Sailor's grill is A-ok. I used to go here all the time when I lived on Navarre Beach. It's a great place to grab a cold drink & a Sammy. The yellowfin poke tuna nachos were really good but last time I was there, they didn't have them on the menu. Bummers. Currently hooked on the haddock fingers thou. They are the Bomb. You can actually get them from the walk-up window on the patio, you don't have to go inside the Sailor's grill for them. Arrr! The drinks are always good. We love the frozen Margarita & the Bushwacker. Especially love the tiki ambiance here, the Palapa tiki bar here with the sand floor is so much fun, however, the service is always terrible. We went here one night on a whim because we didn't feel like cooking dinner after the beach. It's a small restaurant and it wasn't busy which was great. The food didn't take long to come and our server was amazing. The food was okay, but wasn't impressive by any means. It looks like an older run down restaurant, but it was clean. The atmosphere of this place is amazing! Of course with such a nice view of the bay, why wouldn't it be? One thing though, it stays super crowded and there is usually a long wait for a table. Luckily, they do have an awesome, outside, covered tiki bar where you can have a few drinks and listen to music while you wait for your table. If you are looking for more activity, rather than sitting around, there is also a sand volleyball pit. The food at Sailor's Grill is pretty basic. When I go, I'm not really going for the food. There are a lot of fried options such as tater tots, fried clam strips, chicken fingers, french fries, fried pickles etc. I'm always looking for something a little less greasy. They also have soups, burgers and sandwiches. I was looking for something a little healthier so I went with the garden salad which was nothing special just a typical salad. The one thing I am disappointed about is the service. It takes forever to get your food probably because it is so crowded. On several occasions my order was wrong and the servers hardly ever come back to check on you. Maybe next time I'll hang out at the bar and forget dinner. read more

Ate here this morning for breakfast. I ordered the potato bowl. It was FANTASTIC! All ingredients were perfectly proportioned and it couldn't have been better. Friend had the biscuits and gravy, while it was good she reported, she ran out of gravy. Waitress was excellent. The outdoor venue is old, outdated and all decorations are rusted and need to be replaced. Suggest you visit Z Artful Things for some fabulous new pieces. Lynn is a local artist and her work is affordable and would be a great upgrade. read more

We ate lunch here today for the first time with friends. I had shrimp from the starter menu. I asked the waitress what the market prices were, and she told me prices for a pound or half pound, and they sounded very reasonable. When the bill came, the price was more than double what she quoted!! 2 stars deducted! They were serving both breakfast and lunch and allowed us to order from both menus, which was nice. My husband had the Mexican omelet. It was good, but a little smaller than expected. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and the nice atmosphere, but be sure you get the correct price for items to avoid a big surprise. read more

After drinking half my coffee I discovered the cup was dirty inside like you would see from the Master Chief's mug on a ship. My wife's cup was ok. We both ordered the Western Omelette. The ham was cut into little cubes. It was like chewing rubber and had little flavor. We brought the ham cubes home for our dog and even he didn't like it. Our server provided little service. Came by one time right after receiving our food and asked us if it was ok which is fine but did not see her again. The other servers seemed to be paying attention to their customers. Another of our favorite restaurants has dropped to standard Navarre fare. After coming here for 20+ years, how silly to expect the same quality. We have always been happy with their food from breakfast to dinner. They have had the absolute best fried green tomatoes in the area. And the chicken tenders used to make you want them every day. They once had a good bakery. Today's were frozen and there was nothing that would make me come again. The iced tea was not very cold. The steamed veggies were okay but lacked seasoning. The fries and chicken tenders were frozen. The chicken sandwich was good but very lacking in substance for the price. The stars are for the wait staff. They are troopers. read more

Blackened Pagoda Fish Sandwich, onion rings, followed up with the best Key Lime pie in the world (no joke!). Life is good. Wish the blackened fish was spicy like years ago, but I think too many people complained of the heat. Great to place for sunsets, beach ball, swimming in the Sound, and just enjoying Florida. Well we almost didn't go here because of the yelp reviews. I'm glad we risked it! We had the blackened shrimp, which was cooked absolutely perfectly and packed full of flavor. My wife and son had the snapper which too was delicious. The fish tacos were very good. I also had the smoked tuna dip which was amazingly flavorful as well. For dessert, my wife had the key lime pie, which she raved about and my daughter had a huge chocolate chip cookie. Now all in all great food. The service was great too. We didn't wait long and our server was very attentive (never had an empty glass for long). I would definitely recommend Sailor's Grill. read more

