As part of the $50 daily resort fee at the Andaz, there are some activities you can sign up for free. Reservations are required and we were only able to squeeze in going on an outrigger boat our last morning at 7am. My husband wasn't too sure about it but thanked me for signing us up after it was all over. It was very fun and the Andaz Beach Crew made it that way. The guy in charge of the outing was super knowledgeable and made us all feel like pros. It was only about a 30 minute activity but it added so much to our trip. I highly recommend you do this and know you can trust this beach crew to take care of you. read more

My wife and I utilized the Andaz beach crew several times as we enjoyed our ten day honeymoon at the resort. We went on a canoe tour, paddle board lesson, water bike tour, and used their snorkeling gear a number of times. Our guides Kekoa and Ricky were knowledgable and personable. All of the equipment was clean and well maintained. Reservations were easily made at the kiosk at the resort. The guides did a great job instilling confidence in the guests while understanding the comfort level and talent level of everyone. We would highly recommend this company to anyone. The only difference next time will be we will bring our own snorkeling equipment because we enjoyed it so much! read more

I had such a wonderful experience with this business and those who work here! Everyone is so kind and welcoming. The beach boys are so funny and got everything set up quickly. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and really seem to be enjoying themselves as well! The people up at the beach desks are so friendly and helpful! They even gave me a few recommendations for snorkeling spots and other activities to do on the island and it was so much fun! We booked a half day tour that was supposed to take us on a walk through bamboo, waterfalls, and "swimming with turtles". Ha!!! None of this happened. We paid over $400 for a half day tour which was merely road side stops (10 min hike from road to waterfall - booking agent said it would be 1 1/2 hour hike) and never were offered drinks or all the other things the tour promised. There was no swimming. Turtles involved turtle (3 turtles to be exact from 40 ft away) viewing from a public beach. Absolutely, would not recommend this half day road to Hana tour. Not to mention, the tour guide never did email any of the pics he said he would!! read more

The guide was nice but I feel ripped off. We are staying with Andaz and decided to bring our friends on this trip. The hotel schedule advertised $15/ppl for a 1 hr canoeing experience. But the run was only 30 minute. When I asked the beach crew isn't it suppose to be 1 hr he said it's only 30 minutes. Two days later, staying at the hotel again and it still advertising 1 hr experience. Don't get me wrong. I still like the canoeing. And the guide was very informative but it was too short and I felt cheated. It's a principle thing. Thought it would be fun even though it was at 6:30am!!! Best snorkeling trip I've ever been on. We went on both the Molokini tour with Maui Classic Charters on the Four Winds and the Andaz Beach Crew snorkeling trip on an outrigger. No comparison! The Beach Crew snorkeled with us and brought us to areas where we swam with turtles, and I even got to hold an octopus. Best part was they took pictures and sent them to us us for no extra charge- it was included in the package ($110 / person). With the Molokini tour, it was a hassle because of the 1 hour trip out there on the boat (warning if you get sea sick, it can be a bumpy ride). Once we got there, I think I saw more tourist out there than fish. Bottom line- save your money and time and go with Andaz Beach Crew. Much more intimate, convenient, and fun. read more

Phenomenal snorkeling experience along with a totally righteous staff! Matt, the gentleman I first spoke with, was knowledgable, friendly, and made me feel comfortable enough to take the plunge. Kaleo was our snorkel guide. Kaleo is a native to Hawaii and the ocean is his domain. He was not only a seasoned vet with the experience and knowledge it takes but Kaleo was funny and knew how to make you relax...Matt was not kidding when he promised me that . We saw so much sea life and there were opportunities for photo shoots. Quinn, was Kaleo's counterpart. Quin was just as friendly and professional at his craft. We enjoyed several activities with the Beach Crew. We took advantage of the complimentary outrigger canoe rides two mornings. One thing I recommend taking advantage of is the outrigger regatta. On Friday mornings they take twenty names and split you into teams of five. You then compete against other teams. 1st and 2nd place get prizes. We came in second. Woohoo! We also rented snorkeling equipment during the week. There is a live coral reef right in front of the Andaz. We saw lots of colorful fish as well as a giant sea turtle that swam right beneath us! I would have done a whale watching or snorkeling tour with them, but their tours start at $100+ per person, which was a bit steep for our liking. read more

Wonderful experience! My friend and I rented paddle boards for an hour one morning and the Andaz beach crew kept our valuables safe for us and also provided towels after we were done. And when a big wave knocked me off my board and I lost my sunglasses, one guy took a board out and another (Sean) got his mask and snorkel and they searched diligently until they found them!! Solid 5 stars! My husband and I took an hour paddle board lesson from Matt, within 15 mins, we were up paddling! We didn't fall once! Their whole crew is awesome! We took an Out Rigger tour with Kaleo, he's DA BEST! Travis gave us a 2 hr. kayak tour, we found 3 sea turtles!!! He took awesome photos for us which we could download for free from their website! Ricky and the other guys on the beach set us up every morning with an umbrella and 2 lounging chairs. They received us when we return from paddle boarding, just to make sure we won't hit the rocks. Loved the snorkeling! Definitely take a float belt with you even if you know how to swim. We swam for a long time. No place to rest. I was able to take a break here and there with the float belt. Great experience! We also went on the North Shore hiking tour. Wonderful guide!!! Definitely take water shoes on the hike. Some with good grip. read more

Bryan, Kaleo, Charlie and team are awesome! One of my top five travel experiences in the world was the Outrigger trip with Kaleo at the helm. Six Humpback whales came right to our canoe and put on a show! Kaleo is incredible..even his singing is good, but his knowledge of whales and what they are doing sets this apart from anyone else....great job guys! read more

BEST OUTING IN MAUI SO FAR! This is my husband, Scott my first trip to Maui and we have been here for 5 eventful days so far... We did the Outrigger & Snorkeling excursion with Kaleo as our guide and let me tell you- he ROCKED it! Kaleo is a very knowledgable and all-around rad local dude who will not let you down! As a first-time snorkeler, he made me feel very safe and comfortable in the water. He found many cool species under water which he pointed out to my husband and I, all while taking precious snapshots for us along the way with his underwater camera! The staff for the Andaz Beach Crew are the best. Not only are they all friendly and helpful, they are also extremely knowledgeable. We went on one of the morning kayak excursions and were so impressed with our guide Quinn. He shared with us Hawaiian history, nature facts, and just had such a positive aura! If you kayak, keep your eyes peeled for sea turtles. We were lucky enough to have a couple pop up right beside our kayaks! The Andaz Beach Crew also offer other excursions and have snorkel gear. I highly recommend taking the time to snorkel as well. The area has some wonderful rock formations perfect for spotting beautiful fish, sea urchins and cucumbers, and even eels. read more
