Tried the chicken katsu, BBQ chicken, and the spam musubi. I was impressed by how succulent and flavorful both chicken dishes were! Perfectly cooked and juicy. I really enjoyed the spam, which was also really tasty. I didn't care much for the macaroni and cheese- I thought it was a bit bland but that may be intentional since the chicken is pretty heavy with the rice. The salad had a really nice dressing that definitely brightens up the entire plate. I was worried my party wouldn't find a place to sit since all the tables were occupied. Luckily a table became available- wouldn't want to sit outside in the summer heat! For some odd reason, there were no trash cans available, so we gave our trash to the front register. read more

Discovered this place while having coffee across the street. I knew I was in Euless - quite a diverse population base - and wanted something funky and I found this. CAN WE ALL SAY HAWAIIAN MAC?! So good. Had a giant styrofoam container of teriyaki beef with double mac and it was under $10. I was in heaven. I have been too Hawaii twice before, and honestly if you told me that the food was flown in from there i would have believed you. Overall a Solid lunch spot. The staff is friendly and takes their time to make your food. Not to mention that the portions are HUGE for a very affordable price! Food was good, I had coconut shrimp which came frozen from a box but was tasty. The plate option came with 8 shrimp, a large serving of rice and a serving of macaroni and green leaf salad, which were both were cool delicious! I'm not a huge fan of sticky rice so next time I may opt for an extra serving of green salad. I think they make the ranch in house, it's wonderful! I've hear a lot about this place being one, if not the only authentic place to get Hawaiian food in the metroplex. First time I was here, I got the spam musubi to go and it was SO GOOD. I totally recommend it! Second time I came here, I wanted to sit down and try more of their menu. So I came w a friend and she got the loco moco bowl and I got the bbq chicken bowl with the otai drink. Both the bowls were good the first couple bites but I felt they put too much sauce (on both bowls) and it got kinda salty and hard to finish. I really liked the otai drink, big chucks of fruit! I just love this place. The food is very homey and delicious. What can be more comforting than the loco moco, which is rice topped with two hamburger patties and two fried eggs and a side of macaroni salad, which is very tasty matter of fact. Every bite it eat, I enjoy to the fullest. The thick brown gravy is very delicious as well and ties everything together. My wife ordered the short ribs, pork and the chicken. The short ribs are soft and tender, not chewy and all the meats are just full of flavor. I'll keep coming back here for sure. read more

Ana's Island Grill serves authentic Hawaiian plate specials. I am so grateful that I have learned about Ana's Island Grill. A coworker brought me a coupon that was in the local paper because they knew how much I like Hawaiin food. On our first visit we got the BBQ chicken plate as our true test. We were very impressed with the lean chicken meat, the big bold flavor of the sauce and the delicious macaroni salad. The chicken was freshly prepared when we ordered. We also ordered the Masubi which was delicious and was served warm. They have layers of seasoned SPAM on both sides of the Masubi which seemed to give it, even more, flavor. The only challenge is seating. There are not a lot of seats inside the restaurant. If it was a busy hot summer day, it might be a bit challenging to find a table. It sure is nice to have something closer to us than having to drive up to Plano just to get great Hawaiin, plus this tastes better. read more

So...if Hawaiian specifically is what you are looking for, like the real deal type stuff...check it out. It's worth probably even driving a distance if you're outside of mid cities. I work not too far so fortunately it's super convenient. IMO more of a take it and go type spot. But do not let the storefront fool you. Love the BBQ chicken and rice lunch combo, they give you a ton of chicken for only 5 bucks. Everything is fresh and made to order. Call ahead if you need to get in and out. Just a little hole in the wall that is a lot more than you could dream of when it comes to amazing cooked to order Hawaiian/ island food. Two beautiful ladies were running the kitchen and graciously helped us with our order. We picked the lunch plates, teriyaki beef and Hawaiian BBQ chicken, comes with salad, macaroni and rice and for drinks we had to go with the fruity watermelon yum that's home made and pre poured into to go cups. We shared plates and were in love with the flavor of the BBQ. It's on the soy sauce Asian side and the teriyaki beef was really intense and flavorful. In fact the lunch plate was so incredibly large we closed out to go containers and said this is what's for dinner tonight! We will be back and look forward to trying the ribs. read more

Love this place! It's hard to get food around where I live that isn't McDonald's or Taco Bell or the basic fast food places, so I love that Ana's is so local! Food is always delicious and customer service is great. I haven't tried everything on the menu, but the katsu and Hawaiian BBQ are really good. Not dry, unlike other Hawaiian food places I've tried. Don't be fooled by the appearance or location, Ana's island grill serves amazing Hawaiian style cuisine! I got the big island burger which was unlike any other I've ever tasted. We walked in and ordered. When we sat down we noticed the window sills were full of dust. No big deal, maybe they missed it. When we were eating we saw a giant 2-3 inch roach scuttle about. It REALLY ruined our appetites. I noticed a lot of take out orders which I can assume is because the place is really not a great place to eat in. This also probably explains how this place could be even remotely high in reviews. As for the food itself, we were underwhelmed. The Loco Moco was disappointing because of thin underseasoned patties. This place is the real deal if you want Hawaiian food! If you come you gotta try their Otai drink which has watermelon and other fruits in there! It's cheap for the portion they give. You can either double up on the same meat or chose different ones. Their macaroni salad is pretty good too. I always get the BBQ pork and the pork ribs which hits the spot every time. All of which definitely has tons of flavor. The only thing is that it does take awhile for them to bring out your food so make sure to call ahead and place your order. First time and tried their 1. spam mushbi- wasn't anything special, tasted just like spam wrapped between sushi rice with sushi soy sauce- would skip 2. hawaiian bbq chicken- best out of the bunch- got it 2 3. short ribs- they used the same sauce as the bbq chicken but the short ribs were a bit tough but obviously worth the money for the amount given 4- loco moco- i regretted getting. Ana's was recommended to me, so I thought I'd try it on my way home from work. It's just a few blocks north of 183. We each ordered a mixed plate-beef/chicken/ribs and chicken/shrimp/ribs. Chicken was my very favorite. It is sweet but not overly so. The shrimp was crispy with fresh coconut. I definitely want to try the pork also. The rice is under the meat, so it has all the meat drippings. It was delicious. The macaroni salad was good. The green salad was romaine lettuce with a white dressing, but not a thick dressing like ranch. My companion had the Otai drink. It is full of fruit and super flavorful. Everything was wonderful! They just need shave ice! The two ladies in the kitchen came out several times to check on us and answer my various questions about the menu they were great! They also cater. Place looked promising. Ordered a Loco Moco plate that cost $14.99 which consists of rice two hamburger pattys and two fried eggs and a island drink. Food came out and the hamburger pattys were the very cheap frozen kind that where very thin. Food was way too salty, eggs were way over cooked and overall just a bad lunch. Our drinks were given to us and they had no ice in them. When we asked for ice they told us that they don't have ice? When I asked for a glass of water they said they had tap water!!!