Excellent breakfast albeit a bit overpriced. The pancakes are as big as your head and very thick. A stack of three will require a focused effort and a healthy appetite to finish. Also a little disappointed they the seafood omelette has vanished from the menu. My husband and I stopped here for a late lunch/early dinner a few days ago. We live close by and had never tried it... but I now know we were missing anything. He got a burger, which was quite small and almost burnt. I had the fish tacos that were beyond horrible. They were like some defrosted Walmart whitefish thrown in a tortilla with a ton of horrid hot onions on them. We got a beer with our meal and even that was horrible. The draft beer tasted flat and almost musty like the beer taps had never been cleaned. That would not suprise me if they have never been cleaned because the place was dirty everywhere we looked. I would have told the waitress that our food was terrible but some scrubby young kid from the kitchen brought our food out and we never saw the waitress again until she left our bill. There were a bunch of young female servers that were all on their phones taking pictures and selfies and things and they obviously didn't care that we were even there. Looks like a place you want to be! The restaurant is actually hidden behind the fun island vibes of Juana's Pagodas beach bar. Both the bar & restaurant are on their own private beach on the water, and have gorgeous views of the sunset! Sailors Grill is only a small part of the complex, and has both indoor & outside seating- great garage doors that have an indoor-outdoor feel! A kind of hidden surprise aside from the party scene next door, still with the ability to order drinks from the bar (their version of a bushwacker in a cute mason jar!). If I could give them a zero star rating I would. Went there this morning for breakfast...there was only one other couple when we got there. It took way longer than it should have to have our server greet us which should have been a sign of what was to come. We finally ordered and as we waited for our food several other families were seated outside. After waiting almost 30 minutes for our breakfast (an omelet and a pancake), we watched as the tables that came in after us got their food and we still hadn't gotten ours or been checked on by our server. We got up at that point and asked for the check for our one cup of coffee and an ice tea. Rather than comping our coffee and tea, they charged us almost $10 and then told us that it was probably because their pancakes are so fluffy and take awhile to cook that we had been waiting so long. The table next to us also ordered pancakes and got theirs without delay. What a crock! The manager was very sarcastic and snotty as if we didn't have the right to be irritated that they provided horrible service. As we were leaving, there was also only one gentleman seated inside so it wasn't because they got busy. We would NEVER recommend going here and won't ever be back. read more

We were looking for a good breakfast place close to our condo rental on Navarre Beach and decided to give this a try. It's a little overpriced but it's a vacation town. Everything is. I ordered the Mexican omelet with fried potatoes and a biscuit. My nephew ordered the same but with the gluten free bun option. Terrible service, horrible management..........Took 30 minutes just to get a waitress.....an hour to get our food. Food finally came out cold......We tried to order some bread and the manager come out and told us that it would take to long to make??? The waitress offered some crackers to snack on, so we accepted. As we tried to check out, we noticed on the receipt a $2 charge for the stale crackers! I mean seriously? Talk about adding insult to injury.....We addressed the waitress and she got the manager. The manager extremely rude, she continued to explain that we should have took into consideration that It was Friday night and we should have expected Poor food and service.... Breakfast on the Bay! It was a great way to end a wonderful vacation. We sat outside and watched about what I think were six dolphins playing near the dock area. We really enjoyed the inpromptou show they provided for us. The food was very good. The pastry was excellent. One of my kids ordered a sticky bun which was most excellent, covered with gooey sauce and loaded with pecans. The other had a cinnamon bun which was very good as well. As for me....well I endulged on an omlet loaded with veggies. As a side they had homestyle potatos which were very good as well. The service was excellent, but I must say there were very few people there yet.....we were the first in the door. I can't comment on their dinner or lunch, but this place is PACKED in the evening. Of course I am sure that the location of overlooking the bay with the sun setting has alot to do with it too. My husband and I were looking for a good fish sandwich for lunch. This place is right on the water and had decent reviews, so we decided to try it. The view was very nice and it had a nice casual, atmosphere so we were expecting to some great seafood. Unfortunately, that is not what we got. I asked what fish they were serving on the fish sandwich, and we were told that it was Haddock. From Alaska. Again, this restaurant is literally right on the water. I was very disappointed that they didn't have any local, fresh fish. So we both ordered shrimp instead. Well, I should have asked if that was local, because it was obviously frozen shrimp. I don't understand why a seafood restaurant right on the water can't serve fresh seafood! Our server was not rude, but not particularly nice either. However we were horrified by the woman waiting on the table next to us. When she delivered their drinks, she had several soft drinks on her tray for the children at the table. She hesitated before setting the drinks down, stating that she couldn't remember which one was the diet drink. So she TOOK A SIP OF ONE OF THE DRINKS, and then set it down on the table once she had presumably decided it was the diet drink. My husband and I were dumbfounded, but even more so by the fact that the people at the table didn't seem to mind! Or at least they didn't say anything. I ended up in Navarre Beach rather unexpectedly one weekend, and had seen ads for Juana's Pagodas all over the place. So we (the boyfriend and I) decided to check it out for lunch, which probably wasn't the best idea. Lunch was ok, but nothing to rave about. The food is tasty enough. After doing some research, we found out that what they do best is breakfast/brunch and desserts. OMG the desserts! They're amazing. Key lime pie, carrot cake, chocolate trifle with Bailey's...the list goes on. Breakfast is also very good. The omelets are yummy, and the sticky buns are to die for, I tell you. TO. DIE. FOR. They're huge, homemade, and covered in pecans and glaze. This place earns its stars solely on breakfast and desserts. read more

