My coworkers had been recommending Nail Salon for a while, and now I finally see why this place is so popular. I've never seen a nail salon so packed! I went on a Saturday morning for a pedicure and was still able to get seated quickly because they have a lot of staff working. The salon was very clean, and I really appreciated how careful they were about sanitation and protecting clients from infections. The technician did an excellent job on my pedicure. She was very thorough and professional. This is hands-down my new go-to spot for pedicures. I didn't try getting my nails done this time, but maybe next visit! read more

Easily one of the worst experiences I've had in a salon. I came in for a gel manicure with a simple polka dot design. I brought my own color and showed the woman that seated me the design. Another technician came and started my manicure. She was moving so fast and haphazardly, and kept telling me to "relax" my hands. I was tense because I was sure she was going to nick the side of my cuticle. She was pulling/cutting my cuticles so hard and ended up taking a chunk of my thumb cuticle. She did the manicure and forgot the design. When she got up to give me the massage I asked about it and she said it would be an extra $20 and she had to take off the top layers to do it over what she had already done. I told her to forget it. While massaging my shoulders behind me she reached around me for me to switch hands under the lamp and pulled my hair. All that and only got $5 off for the "inconvenience". They told me I could come back another day for the design, I said forget it and left. I've never left a poor review in my life and am generally a very understanding person but this was insane! read more

This place is huge best 2024 for a reason. They have so many chairs I couldn't count them. The vibe was amazing. When I say they was booked it was crazy not an empty chair in sight. For my vacation I had to get right so I was told about this place. Once I walked in I was greeted nicely. I was the only man in there but I wasn't treated any differently. As I sat there people kept walking in. When you're drying your nails they give you a massage. It's a very nice place. Next vacation I will be back. read more

You can book your appointment easily and quickly online through the Yelp chat system which made it so convenient. When I arrived I only had to wait a few minutes. Anita did a fabulous job doing my gel manicure. She did not rush and was very meticulous. She understood what I wanted and checked it to make sure I liked the color after it was applied. Everyone is so nice there. From the moment you walk until you leave. They try to accommodate you if you do not have an appointment. My nail tech is Apple and she is amazing. Any design that I show her she makes for me. She always does good work for me. When I get my pedicures I never have a problem with anyone. There was only one time I had an issue because my appt. got mixed up and so they gave me someone else. I didn't care for how she did my nails and then she was rushing because she had another appt. I complaint to the owner the next time I went and he made sure that I don't ever have that problem again.... Him and his wife are so nice. This is only my second time at ViVi nails but they fit me in so quick and they did an awesome job on my Gel-X nails. I have been to Vivi salon approximately four times. I have to say that the manager is a very nice man however the place is so huge noisy and when I leave there, I never feel relaxed. I've changed to another salon where I feel really, really comfortable. I believe most people go to Vivi to save money. They're very inexpensive, but I do not believe they're the best salon in Long Island because of their service it's because they're so cheap. There baskets overflow with trash and they rush their services. read more

