and cute. The only reason I don't give this place 5 stars because the front desk could be more friendlier. However this is my go to nail salon. I love their prices are always as posted. read more

I own a hair salon in East Setauket and come back to Long Island every couple of weeks for a weekend to work and usually head back home at the end of my day. I am a long time customer of PACFE, I'm constantly happy with the service and work until today, always tip 20% and fill out their satisfaction surveys. The before picture holding up my phone is how I came in with my nails, the other pictures are what was done to them. I repeatedly explained to the gentleman to not file them down so much and there were communication issues. I was then assigned to Gary who also tried to fix the error to the best of his ability and I appreciated that. What I did not appreciate was the reception and managers decision to charge me full price for the powder nails a total of $45 after having my nails filed down like triangles or her lack of etiquette huffing in front of me and another customer. What's worse was walking out and hearing another customer also agree that they should have never charged me for their inability to teach their staff how to file and shape. I am so thrilled with my experience at Pacfe! Yesterday, I received the Golden Spa Manicure, which came with paraffin wax, a 10 minute reflexology massage, warm/hot lotion and a standard manicure. I received the total VIP treatment here! I was a little early to my appointment, but figured I'd go in anyway. As soon as I walked in, I was happily greeted my multiple people. The inside is large, stylish and up to date on current trends. They took me 15 minutes early which was a plus! Gary, my nail artist, was great and thorough throughout my manicure. He asked if my nails were cut properly, if I liked the shape and how my massage felt. He put a lot of time and detail into his work. I highly recommend Pacfe. Everyone was very warm and welcoming. It's spa day for my niece and I! And after DMing each other nail pics on Instagram we came across this salon. A lot of times the salons that are boosted on my feed are somewhere across the country, but this one was on Long Island and not far from where my niece lives, so we made a plan to check it out with a bunch of nail designs on our phones ready to go. Earlier in the week I called to make an appointment. We wanted to go around 1pm because we both had other obligations in the afternoon. When I asked for someone to do acrylics and a gel manicure for my niece they said that they didn't have anyone at that time who could do that, because the techs that were available did not know how too...so we passed on the acrylics and each got powder gel manicures. I made sure they could still do a design, because essentially that's why we were trying this salon out. I was assured that the techs could, and we were on our way. We arrive and we're in awe of how beautiful the salon was. Cool looking egg-like chairs were where people were getting their pedicures done on the left side of the room while the nail desks were on the right. Everyone wore masks but there were no partitions. At this point it might be moot but definitely worth mentioning. When you arrive you check in on the iPad at the front desk with your phone number. I was shocked at this system as I've never seen it before. After a short time of waiting I was called and then my niece. There was only another person in between us so we weren't far from each other. I appreciated that. Daymen was my nail tech and he was great. After my previous nails were soaked off (they properly let them soak for a while after filing so they didn't have to keep filing my nails). I finally picked a color I wanted. I actually liked one of their dip powders and didn't need a design because the color itself is like black,pink and white confetti. I thought this was very fitting for Valentines Day. My niece got a powder gel base with a design on her ring fingers. Both manicures took just over an hour. They did a great, fast and neat job. I only wish Daymen did the base powder on top of this color because my nails are a bit bumpy. He said it's because "of the color" but I'm sure putting the base powder over would have helped. They also didn't cut our cuticles. I didn't realize this until after we left. I wonder if that's a precautionary thing. Oh well! I decided to be spontaneous and try out a new nail salon! This nail salon was extremely clean, bright and appealing to the eye. I got my classic black gel powder manicure, my favorite! The girl who did my nails was very professional and worked efficiently. This was one of the quickest manicures I have ever gotten, but still high quality. I just wish she had cut my cuticles a bit more because mine tend to grow a bit fast and they were only quickly trimmed. In total fairness he did his best but after 3 hrs He was done with everything and in the process they made feel guilty of the design I wanted. How hard and complicated it was, complain all the way. I am really disappointed in this visit. It was my first time and I have been wanting to try this place for some time. The front desk and check in was pleasant. I chose the color as they were starting my nails and I didn't realize until halfway through that the metal tools weren't sterilized. They didn't use any of the disposable nail files that they have on display. I was sketched out but at that point, the damage was already done. He started to paint my nails and the finished result was a little messy but I was in a rush and just wanted to get out of there. It wasn't until I left that I noticed nail polish on my finger tips and some more uneveness. I called after and they did offer me to come back and get my nails redone by someone else. But the cleanliness and lack of sterilization is the main reason I won't go back. I also didn't see anyone else (at least around me) sterilize so it wasn't just the one person. My nails came out great, just as I had asked. It's what happened after that is the issue. After 3 days my big toenails have both chipped. 3 days in one nail chipped then broke. I am just on two weeks in and 4 of my nails are chipped and broken off. For $45 Its a complete waste of money. I can usually go at least 3-4 weeks at my old salon with only grow out, and never have issues with my toes! I've been here a few times and it's very hit or miss. My most recent visit I paid extra for an almond shape but had to ask several times for nails to be fixed because they were asymmetrical. Not even a week later 7 nails are lifting which I've never had happen work powder gel before. One tip I guess wasn't glued on right and popped right off. The gel was thicker than I've had in a really long time so I don't know if that contributed. Other times it's been okay but every single time I have to ask for the shape to be fixed which is crazy considering I'm paying extra for it. For the price and quality I wouldn't recommend this place. I am a long standing customer. I received a reward from them for a free pedicure for my birthday. I had an appointment today. When I was done the girl that did my pedicure took my card to check me out. I assumed the free pedicure would come off my bill but it didn't. i went to the desk and told the manager that I had a reward that wasn't taken off. She told me that I have to tell them I have a reward do they can look at "my page" and know to use it. Came here after getting tired of subpar service from my usual salon. When I walked in I couldn't believe how beautiful the decor was and how big the salon was. There were so many nail stations and pedicure chairs! Between the crystal chandeliers and accents of pink and white, it's gorgeous. I was very shocked. This isn't your typical hole-in-the-wall nail salon. I had an appointment for a gel mani and pedi. I've never had a spa pedicure before, only a regular pedicure, but after looking at their large menu of different pedicures I couldn't help but to go with the green tea one. My tech was Amy. She really took her time and made me feel very relaxed. She also did my gel manicure. It came out impeccable and almost two weeks later not one chip or crack or break. I am very impressed. My daughter and I have been going to PACFE for a few months now. The beautiful appearance of the salon is what brought me there the first time. They have a huge selection of gel, powder and regular colors and always have plenty of staff. The salon is so clean and you never walk in without being greeted by someone at the desk. They have amazing pedicure chairs and they offer they best back massages as you get your nails done. Ling has been doing our nails and I can't say enough about her. She makes sure our nails look exactly how we want them to look. My daughters birthday is this week and she brought in a picture of a very colorful design today and asked Ling to make the design glow in the dark.
