Waited over 2 hours, food was mid and very overpriced. The restaurant in itself was pretty nice

November 21, 2023 - Four for Dinner: Not very crowded we were with friends who we haven't seen in 1/2 year ANNNND I just drove 7 hours up from Venice FL to meet them so this was their call. Service was very good. (the place was not busy, but we were not ignored or needing anything) Great job. Food was just ok. Sandwiches and rolls not great. The beyond veggie burger was very strangely smashed and either pan fried in burnt oil and greasy OR deep fried....not sure what happened. The onion rings also were very dark but still under cooked and wet on the inside. Old grease/oil - needs changing. It's a great location for drinks and to grab a bite but we were 'eating" and not "dining" There was a live musician echoing away in another area/room, and it was not very good music. Again this was more of a bar feel than dining/restaurant spot. Drink was okay after a little mix up (no pun ...... well yes intended :-) We would go back but not just for the food. read more

I ordered the fried grouper sandwich with mac n cheese. Sandwich was amazing!! My mac n cheese unfortunately looked like it had been siting out for 2 days. My boyfriend ordered Mahi but they were out so our amazing server recommended the Red Fish. He ended up ordering the Red Fish with Mac n Cheese. The blackened Red Fish was cooked absolutely perfectly with just the right amount of seasoning. SO good!! His mac n cheese also looked delicious and fresh, so i'm not sure what had happened with mine. Our drinks were great! I had a Mai Tai, boyfriend had a Pina Colada, and our friend had a Buschwacker with a PB floater. The staff is very friendly! Our waitress did a great job. We had a Mai Tai and thought it tasted like a over priced Hawaiian Punch. The blackened red fish was a good portion and seasoned pretty heavy. The onion rings were crispy and yummy! Caesar salad had flaked Parmesan cheese on top. It was a good salad. The fried shrimp platter was very fairly priced. $20 for 12 shrimp. The weren't jumbo, but they weren't tiny. The cocktail sauce is weird. It has a spice in it, allspice or cinnamon? I don't know, but they should leave that out. I know I wasn't the only one who thought so; I overheard someone telling the manager that the sauce tasted like "Christmas" lol. That the spice wasn't good. My husband thought it made it taste a bit metallic. All in all, it was an okay experience that we don't think we will have again. If that drink had been good, we'd give it another shot, but.. it's not. read more

We had the Andy D's breakfast menu and it was pretty good!! I got pancakes with a side sausage and my husband got the double biscuits and gravy. I do wish there were more options for spicing up the pancakes such as fruit options! Also, one sausage patty was $3 which was a little crazy, but the other prices were fair! Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The ambiance would be way better if it wasn't raining and we could've sat outside! read more

New Edit: I received a call back from the owner who apologized for the inconvenience and is making things right. He was very genuine and apologetic. As the food, location, and staff were great I'll likely be returning to Andy D's throughout the summer. Old: (2 stars) Food and service was good. Convenient to go to right by Navarre beach. HOWEVER, they overcharged my card to make my tip 37%. Would not respond to my several calls and a voicemail at various times through the week about this. I got ahold of a person on the phone & they wrote down my name and number to give me a call back. And then I never got a call back. There were no issues during the dinner. Only noticed the overcharge when it was put through several days later. read more

OK, First I realize it was mother's day. Arrived at 8:30 AM and was informed it would be a 15 minute wait. The bar had a few people with drinks, so I asked if we could order breakfast at the bar. Answer YES! Sat 15 minutes before a bartender showed up and actually greeted people he knew that just sat down. They ordered a expresso martini and off he went to make it. Gone another 5 minutes. In the meantime this couple is paged for their table. Manager final realized we had not been waited on. Took our drink order. - Two bloody Mary's I took a sip of mine and almost spit it out. It was pure salt! A new bartender arrived and offered to make me a new one. This one had sooooo much A1 sauce it in I thought I should be eating a steak. Even my husband agreed it was terrible. The third one she made was just vodka and the mix. It was OK I ordered the pancake breakfast and my husband the breakfast sandwich. When the food arrived I immediately took the whipped butter and spread it on my pancakes. It did not melt. Had to ask for syrup, which came right out of the fridge. I took one bite of the pancakes and realized they were pure dough. I turned to by eggs which where ordered over easy. The yolks looked great, but when I cut into the eggs, all I say was slime. The ham was from a round deli log which was cut paper thin and heated in water. The ham was dried out! The so called American fries where the smallest I've ever seen. No potato inside of them..... My husband's sandwich was ok. Eggs looked nice and fluffy but the use the same ham on his sandwich. We are locals and have eaten dinner here at least once a week. The food is OK, but the service is always slow. Andy D's is doing OK now because it's summer, but the locals won't tide you over unless you start to improve you service and up the quality of food. read more

We had an amazing server Missy who was attentive & patient with all our questions and needs. The chicken strips & Cesar salad was tasty, the grilled red fish was excellent. The sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly but had no seasoning. Both the grouper and Mahi were tough, neither of us finished our sandwiches. Food and service were good. Sat outside to hear the band but it was so loud (and I love live music) so much it was not pleasant. The band was a great band too. I can't express enough that it was uncomfortably loud to the point it made the experience not good. I had to put paper towels in my ears to function loud. My 12 year kid after 20minutes begged me to leave and sat in the car because he said his ears hurt. People went deaf that night. read more

