I went to Crystal Nails for the first time today with my 5 yr old daughter. I got a pedi and she got a mani. The woman who did my daughter's nails was very sweet and helped her get off the chair and situated on the drying station. I got the hot stone pedi and it was so relaxing! The woman who did my feet did a wonderful job. The owner was very pleasant and kept checking on the the customers to make sure we were okay. I'll definitely be back again! read more

RACISM IS ALIVE AND WELL AT THIS SALON, BLACK CUSTOMERS BEWARE I have been a customer here since around 2019 or 2020. Despite consistently experiencing discriminatory behavior, I continued to return because the wife does my dip nails well and I do not like switching nail technicians. However, the racism my daughter and I endured became impossible to ignore or excuse, and after my most recent visit, I will never return, recommend this business, or give them another dollar. Repeatedly, we walked into Crystal Nails and were completely ignored. There was no greeting and no acknowledgment, while white customers were immediately welcomed and assisted. I have watched staff see me approaching through the front window and then deliberately look down or away as I entered. I have also witnessed this same behavior toward other Black customers while I was being serviced. Meanwhile, white customers were consistently acknowledged, welcomed, and asked how they could be helped. On one particular visit, I walked in and every employee stared at me in silence until the older woman finally said, "What do you want?" That interaction alone should have been enough for me to never return. I stayed away for months afterward and only came back because I was hesitant about changing salons. During my most recent visit, the day after Christmas, the behavior was once again blatant and I had reached my limit. I walked in and every employee except one avoided eye contact and kept their heads down. The youngest employee quietly greeted me, which I appreciated. I told her I had a 2:45 appointment with the owner. The owner looked directly at me while massaging another client and we made eye contact, yet she said nothing. She finished with that customer, approached me, and motioned with her hands for me to show my nails without speaking a single word. I had to say hi loudly just to get a response. Immediately afterward, the staff began speaking in their language and staring at me. Moments later, a white woman walked in and everyone greeted her warmly. The energy instantly shifted to smiles and politeness. The contrast was undeniable, and at that point, I walked out. Three minutes or so later, the owner called my phone and asked if I was coming to my appointment or not? Ignorant yet again! I replied, "I was just in there and that I would not be returning because you're racist." This is not accidental. It is a pattern of racist behavior. It is very clear that Black customers are not welcomed or respected at Crystal Nails. While any business can choose who they want to serve, I choose not to support a business that believes customer service should depend on the color of someone's skin. They give you a beautiful manicure- refill. It is quiet and peaceful. A nice was to spend a relaxing hour.

1st time at this nail salon. The only reason why I went to this salon, is my regular salon is being renovated. I just wanted to get a gel mani and pedicure. There was no one in the salon when we arrived. We were seated immediately. The pedicure was alright , I have had better. Then it was time for my manicure, and a completely different person did my nails. It was a gentleman, no name tag. I will admit that this gentleman gave me one of my best manicures. Today 12/31/20 I had an appointment for 9:30am all in all it was great! My nails and toes turned out amazing! They have so many color options and the staff is very nice. The only drawback about the staff is that they aren't very social. You basically sit down and they don't really say much to you or try to have a conversation. Since we are in a trying time with covid cleaning is one of those things you expect to see happening and I have to say honestly I didn't see much of it. I was the first one in the salon and they didn't ask me to use hand sanitizer or wash my hands prior to staring to work with me. Which was a huge negative for me personally. I know that I personally hand sanitized before walking in but I don't know if everyone who comes into the salon does that. While I was getting my toes done the women across from who was also getting her toes done and when she was finished they cleaned the tub where her feet were but they did not clean the chair in which she was sitting and put another women in that same chair that was not sanitized. As soon as I got home I immediately showered. They were extremely nice but I wouldn't say that they are doing all the cleaning in which a customer would feel safe with. If it wasn't for covid I would definitely rate it 4 out of 5 stars. This was my first time there. I am new to the area and since none of the women had name tags or talked I never got any of there names so if I was to go back I am not sure who to ask for because I did love the two women who took care of me today! read more

