Went to this flower shop to pick out an arrangement for a birthday. I was assisted by Becky who was extremely helpful. I picked out an arrangement and she helped me customize the arrangement by showing me their other available flowers. She added the additional flowers to the arrangement, wrapped them up beautifully, and added a beautifully handwritten message on the paper which held the flowers. The real name of this buisness is Ana's Flowers. The yelp* name, May Flowers, is incorrect... This is a nice corner-side florist located in the Norwalk Town Square. It's the buisness right underneath the iconic Norwalk Town Square signage. You can get a really nice, premade bouquet for about $15. There are plenty of florist extras to choose from, too, from stuffed animals, cards, balloons, and coffee mugs. I'm not sure about average pricing for the extras, since I never get them. Just the flowers, thank you!!! When I had my impromptu courthouse civil marriage, I ordered flowers from here. I went in the morning of and gave my order of bouquets, corsages, and bouttonieres. When I returned in the afternoon, all of my flowers were ready and gorgeous!!! My mom paid for the flowers :-) so I couldn't tell you how much they were. I didn't get all fancy (I choose white carnations and a few white roses) so the price wasn't over the top. I ordered an arragnement for my grandfather's funeral. The arrangement was medium sized and came out beautifully! The arrangement was under $100 which was nice as the cost of a funeral is so high. I was just glad that I was able to find something affordable that could make my grandpa's funeral beautiful. The only thing I could say would need improvement is the store. It's a little cluttered and messy looking but I guess that's how you keep affordable prices. read more

I send flowers multiple times a year and for the first time tried Ana's and it will ABSOLUTELY be the last time. I placed the order online and gave the date for my daughters birthday and they said it would be no problem to deliver the gift to my daughter. Supposedly they said they couldn't get through the Gate when they tried to deliver, so instead of calling my daughter or myself, they just pulled off the delivery. So the next day I found out from my son in law that they never showed up, I called Ana's and they said they promised it would be day 2, I gave them the "new gate code" and again they said they couldn't get the flowers now that I had paid for, Assorted bouquet of Multi Color Tulips. Day 3 came around more bull shit excuses, so I finally just asked them to cancel the order and I would make it up to my daughter in another way. So Ana's apologized and credited my account and then on to insisted that they send a bouquet at no cost and I told them " No please don't send anything, I didn't want anything for free" Well this is what they sent anyway to my 32 yr old daughter from het father for her birthday 4 days late..... My daughter sent me a photo and when I saw what was delivered I was furious. I usually spend around 200.00-250.00 for a nice bouquet of flowers to my adult daughters and 100.00 -150.00 arrangements to my grand children, on there special day, or Valentines, etc. I was extremely upset and let them know how I felt, I could really never talk to anyone at a manager level and was given a very un-sincere apology. I needed a bouquet last minute and my husband told me to come here. He had been there a few times and liked their flowers, but it had been a while. I wish I didn't listen to him because I was not happy with my experience. I parked in the parking lot and followed the HUGE sign with red writing that said ENTRANCE. As soon as I get inside a man very rudely tells me that I'm supposed to come in from the opposite side. The only reason why I'm giving 2 stars is because the cashier lady was pretty nice. HE HAS BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, OVERPRICED, AND DISHONEST. I usually go to Cristinas Precious Flowers but since my mom lives 3 blocks from this place I stopped by here. I wanted to get her flowers and a plush animal just because she's been soo helpful with my pregnancy. The man that helped me seemed bothered because I wanted to get an arrangement made, my mom's favorite flowers are orchids and it's not my fault he didnt have orchid arrangements on display. I ignored his bad attitude and foochie face, maybe he had a lot of things to do so I ignored it. What REALLY bothered me was I forgot the little bear I payed for and I realized when I parked at my moms, I turned around and went back to ask for it and he said I took it. I looked everywhere in my car!! Mind you it was like a 5 min turn around from leaving the shop and coming back. Really pricey arrangements, even a small bouquet will set you back at least $16 + Tax. By small I mean literally : 2 roses, a lot of single petal mums (some dyed an unnatural shade of blue) & three carnation blooms, with a lot of greenery, wrapped in clear plastic and tied with a single strand of curly ribbon in a bow - no trailing ribbons - VERY BASIC). Stopped here in a rush, and the gentleman seemed quite unhappy about the intrusion in his afternoon. Friendly enough but not helpful enough, you know? I was there when a young man came in looking also for a simple arrangement - Now why the store attendant would point to the $45-60 arrangements to a teenager? It seems to me to be a bit like driving away the business. I told the kid to get a bouquet made just like what I had just purchased (one of three ready made bouquets at the time I was there). Maybe the store attendant is an employee or just slumming but that's not great customer service. Two stars because I came in on my own and like flowers. They did have nice arrangements but not good service. They do advertise pricier floral arrangements for special needs - weddings, funerals. Hopefully, those of you who've written reviews will see this. I am the daughter of the owner and I apologize if you had bad service or we were unable to help you. I will try and address all the issues mentioned in the reviews here: 1. Our flowers may seem a little overpriced (especially during Mother's Day and Valentine's) but we do have to raise the prices because of the raised prices at the flower market. Yes, if you make the drive up to LA to the flower market, the flowers won't seem that expensive compared to what we're selling them for, but we have to raise the price in order to pay our employees as well as cover any flowers that are broken or damaged on the way back or if we damage them while making arrangements. 2. Many of you complained about our customer service, and I apologize for that. I will see if we can make any changes and will discuss it with the staff. What would be helpful for me as well as my parents would be if you could be specific in how our employees did not provide good service. Most of the reviews have been very general and it would be appreciated if the issues were addressed directly rather than say, "They have bad customer service" and end the review. 3. If you have received damaged or dead flowers, we apologize for that. We do try and give our customers refunds or remakes if possible to make up for it. It is frustrating when someone asks you for proof when you're already quite irritated, but it is very necessary for us to ask you for pictures. We've had a number of people rip us off by asking for new flowers saying the ones they ordered had died immediately or that the flowers were damaged. We just want to make sure that it is true just like other businesses. 3. For those of you who've used the website, I am sorry if you've had a bad experience. We are still in the process of fixing up the website and adding more information. We apologize if you did not get a proper refund and did not get the appropriate flowers asked for. 4. We do not control the quality of the flowers. Unfortunately, the vendors at the flower market do not always give us the flower brands that we would like and many of the brands (roses especially) are not as high quality as others. 5. We deliver things that are about 40-50 dollars because of gas and the payment of the driver. For those of you who live in Norwalk or in the LA area, you know that gas prices are pretty high along with high tax. 6. For pre-orders, we do try and make it on time. There are one in a while instances where we are late on orders and so we apologize for that. To make sure that you get it on time, make sure to put a time that you want it done. 7. For most of the week, we usually only have one to two people working at the shop. If we receive a major order, our service may be slower or we may not be able to help you at all. Blowing up balloons or making a small arrangement may seem like a small deal, but if we are on a tight schedule, it is sometimes necessary for us to turn down customers. 8. The pre-made bouquets are really all we'll make during the busy seasons (Valentine's and Mother's Day). We are unable to make custom bouquets because our workers need to spend the majority of their time making more arrangements. If you come to us during any other time, we should be able to accommodate you, but otherwise, it takes too much time away from what we have set. I did an online search for a florist in a small California town in order to send a bouquet to a relative. Ana's name popped up and I assumed they were a local business. I called and ordered a $69. bouquet, free delivery included. The person I ordered from told me I would receive an invoice via email. The invoice never came, then I received my credit card statement with a bill for $103. The flowers were delivered on time and I was told by my family they were beautiful. The lack of invoice at the time of my order combined with the 50% mark-up in the price I was quoted by Ana's over the phone is reason enough for me never to do business with Ana's again. read more