First experience here & it couldn't have gone better. We visited 2 more times during our stay in Navarre Beach. Karaoke was so fun. Another night a band was playing & our entire group had a blast. Our server both nights was Jaszmine C & she was fantabulous, engaging, entertaining & personable. We returned on our last day for brunch & it was good, server was good but not engaging. read more

Went to breakfast here to check it out. Location is by the beach but no views other than a parking lot. I ordered chicken and waffles. What came to the table was two very small toaster waffle and chicken nugget type chicken, spongy. Terrible fast food, bad quality! My husband wanted coffee since it was breakfast and they do not serve coffee. You have to go order in another part of the restaurant and stand in a long line. Not impressed! The quality of the breakfast food I do not recommend. Seems like a good place to get a cold adult drink and listen to music outside in the evening, other than that I do not recommend eating here. read more

I always sit at the bar and the bartender is always very friendly! I get the Caesar Salad with Buffalo chicken tenders on top and a draft beer. Never had an issue with service and they are always accommodating. read more

Food was ok. Three of us ate there on Sunday 19th. Two had the fried steak breakfast and the other was a traditional breakfast. The pancakes were ok, the eggs were cold, the fried potatoes were decent. The country fried steak was tough and the batter was a bit coarse and over cooked. Found out they batter their own patties and suggested they use a tempura beer batter instead. It would make it lighter and to talk with their meat suppliers about a better cut of patties to use in that dish. The waitress was ok. Never came back to ask how the meal was or to refill our water until the end. The place was busy and with better food could be a good place because it's right near Navarre Pier. When you walk into Andy D's you get the feeling that this could be a fun spot. There was a pretty good size dining area, an inside bar and an outside bar. With clever sayings and signage it reeks of a fun beach bar. Unfortunately it stopped there. We went to the bar instead of a table (big mistake). Although the bartender was right there, he continued to do "tasks" instead of waiting on us. Why is it when places are not busy you get the worst service? Anyway, about 10 minutes of sitting there I was getting up to leave when he decided to come over. We ordered our usual Bacardi and Water. About 5 minutes later we received them in a tiny glass even though we ordered single tall. I decided to look at a menu so I could get pictures of it for my review. Again, no bartender, so I went up to the hostess stand (no hostess), and picked up 2 of them. As I tried to read the menu, it was so worn out that it was barely legible, so I went back up to the hostess stand and looked at several of them. All were in pretty bad shape. (See pictures) We were not very hungry, but Sheila wanted to try their Hushpuppies so we placed an order for a basket with remoulade sauce and a side of cocktail sauce. I'm not usually a fan of remoulade sauce, so I wanted the cocktail sauce as a backup. The hushpuppies came out pretty quick and was brought out by an expediter. They were a very disappointing basket of over fried cornbread balls. They did not have much flavor other than an old grease taste and probably came right out of a Sysco bag. As expected, I didn't like the remoulade sauce, but Sheila did. I never received the cocktail sauce I asked for and the bartender was once again MIA. When he finally showed up about 10 more minutes later, he apologized for being gone, because he had to get the outside bar set up/opened. We did want a second drink, but we decide it was not worth the aggravation. So we paid our tab and left. Bottom Line: Andy D's is a "Beach Bar" with no view. The service for us was atrocious and the food bad. Had dinner and then breakfast the following morning. It was over Memorial Day weekend so I won't be negative about the wait time. With it being an open floor plan it is somewhat loud and difficult to hear the music or at times even conversations with your party. Dinner: we opted to sit at the bar (party of 4) to avoid the 45 min wait, no big deal. The mahi tacos were a bit bland but paired perfectly with the mango salsa! Yum, Yum, Yum! First off, the kitchen sink omelette is what I usually order at any breakfast place I go to. An omelette with as much as I can get inside it, with country gravy on top.. and here it was, already to go for me! My daughter had the cinnamon roll which she ate every bit so I assume it was amazing. And my honey liked his pancake and egg breakfast so we love it and we'll be back! The best place to eat on the island- but the restaurants over the bridge are better. Always friendly and fast service. But- a new mandatory service fee over 3% is added to every order, even for cash. So use your credit card and get the points back. The Tuna appetizer comes standard with crackers- a total of 6. Our waitress fixed that problem, was embarrassed that she is told to serve with so few. There is a $2 upcharge for serving with tostados. The grilled chicken breast added to the Salad had too much grizzle in it, this is the first time that has happened. This is the 6th restaurant that has been in this space since we have vacationed here. Last year- ate here twice, no problems. This year- room for improvement. read more

At first glance this looks like a perfect place for dinner however it was not. We waited over 30 minutes for a table of four. There were empty tables everywhere but not enough servers. We went on A Thursday evening about an hour before closing. We both had the Cuban sandwich. Mine with fries hers with onion rings. Both sandwiches were VERY good, in fact, probably the best I have had since I lived in Tampa. My fries were good but a little undercooked for me and the first few bites tasted a bit fishy. Her onion rings were very good. For dessert, we had key lime pie and the chocolate cake. Pie was excellent, the cake was also good but so sweet I couldn't finish it. (I actually ordered the fried cheesecake, but they were all out) Side note, I ordered a beer which was brought out in the can with no offer of a cold glass or mug, i walked over to the bar myself and got a cold glass. We ate here for both dinner one night and for breakfast one morning. For dinner we both ordered the grouper sandwich fried and it was by far the BEST grouper sandwich we've had down here. About an inch thick piece of grouper fried just right. It was great! For breakfast we did the mimosa tray, a meat omelet, the cinnamon roll and a side of bacon.