We take all our out of town guests here for at least one meal... Sailor's Grill is part of Juana's Pagodas, and right over the causeway to Navarre Beach. You can't beat the view or the prices! One favorite of mine has been the fried grouper fingers... better than any fried fish I've ever had; these are light and flaky with awesome flavor. They have an extensive menu in the restaurant as well as a gift shop, and a more limited menu in the Pagodas. Live entertainment here is always great and on-target. Summertime is 7 nights a week and there's always something going on. Hands down the best spot to view a sunset in the Navarre beach area. read more

I was VERY disappointed to hear a friend of mine was planning her wedding reception here and with what's going on in this world today they didn't refund her the 250.00 deposit. What's going on in this world is VERY sad and I can't believe a business owner would take advantage of anyone knowing people had lost they jobs though this COVID 19. I was planning my wedding in August with the Springhill Marriott. I received my FULL refund back of $300.00 that was suppose to be non-refundable. I received all of my non-refundable deposit from DJ, Florist, Caters, Venue. Unlike Juana's Pagodas my friend was told the deposit will be good for one year. FOR WHAT...you're charging them to sit in your restaurant. SHAMEFUL! Covid-19 people are dying people are out of work and you can't re-fund $250.00. BAD BUSINESS! Very Very disappointed. read more

This review is only for my Bushwacker drink and it was excellent! The bartender could have used a little pep in his step or maybe because it's the off-season I got the b-team attitude. Surely, it wasn't because of the drink I ordered since the panhandle is known for these drinks. In any case, I got my drink and scurried off to a seat overlooking the water and enjoyed it. There was only one other table taken, by a family. I opted not to order food based on the other reviews but for drinks and atmosphere, I'm giving this place 3.5 stars or 3 stars since there are no half-stars read more

Great place by the beach, service can be a little slow during peak times but, you have a great view of the water so it is not so painful. Good breakfast, starting to get a little pricey as they get a lot of tourist, still a pretty good value all in all. read more

RyAnnie Review one- we decided to stop by this little beach side joint on our way home from the beach and must say, disappointed. There were a few positives, it's of course right next to the water and they have a playground on the beach for the kids however I've always been adamant that have good atmosphere is no excuse for poor food quality. We ordered an appetizer, 2 entrees and a dessert and all were lack luster. The appetizer was an order of chili tots, the tots were crispy but the chilli was bland and there wasn't nearly enough to cheese to balance it out, it was like eat a big bowl of mushy chilli. The entrees 1. Shrimp (apparently that doesn't come with a side just a bowl of shrimp) and a Mexican burger with fries. I figured you couldn't go wrong with fresh sea food beach side, but I was wrong, the sea food like the chilli was completely bland it's like someone thought let's take this delicious fresh seafood throw it in a bowl of wet flour and see what happens, completely ruined the freshness of the entree not to mention serving it with a disgusting blend of cocktail sauce and ketchup, I've had more flavor from a gas station buffet. The second entree, the Mexican burger, again was completely bland of flavor and over cooked tasted like a piece of charcoal between a soggy bun and jar salsa, it's as if seasoning your meat was a completely foreign concept to these people. Finally dessert, I will say this even if the entree SUCKED I can usually turn a review around if you can serve a fabulous dessert (some people are chefs and some are bakers, is what it is) but unfortunately for my tastebuds they couldn't even handle this task, the key lime pie we ordered all mushed together in a keylime, whipped topping and dough (yes dough) tasteless blend, as a southerner whoever used canned pie dough instead of a gram cracker/ nut blend crust deserves to be shot and fed to the sharks. Overall the waitress was alright, friendly but slow at times, and the atmosphere is good, the food just ruins the experience, pack a picnic on the beach and stop by for a drink and round of volleyball. As a side note the corn dog I stole from my son was a 10/10 and deserves a bump up to two stars. read more
