They charge a cancellation fee of $250 if you cancel less than 48 hours but.....they will cancel on you at any point without an explanation less than 24 hours to your appointment. They are very pricey but you would think you will get your moneys worth on customer service. I've been going to Pure Spa for a few years now, and absolutely love it. Getting back into a self-care routine (following COVID restrictions) has been incredibly important to me, & honestly it's been a life saver. I regularly see Francesca and Amanda for facials and waxing, and deep tissue massages from Michael. I recently dislocated my shoulder, and Michael was instrumental in my recovery plan (in partnership with my ortho & physical therapist). I love their online booking system, it's very convenient, and makes it very easy to make and update appointments when my schedule changes. Finally, Mimi, the owner, is wonderful - she's friendly, professional, and willing to go above and beyond for her clients. I really like Pure Spa. The first few times I went everything was perfect, I've seen a few different therapists and they've done a great job. The last time I was there the massage therapist I had told me she was going to help release bad energy from my shoulders, which consisted of her burping multiple times next to me. I treated myself to a much needed facial since the pandemic hit: I was a routine facial girl at Pure Spa for year It felt so nice and relaxing to be back. The ambiance is beautiful and soothing. Amanda who serviced my facial was fantastic and I woke up today glowing and feeling so good. (Lost a few Years too ). Nessa is hands down the best esthetician. She knows my skin better than I do. I used to go to the dermatologist for skincare recommendations, but now exclusively use what Nessa recommends. I do peels, hyrdofacials, and microdermabrasion with her depending on the season and where I am in my cycle. My face is always instantly better when I leave her. I just visited Pure Spa today. I had never gotten a massage or facial, but saw a package deal on their website for Valentines weekend and figured it would be a good time to try. I had a great massage by Christine. It definitely relieved all of my stress and left me feeling relaxed. I loved the hot towels and hot stones! She gave me some tips after my massage and made sure I was comfortable and had plenty of water in the relaxation room. I had about 20 minutes between my massage and facial, so I spent some time in the relaxation room. I was glad to see there was tea and some snacks! My sensitive skin facial with Amanda was so great! My skin feels so soft. I have very sensitive skin and she was really great about addressing my specific needs and answering my questions. The hot towels felt amazing!! OK, I've been back once a month for six months and counting since my first visit. Superb, wonderful, magnificent, better than a resort experience (except for the lack of palm trees and waterfall) and all of this in cozy, little downtown Ambler. Prior to my massage, I sat in the waiting area for a few minutes and chatted with another extremely satisfied frequenter. I am not the only pleased and pleasured patron. She said she's been having the time of her life for years here. I want to stress "relaxed", "professional", "warm", "clean"...I can't get enough. And Mimi, the gorgeous proprietor, has it all under control. Bravo, my dear! I forgot to mention in my first review, the warm, comfortable relaxation lounge, with complimentary tea, water, and snacks for when you are done your massage, to stretch out your visit and reflect on the magic which just happened to your body. A couple weeks ago I went to Pure Spa for my friends bachelorette party! I had my first professional facial by Amanda and she was amazing! I got the vitamin C facial and it was so relaxing and enjoyable! My skin felt so smooth and soft afterwards! Amanda was so informative/sweet and recommend a Vitamin C oil to use daily! I just visited PURE for the first time. While this review is specific to my treatment, I am looking forward to future visits. Denise is really good at Reflexology. I am coming off a sprained ankle with a strained Achilles, and treatment from her was spot on. She applied the right amount of pressure and touch in all the right points. I highly recommend Denise. I've been to Pure Spa twice for pampering and relaxation -- and left fully satisfied! I've gotten two massages, a facial, and an eyebrow wax. All services have been excellent. The first massage I got was part of an intro package (with Maria), and the second one was a fusion massage (with Michael). Both were relaxing and left my muscles much looser than before. The masseuses both used a good combination of soothing strokes and pressure, and were good at focussing on problem areas as well as giving a full body massage. I definitely hope to go back again soon! The eyebrow wax was my first ever, and I am very happy with how it looks Lindsay did a great job using my natural shape, and cleaning up around the edges to give me a more polished look. The facial with Dana was also excellent -- my face felt so soft afterwards! She also recommended a nightly face wash that has helped clear up a bit of acne I had trouble getting rid of before. When you go to Pure Spa, you get a robe and can enter the Relaxation Room before and after services. There is tea, magazines and soothing music -- it's the perfect place to take some time to unwind! I like the whole spa's ambiance; it makes it a truly relaxing spot. If you want a rejuvenating spa day, I'd highly recommend Pure Spa! read more

