The truck broke down when we got off the freeway. The alternator was done. We called Sandovals and they arrived within the hour. They were able to load our huge trailer truck and car onto their massive tow. The driver took us from Riverside to Irvine. 1 star I had a very…read moredisappointing experience with this tow company. I spoke with Christina, and she initially sounded very nice and helpful. She told me the tow would be $350. I had called other local tow yards, and they were quoting around $250-$300, but they were taking longer. Even though Christina's quote was a little higher, I agreed because they said they were available right away and I needed the car moved. Looking back, I feel like they took advantage of the fact that we were in a stressful situation and needed help quickly. The tow was only about 11 miles. The vehicle was taken to a storage location that Christina recommended. She told me it would be better to take it there in case the car leaked oil, so it would not get on the concrete. At the time, I trusted what she was saying. The car was only stored for about 2 days, and I was told the storage fee was $125 per day. Even with storage, I was shocked when the total changed from the original $350 quote to $1,362. I asked more than once for an itemized invoice showing the tow fee, mileage, storage days, and any extra charges. Instead, I was told the invoice was inside the vehicle, even though I explained that I could not go in person and asked for a photo or copy by text or email. There was no police impound and no police report. I also asked whether this was being charged as a regular tow or an accident/recovery tow, but I still did not receive a clear written breakdown. Overall, I felt the pricing was not transparent, and I felt taken advantage of during a stressful moment. I would strongly recommend getting the full price, storage fees, mileage, and any additional charges in writing before agreeing to use this company or not using them at all.

My Lexus wouldn't start and needed a flatbed because of a low lip kit. I lucked out getting Liberty Towing and Francisco. He called ahead, asked the right questions about clearance, and showed up clearly knowing his stuff and with the appropriate equipment. He got the car up safely and quickly -- no drama, no damage. It was efficient because he was experienced and knowledgeable (unfortunately rare and not always the case). Then I needed a second tow to a different mechanic. I reached out to Francisco directly, and he/ his company coordinated everything through AAA so that it was covered without the hassle of reimbursement, kept me updated the entire time, and even sent photos when the car was picked up and dropped off. I didn't have to wait around or deal with any hassle. He was professional, kind, and never once hinted at expecting a tip. Just solid, honest work. I never thought I'd review a towing service but truly, this team deserves recognition. Highly recommend Liberty Towing and Francisco, in particular.

What an absolute nightmare!!!! Almost impressive. Worst business ever…read more Geico, (who assured pick up within one hour..) put out tow request for us (also reviewing Geico who were ridiculously bad)...and Liberty promptly verified they'd pick up car. This was important as we are in rental in Lake Arrowhead and reservation was through today. Owner wonderful and extended stay, but was critical car get to mechanics by noon so they had afternoon to diagnose. Called at 10 a.m. assuming car would be dropped off before noon as Geico assured. Time for pick up was rapidly approaching when got call from Liberty saying it would be another 45 minutes. Grimacing, called mechanics who said they'd wait. That time came and went (now nearly two hours) when Liberty called again. Informed us we'd owe an additional $50 for 5 extra miles (Geico limits you to 15 miles.. doesn't matter if you're stuck on a mountain and the closest place is 20 miles ...) as Geico said we weren't in accident. He then said they wouldn't arrive in additional 45 minutes...how about 1:30?!?!?!?!? Shocked I was adamant that wouldn't work and meant we lost our slot at auto shop. He hung up. About another hour passed and I called Geico, dragging through their awful AI program trying to get human. Finally did. SHE SAID...Oh they dropped the pick up!!!! No call, no text NOTHING FROM LIBERTY OR GEICO!!! Day lost. Now having to spend tomorrow night and maybe another in hotel.....While booked at rental in Dana Point starting tonight. INSANE. A new order placed for tow. This guy was great! Also shared how everyone KNOWS how bad Liberty is run. Grab jobs, can't meet timelines and drop customers with no contact. Also found out they're currently being sued. THE WORST. AVOID LIKE PLAGUE!!!!! Just AWFUL customer service! Other guys here in 40 minutes, car loaded swiftly and dropped quickly at mechanics!