Polite, prompt and courteous service at a reasonable price. I walked in without an appointment and was greeted and brought to someone quickly. The place was busy and slightly cluttered. The work station was messy and not very clean but reasonable enough. The tools she used were sealed. The buffer was new and they didn't charge more to buff like other places do. I wanted to get a pedi but they didn't ask and it was a holiday week so I didn't want to push it. I will just go back. Overall I sincerely liked the place with the exceptions mentioned above. My first ever visit there yesterday and lemme tell you, i was scared at first when i walked in, it was sooooo packed and i feared i would have been there forever....BUT! Got seated right away and began my removal of the old set - the lady was very gentle and efficient. Then i got to my scheduled nail tech 'Apple', she was amazing, also efficient and did exactly as i asked her. I even tried a new nail shape and that also came out great!!! Upon completion of this review, Jacky (the owner) had reached out to me to apologize and offered me a FULL REFUND! Thank you, and he even admitted it was their fault. However, that does not change the fact of what had happened. It's no surprise that he had reached out and asked me to remove the post. I cannot remove something that is undone, but I will do is provide an update of what transpired. Just because you give someone a FULL REFUND don't assume you can bend them to removing the review. I worship the lord who he is my only god. I think it's kinda disappointing that some businesses will reach out to customers to persevere good reviews/ratings of their business. I just moved and new to the area and it got exhausting traveling to my old stomping ground for my female necessities. No one personally recommended this salon, I found it here on Yelp and read the reviews and wanted to give it a shot. I've gone through a few salons and have been disappointed. I contacted Vivi here on Yelp and the owner, Jackie, contacted me immediately and set me up with an appointment for a powder manicure. When I arrived to the salon I was surprised how big it was inside and busy. I was early to my appointment as I usually am and i kept receiving apologies for waiting but I wasn't waiting long and I was early. Within 5-10 minutes I was put with this younger technician with dyed hair (I believe it was grey... I can't remember it was months ago). She was amazing. Very personable, kept checking in on the cut and shape etc. she kept saying "if you need anything done or fixed please let me know. Don't be shy" I started to laugh bc I'm never that that vocally picky person. I let the technician do their thing. But it's like she knew that there were a few times I wanted to say something. In the end I was pleasantly pleased with the salon and my technician. A month later I made another appointment because I was due for a fill in. I was pleased that it even lasted that long, since I'm an EMT and I'm constantly rough with my hands. Once again it was busy (but like any good salon, it should be especially ON Mother's Day. Which I forgot it was haha). This time I had two technicians one to soak off and one to give me the actual manicure. Most salons are like this so I wasn't surprised at all. This time around I was waiting longer then last time. I automatically assumed because the first time I was new and they had to give me their best technician. And that's perfectly fine. My second technician was a male which at first worried me. From prior reviews I read negative reviews in regards to a male. Well either I got a different male or the reviewers just had a total different experience. Because my guy was just as good as my first technician. One tip: I did have one guest next to me and since we were seating literally inches from each other, I couldn't help but hear some verbal transactions. The guest was asking for a specific look on her nails and unfortunately that specific technician she was with couldn't do it. HOWEVER, they talked it out and found something similar on their phones that BOTH the tech can do and the guest liked. So either be specific with what you want before sitting down with someone with what you want. OR be open minded and work with your tech! I apologize for the LONG review but I like to be specific with my feedback because when I come here for reviews I look for REAL REVIEWS. Not just a "good" "bad" etc. Definitely recommending and definitely returning. read more

Quite possibly the worst gel manicure I have ever received. I called ahead to see if there was space for a gel manicure with a soak off. The man who answered the phone, who I believe is the manager, said yes and for me to come in. I arrived and was met by the nail technician who was rushing me to the table and rushing me to pick a color. Once I sat down and started picking a color, I showed her a picture of a design that I wanted with two flowers on two nails and the other three just regular polish, to which she replied, "oh no problem that's super easy". We began. She was using the machine to buff off the previous gel color that I had, and was so aggressive that she kept hitting the side of my nail almost ripping my skin. I asked her to calm down with the machine because it was starting to hurt and she replied "it's your nail" The comment makes no sense but continue to aggressively buff off the color. She then filed my nails and i asked for square, she started to round the edges aggressive, and I asked her to fix it, and she replied, "you say that in the beginning" to which I replied, "if i wanted square with round edges I would have asked for that, i said very square". She painted my nails with a gel color that I picked which was done sloppily, and I had to point out quite a few times that they were bumps or bubbles in the nails that she wouldn't fix and just kept saying that "the topcoat will cover". Then, when it came time to paint the design on the nail she informed me that she "couldn't do it 100% the way I wanted" even though she told me it was super easy to do in the beginning. She then painted a design on to which I replied was "not what I wanted and asked if there was somebody in the salon who could do exactly what I was asking for". She called the manager over and his reply to me was "my technician will do the best she can", and we exchanged words for a few minutes about me wanting a very specific look for the design and her not being able to do it. The nail technician assured me she would do some thing as similar as possible and then got an attitude and completed design completely uneven and not even similar or close to the picture that I had shown her. It simply looks like a child did my nails trying to practice with gel polish. The polish is uneven, the topcoat coat is clumpy, the design is just horrid looking, and I am very disappointed in the quality from the nail salon. I guess you have to go to the salon and get specific technicians to get quality service. read more
