Had been to this salon on several occasions for acrylic manicure and was initially satisfied with the service. Shortly thereafter they began "pressuring" me to switch to gel polish and I eventually relented. When it was time to pay, I was surprised when the woman who had just finished my manicure upcharged me another $2 because one nail "needed a repair" (she really didn't do anything out of the ordinary). I was also uncomfortable when I asked her to remove polish on my toe nails (couldn't do it myself) and she seemed afraid to ask the owner. Although he agreed to have her do this, he seemed quite annoyed. Won't be back. read more

What a gem for me to accidentally find this place while getting my Dunkin' Donut fix a few doors down. The place is meticulously clean, organized and presentable. They have a vast array of nail polishes on display. Their prices are reasonable and affordable. They have a Mani/Pedi special on MTW for $32. I started with my eyebrow wax in an equally clean, clean smelling and orderly room. They have the regular wax and the other type of wax for the sensitive type. Kelly did a great job in waxing my eyebrows. She made sure that every little stray hairs are gone by also using the tweezers. The pedicure area are clean and the supplies are in order. Tammy, who did my pedicure really took the time in cleaning and prepping my toenails. She even gave me a very long foot/leg massage which almost put me to sleep. She even uses a small, long handled eyebrush dipped in acetone to wipe away stray polish on my foot. I think that shows that they take their profession seriously. As I was led to the drying station, I noticed that two people cleaned the pedicure area I had just vacated, making sure that it is clean for the next person. I wished I asked the name of the lady that seems to be running the place, and even the gentleman there. They are warm and friendly as soon as I stepped into the salon. This was my first time going to this nail salon. The reviews on Yelp were good so I decided to try it out. I had a gel manicure and a waxing done. PROS: -They are very friendly. -The place is spacious and clean. -They go out of their way to find a color that you're looking for. CONS: -I had a glitter nail on my ring finger, in gel. The technician who worked on me said it is best to have three coats on for better glitter. She put three coats on my right hand and two coats of glitter on my left ring finger. I asked if she was sure she put it on, and she said yes so I believed her. I went back home and from my lighting, there was clearly only two layers of glitter gel polish on my left ring finger. A bit bummed out on that one. -Whenever I go to a nail salon to get my nails done, I always dread getting my cuticles cut because most of the time they hurt. My previous salon I went to did a wonderful job in cutting them, I did not feel anything. The technician who worked on this one made it hurt. It didn't bleed, but it was no the most comfortable feeling. -The massage after the gel was applied was too quick. She literally applied it and it was over. There was still lotion to be seen on my hands after "rubbing" it. -The hot towel was way too hot, and she didn't even ask if it was okay or not, maybe I should have told her. -Honestly, it was a bit overpriced. If I was to drive down to willowgrove or the abington area, the salons charge way less. I had an upper lip wax and a gel manicure with my accent nail being glitter, totaled $36.00. $25 for my gel. an extra $5 for the glitter polish. and $6 for my lip wax. This is the only salon I ever went to that charges an extra $5 for a different nail color, not even a "design." -The gel was not applied in great terms. I can clearly see where the lumps are that had too much polish and etc. OVERALL: Maybe it was the technician I had, but I'm not going here again. I'm afraid to say that I don't think my nails will last long. My previous manicure lasted three weeks without a single chip, but for my thumb I can already see some wear and tear, and it has only been 4 hours. read more

A++. The service here is impeccable. They are friendly, professional and efficient. I had a mani/pedi with Tracy that was fabulous; she didn't even flinch at my calloused heels! I then brought my niece back for her first ever brow wax and a mani. Kelly eased her anxiety by explaining everything to her and her brows look great. Paul did her mani and she loved the experience. I usually come here when I am home for the weekend visiting my parents. My mom is a regular, so when we come we get a welcoming greeting and we get seated right away. Always a great mani-pedi- a couple times we have been in a rush, and the wonderful staff did my mani and pedi at the same time! Gel manicure always lasts weeks and weeks! read more

I usually go to the same nail salon but it was my nail technician's day off so I looked up some reviews and decided to give this place a try, upon arriving, the whole staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was great. However, the lady who did my nails rushed through my pedicure and cut my foot pretty bad. She also applied the coats very thick so that even hours after getting them done they got messed up. Also, the day after, the nail polish on my toe nail on the other foot was chipped. I Typically go to the same place and it turns out great so unfortunately I will not be returning here. read more