So disappointed because I don't get my nails done in a regular basis. This was for a wedding I am attending on Friday evening. Today is Wednesday I stopped in around 12:30 in afternoon to make an appointment for that same evening at 6pm and specifically asked for a gel manicure and gel pedicure. I arrived at 6pm and reiterated that I was there for my appointment for a gel manicure and a gel pedicure. So the the only thing that the technician did to my toe nails was barely remove existing polish and with the clippers, trimmed my toe nails. She did not push back cuticles around toe nail bed, of course did not use the cuticle trimmers on toes, did not file or buff toe nails. When it came time to apply polish, she applied regular nail polish (not gel) right over what was left of previous polish. I asked her if she was going to file my toe nails and she mumbled something of which I did not understand. After she finished the pedicure, I asked if that was a gel pedicure and she said no regular (which I knew b/c there was no use of the UV lamp). I stated that I had requested a gel pedicure but at point it was too late. I got home and took a closer look at my toes and there is polish all over my skin. Now for my manicure, I'm really not sure what happened but they look ridiculous! I should have refused to pay or at least not pay the full amount. I really didn't know what to say because I felt taken advantage of. Hoping the owner/manager reaches out and refunds my money. UPDATE - Response to owners comments - no other tool touched my toe nails except for nail clippers. Not sure what you are speaking to on your camera. My point was that I asked for a gel manicure and a gel pedicure and was directed by the person at the desk to pick out my GEL polish which I did. My other point in my review was that I asked if she was going to file toe nails and buff and was ignored. Again, I got my nails done for a Friday night wedding. read more

This was my first time with my cousin going to Crystal nails and spa. It will also be our last! I get my nails done quite often and pedicures my pedicure was just, stopped here early and yet paid extra for this. I broke six nails so I had four acrylic and gel left I asked them to give me something to remove the nails while my pedicure was being done so it would take less time to get a new faucet. Obviously I ended up leaving after the pedicure and will return to my regular nail salon who is closed today on Monday. Needless to say I would not recommend this place to anyone. A burning nightmare! This place is horrible when it comes to waxing. Please beware...... This is not the usual nail spa that I would go to yet since I needed an 'emergency' eyebrow waxing, I decided to google a nail salon near work. Crystal's appeared so I headed there & chanced it. When I got there, no one that worked in the salon greeted me. Yet I still sat down & waited my turn. After calling me into a room on the left, the painful process began. I'm not sure if the girl was new, but she applied the extremely hot wax to my left eyebrow! I told her that my eyebrow was in pain & she blamed it on my eye shadow & ask me to remove it. & on top of that, she grabbed the tweezers to try & remove hair from my raw skin!! She then gave me some green liquid saying that it would sooth my eyebrow & remove my light colored eye shadow. At this point, I don't know why I had not walked away, but I wiped my eyebrow with the green liquid & it stung/burned so bad that I got up headed towards the door! My skin was raw & burned. So as I was heading out, I guess the owner saw that my other eyebrow was not done & pleaded with me to wax the other. I let her wax it & then I advised her that the other girl burned my skin on the left brow. She mumbled something with a pitiful look. Truth be told, she didnt care. Crystal nails is my go to spot for manicures, pedicures, and waxes! The salon is very chic and they have great deals. It is $35 for a manicure and pedicure. During the pedicure they give great massages and they also give a massage while your nails are drying. My favorite service they provide is the shellac on my nails. They aren't always very friendly but I always enjoy their service. read more

Unfortunately not a very recommendable salon. I went there for the first time after purchasing their $40 for $50 deal and got a French mani pedi. The staff was friendly, but didn't seem very skilled. The woman doing my manicure was very sweet, but the manicure was painful, didn't even last a day and chipped off on multiple fingers. Crystal Nails have been my go to spot for my weekly mani & pedi for years. They are always so nice and the atmosphere of the salon is very chic & relaxing. The salon is kept in an excellent condition all the time and very sanitary with all of their equipments. This is the place I went with all of my bridesmaid to get our nails for my wedding as well. I have tried many other salons in the area and Crystal Nails is by far the best one I have been to. Great service and very nice people! read more