This place is definitely worth checking out. Clean, comfortable, and genuinely relaxing. They pretty much anticipate your every need. I was really impressed with their extensive massage menu, it has things I never even knew existed! The staff is also aware that little things count to, like having hair products in the shower instead of just the standard shower cap that I've encountered. The services are superb, it truly is a get-what-you-pay-for spa, no skimping on minutes, or sub-par products, etc. Everyone I met there seemed warm and welcoming which is great because I get really uncomfortable in the typical stuffy environment. After several appointments, peels and update to my home routine....I can tell you the results are spectacular!! Nessa is very knowledgeable and patient (with me!). I had the WORST adult hormonal acne for the last 3+ yrs...and last fall I committed to working on changes. Nessa is such a huge help for this area....she knows how to get it done, not only the facials, but the overall skin care regime too. I brought in all of my products and consulted with Nessa on the right things needed for my skin and what a wonderful thing! I really wanted to LOVE this Spa. I went for a mani/pedi during Spa week. My polish chipped terribly within 4 days! The staff seemed friendly enough. I can't remember the brand of polish that they used, but they should upgrade to something of higher quality. Either that or the technician didn't apply it properly. Note- Massage was amazing- Christina was fantastic and super friendly and left feeling completely renewed! One star rating is for customer service at checkout. I had a gift card that I received from someone a few years back, and apparently she had it a few years before giving it to me- in short, it no longer had any value even though it was a never used $150 gift card. I probably should have tried to pay before my appointment with it, but honestly that responsibility should be on the establishment in my opinion. The gift card had not expired (since that's not legal) but apparently they have a depreciation for Pure Spa. Half of the value (or something absurd) goes away in the first year and then a dollar a month after that. Things happen, but if that's not written in small print on the card I'm not sure how you're allowed to get away with it. I obviously wasn't the one who bought the card so how am I supposed to know that. I also have gift cards to another small massage place and they've never expired or depreciated. I am upset because the only reason I went was to use my gift card- if I knew it was valueless I would have booked at my usual place instead. I also think the woman checking me out could have been sympathetic at least, or maybe offered me a 10% discount at least for the misunderstanding. Instead she was completely unapologetic, slightly condescending and made it clear it was my mistake completely. Like I said partially my fault but on their end it was poorly handled and obviously left a bad taste in my mouth. Had that not happened I would have my it my new regular place since my other one is much father from where I live. EDIT- Heather called me and was very nice and understanding of how I felt about the below situation. She is going to credit my card back the full amount for the massage which was more than I could have hoped for. She also said they are going to use this to adjust their procedures with booking and payment of people with gift cards which is pretty cool. I initially started going to Pure Spa to prepare my skin for my upcoming nuptials. I have been now going to see Lindsay for the past 2 months. I can not express how amazing she is. She customized a plan to treat my problem issues and IT WORKED. My fiancé even commented recently about how amazing my skin looked. Lindsay is also doing spray tanning for me and my bridesmaids. Pure Spa is my go-to place for an indulgent, self-care or girl's spa day in the Greater Philadelphia area. I've enjoyed massages at other spas in the area, but once I discovered Pure Spa in Ambler, I knew I had found my massage/spa-day headquarters. I've now been there at least a half-dozen times, and the service and experience is always top-notch. The team is friendly and welcoming, and the facilities are clean, well-maintained, and simple yet tastefully decorated for relaxation. The massage therapists and