I have gone to Andaas about 5 times now, and each time I have not been disappointed! I always get the gel manicure. It is reasonably priced and it always lasts AT LEAST two weeks. The staff do careful work and are very accommodating. This is definitely my new "go-to" spot! read more

I have been coming to Andaa's for quite some time. In the past months I have noticed many changes. Not positive. Very disappointing. The pedicures are rushed. My feet used to feel GREAT. They hardly touch my feet/heals. Soaking my feet is short. Manicures same. Skin getting burned and cut etc. Staff very distracted. Waxing of eyebrows bad. What I have found is the people not the owners are more and more rushed and very distracted talking to each other and checking out who is coming in. And this is whether the place is crowded or not. From disappointed to devastated! I don't get my nails done "regularly" , I can not afford$$ to. That said when i do go its a treat or a special occasion. Now that doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about, I am a licensed cosmetologist and have tons of experience in the service industry. So this past July, for my Birthday I got a gift certificate to go here for a mani-pedi, (Pedis' are my favorite thing, I dream of the message part!) That said when I walked int eh door I told the young lady exactly that and that I wanted a strong and powerful message and that I was more than happy to wait for the right person for the job. She assured me the woman she was giving me to was amazing and why don't I make it a spa pedi , of course this coast more money but it meant I would receive a full half hour message. When it came time for the leg and foot message that I was now paying extra for, it felt as if I was being tickled with a feather. I asked the woman " Could you please use more pressure?" She smiled, nodded her head and continued, with no change. So I asked a second time. Still nothing. At this point I was frustrated and a little sad that the service I had looked so forward to was such a disappointment that I no longer wanted the manicure. I went to the front to pay saying nothing. When the same young lady whom had sold me the spa service and promised me it would be "amazing" asked me why I was not staying for the manicure. I explained very politely that the service she had sold me was not as she promised. That I had asked the manicurist twice to use pressure and to no avail I was thoroughly disappointed and felt that the extra $15 I was charged was absurd. She offered no apology certainly didn't offer me a refund. And that was that , and I never would have written about it. Figuring one bad experience does not a bad place make! Over this past Holiday my mother and I made appointments both of us for manicures and Pedicures, nothing fancy, the only special thing you might say about them was that I asked for a Gel manicure otherwise its not worth it. With a two year old and my hands in water constantly a regular manicure would never hold. The pedicure was fine, nothing special no great message but adequate for the price. Now usually the same person stays with the same client throughout their services. Or so I have always had that experience. The same woman was with my mother for her pedicure and manicure. But when I switched to start my manicure I was put over at the drying table first for about 10 minutes. Then when I sat down to get my manicure I was with a woman who was not the same one who did my pedicure. She also was not in the same uniform the rest of the staff was in and it seemed as if she was a little shaky about what that steps for my gel service where. And Here is where I felt it my duty to write this review. The Manicurist took out the electric filer, the one they use when you are getting tips and she ran it over the tops of my delicate, fragile, takes me forever to grow my nails out because they are so weak and tend to break all too easy. I knew this was wrong, and the manicurist sitting next to her said something to her. Of course I couldn't understand what she said but I could tell she was telling her what I was thinking."why are you doing that? We don't do that to natural nails for a gel manicure." I could have said something, but by the time it really set in what was happening it was too late. Plus isn't the point of paying a professional licensed manicurist to do your nails that you should be able to trust that they know what they are doing. And that they are trained not to harm you. So my manicure was over, after several things were pointed out to my manicurist during the gel application. Such as, make sure she keeps turning the light on after it goes out, That you want the gel exposed to the light for as long as possible, not just one 30 sec round. To reiterate, I had had an appointment. If someone was going to be paired with the fill in who was most likely not a full time employee and possible was not licensed but helping out. It should have been a walk in. Not to say that I think it was right to allow her to work on anyone. So I left, and my manicure looked great. And it lasted for 3 whole weeks. But when the polish finally came off of my nails. So did layers and layers of my nails. She DESTROYED my natural nails! Never have I had this happen before, at this point I have to reapply my own at home gel manicure in hopes that I can keep them covered long enough that they grow past the point where they break down to the skin because of how many layers of nail I have lost. And clear strengthening polish won't cut it because you can SEE CLEARLY the white layers of missing nail and the divots caused by the over abrasive electric filing done unnecessarily to my nails! Its funny, as a Christmas gift my mother in law got me a gift certificate to this place! lol I will not be using it read more

This was also my first time here and I also went after reading the reviews on Yelp. I got a mani/pedi. The pedi was pretty standard but still good. The mani was the best I've gotten in a long time. I will definitely be going to this salon. read more