This salon is now under new management and I like it SO much more than I did before. For one thing, the shop is so much quieter. It used to be extremely noisy with all the techs constantly talking and yelling around to each other. It is much more relaxing now and the nail techs are very good and do a wonderful job of doing nails. She was there for gel manicure. 5 minutes later the girl sits us both down, then proceeds to start working on getting her set up with gel manicure. She was on her way back to me, and a lady comes in for an unscheduled eyebrow wax. She tells me it's going to be a few more minutes so she could wax her. I have been a customer since they opened. The service is usually excellent. Last week I went for a mani cure. One cuticle was cut down so far the nail bed was sore for almost a week. This week I called and made an appointment for 30 minutes later for a mani and pedi. I was there on time and they had me soak for 26 minutes before they began working on me! 14 minutes later my pedi was done, very disappointed. I would rather been told to come later or another day. Besides the employees being a little stand-offish, the manicure I received was awful. The woman offered to repair my split nail, and left a large lump of repair material under the polish. She also cut my nails, to be even with the shortest nails. The long nails on my left hand ended up being cut down so far the tips of my fingers show and are now not even with the right hand, that had the shorter nails to start. Within a few hours it was clear that the polish was not evenly applied, especially at the base of the nail. All in all, I am so disappointed, as I rarely get manicures and this was for a special event. I will not be going back. read more

Boyfriend and I walked in to get pedicures and they were amazing! First off, there was no wait, which was great! We got the foot facial pedicure and OMG AMAZING! Did a neon pink gel polish on my toes, had 18 min massage, masques, extremely relaxing and luxurious service! Our feet look and feel FANTASTIC! The salon is clean and bright, but I had the least pleasant pedicure experience ever. My daughter and I both got pedicures. She said her pedicure was OK - she's had better. My tech was so rough that I was afraid to let her use the callous remover. Even though we had appointments, we both felt rushed. This salon has been in this location for a number of years and appeared to have lots of 'regulars', so someone must like it - but I won't be back. Crystal Nail's is a great nail salon. I always come here to get my mani-pedi and they never disappoint me! The nail salon is a bit more spacious than most other nail places. The lady's are friendly and most of them have worked at Crystal Nail's for a very long time. The owner is also super friendly and even offers massages when he's not busy (I love this because most owners just sit back and relax but he's very active and communicates with his customers directly.) The salon is very clean and the pedicure chairs are fairly new. Crystal nail's is a bit more expensive than other places, but in this case, i think paying a few more dollars for the clean and relaxing experience is totally worth it. read more

Used to be a great nail salon but, lately, prices have increased, service has not and customer service is poor. You can tell the employees talk about you in front of you, and not in English, rush you through to try and get more customers through as quickly as possible. Owner paces the place and talks to everyone but in a stressed out, need to move you along and get you out of here type manner. While I realize competition in the area is steep, increasing prices and poor customer service is not the way to attract and keep customers. I believe Terry did my nails last time I was here. I got acrylic gel nails and they lasted forever, it was by far the best manicure I have ever gotten. WORST experience in my entire life. First, we can start with the fact that I signed in, and waited 45 minutes for someone to even come over to say hello and ask me what I wanted done. 20 minutes later, I got an eyebrow wax. I had a stinging sensation for the next 2 hours- when I got home, I realized I had a layer of skin ripped off under my right brow. When I finally got my "easy" refill started, the technician working on me had absolutely no clue what she was doing and handed me off to someone else because it was "too hard." The next technician? Even worse. She put the acrylic on extra thick and appeared to have little experience. I wanted a GEL manicure and showed her the colors- they put regular polish in front of the gel version on the wall, I guess- she puts the clear gel layer on and then the REGULAR polish on half my fingers because another technician notices and tells her. By that time, it is way past the store closing so I say just to finish it. Normally, with gel, at other salons, you pay after- but with regular polish, before- so you don't ruin the nails. In this situation, because they stupidly put on regular polish by mistake, I ruined the job trying to get into my purse and wallet. They did not even offer to fix. I cannot believe I paid for this awful service. Please do not go here. Their technicians are rude, have no idea what the f they are doing, and don't get waxed unless you want to rock a scab on your eye, like I currently am. read more

The women who work there are nothing but rude. They constantly speak about the customers and somehow think that nobody will notice b/c they speak in another language. You feel like Elaine from Seinfeld when you are in there. They constantly rush to get to the next customer to try to get more tips. It is so rushed, not at all relaxing. During the manicures they cut me several times. Then they put some liquid on the cuts to stop bleeding and that just burns more. Horrible customer service. Mediocre (at best) nails. read more