estheticians are professional and knowledgeable, happy to answer questions and tailor the services to your needs. Personally, my favorite service is the Fusion massage - the blend between the relaxing Swedish massage and the therapeutic deep tissue massage. I've also enjoyed a few of their special seasonal aromatherapy massages, a nice change of pace. I always feel spectacular after a day at Pure Spa. Beyond the massage and facials themselves, one of the small touches that sets Pure Spa above other spas I've visited is their relaxation room. It is so nice to not be rushed out after a wonderful massage. The people in Pure Spa are SUPER nice and 100% professional. Makes you feel less guilty about shelling out that kind of money on yourself when you feel good supporting their business! While small, the spa is a really nice, clean, and relaxing environment. I went there for a one-hour Swedish massage. I didn't really know what to expect or know if I'd like it since I'd never had a massage before, but the experience was great. My massage therapist was very nice and made me feel comfortable right away. If I lived in the area, I'd definitely be planning my next visit! I saw all these great reviews and wanted to try pure, but I couldn't even get past the online scheduling.....pretty simple and straightforward I was pleasantly surprised when i was able to book a same day appt---i know that's extremely rare, so when I didn't hear a confirmation call that I was promised after my email stating my appointment time, I called the salon to make sure that my appointment did in fact book. Here's where my negative experience plays out: I called the salon, explained my situation and was placed on hold while the receptionist checked /got back to me. She never did--5 min later (on hold) I hung up and called right back, someone answered immediately, I explained my situation again and it was determined that the Web service booking their appointments made no record of my appointment for today (even though Saturday March 19th 3:00pm on was available), still took my credit card information to hold it, and there are no availabilities for today per the recptionist. Just an all around hassle that spoils the first impression for me----i won't be going out of my way to try this spa read more

Quick background story: Until tonight, I had never had a real massage. For Christmas, my husband gave me a gift certificate to a different spa in town, but the day after I opened my gift I learned that the spa was closing immediately. Needless to say, I was a bit peeved. But lo and behold, Pure Spa came to my rescue! They offered to accept my gift certificate for the face value, which in my opinion goes above and beyond great customer service. On to my experience...amazing, out of this world. The staff are so nice and unpretentious. I'm not one of those women who walks around with my hair and makeup done up perfectly at 7am, let alone 7pm and I felt completely comfortable here. To begin the session, Nancy mentioned that maternity massages are a little different from regular massages, so at first I was a little worried that it would be too gentle. I never should have thought twice about it. First, I fell in love with the heated table. Who wouldn't? Second, I had been fighting some severe head congestion, and 1 hour after the massage I was still breathing so much better than I had all week. Third, the massage itself was excellent. I can't even describe how relaxed I felt. While I can't make much of a comparison to any other massage experience, I will say that Pure Spa went way above my expectations. I was here yesterday for a massage with Kathleen. While I was here I left my very special necklace that I never take off in the pocket of my robe. By the time I realized the robes were already sent out to be cleaned. The staff at Pure Spa called Rodney immediately and also tore the place looking for my necklace. A few hours later I got a call that Rodney had found it. I really appreciate how caring and proactive the staff was and how sympathetic they were to me. As a former massage therapist that has worked for years at a center city spa, I would recommend this spa to anyone looking for excellent massage therapists and caring spa staff. I went to Pure Spa for my 30th birthday as a treat 2myself. I had the "works", Detox facial, Body Polish/Scrub, and my favorite the Bamboo Fusion Massage with Sue.. Sue was awesome! she really hooked me up. I slept so good even a week after I had that massage. If you want a high quality massage ask for Sue. The Place was clean and relaxing from the shower room to the Private Lounge. I definitely felt very comfortable. I went to this spa when I got a certificate for a facial service there. The spa is beautiful and clean inside. The waiting area had such a peaceful yet stylish atmosphere! The receptionist who took care of me was very nice and helpful. They make a point of really giving you a sense of peace and clarity. It is so adorable.
