The rice and beans reminded me of one of my aunts cooking, a pleasant reminder of home. We never received water refills, and the overall attentiveness simply wasn't there. The atmosphere didn't help either. There were flies around the dining area, and remodeling was being done, which definitely took away from the experience. Then came the bill. I HATE FEELING LIKE I PAID SO MUCH FOR SO LITTLE ITS RHW WORSE FEELING I have absolutely no problem spending money to take my family out and enjoy a good meal. What bothered me was paying that bill and feeling like the only thing I was paying for was the opportunity to finally LEAVE. When the food is good but the service and atmosphere make you regret dining in, something is wrong. The food deserves credit--it really was good. But based on our overall experience, I couldn't recommend dining here. If I ever ordered from this restaurant again, it would probably be delivery or takeout.