We needed a corsage for our daughters prom, apparently nowadays it's cool to go in groups of friends with no specific dates, with that in mind we went the same day, the gentleman that helped us was very helpful to find something he could make that complemented her dress color and it was ready within the hour! Walked in the weekend before Valentines, unfortunately we needed a funeral arrangement delivered ON valentines day. We browsed through a book and picked one WAY lower in price than what we saw online from proflowers and 1800 flowers and such, so we weren't expecting much. The staff was super helpful and quick even though they were SUPER busy. When we got to the mortuary we were seriously BLOWN AWAY the arrangement was absolutely beautiful and HUGE we were so happy! we will definitely use them again and hopefully for a happier occasion next time! read more

Very nice flower shop in the Norwalk Town Square. I came in to order a small arrangement (3 two-tone roses w/ baby's breath). The guy helping me made sure to give me the freshest roses. Originally I requested red-yellow but he said they were not fresh. I really do appreciate the guys honesty because he could of just sold me those roses to get rid of them. I went with pink-white. The flowers were very nicely arranged. This may be my go to florist when I am in this part of town. Btw they are open 7 days closing @ 8pm on Sat & @ 5pm on Sunday. read more

I came here last minute on Valentine's Day and was expecting to either get some ugly leftovers or be charge some ridiculous prices (as this has happened to me before) to my surprise not only was there a great selection of roses the prices were nothing outrageous considering it was Valentine's Day. The web page advertised Thanksgiving arrangements up to forty per cent off. I got one dollar off of a $49 bouquet. FREE DElivery which meant not paying $9.99. I ordered a beautiful Pumpkin Spice arrangement, went through all of the process including my credit card information and just when I was ready to push the order button, I noticed a $15.99 Service and Handling fee. I called the store and complained that this was not acceptable. I was told that I could "Get my order for $55". This was to be sent to my grandaughter who is in the hospital for one month. Her parents had arranged a Thanksgiving dinner and I was providing the table flowers. She sent me a picture of the bouquet. It consisted of three red carnations, three daisies and some baby breath and a RED RIBBON. The three dollar card I paid for was a regular little card with butterflies and the message was scribbled. Thanksgiving was spelled Thanks Giving. There was nothing fall or Thanksgiving about the whole thing. I called early Wednesday before the holiday and asked for a refund or replacement. I sent the pictures to the store. I received a message saying I would get an eight dollar refund. I am turning this over to my credit card company. I've been here twice, and both times it was the same poor service. 1st time, they didn't want to take my order because "they had too many orders to make." Stupid. 2nd time, I asked for a bouquet for my wedding, and they couldn't do it because there wasn't enough time to order it, yet it was about 2 months prior. Dumb. At 4:30 the afternoon of delivery I was notified that it would cost another $20.00 to deliver my chosen bouquet and it would take another day. I said forget it, I will pick a different arrangement for delivery in 2 days. I chose another arrangement and on 4:30 of that new delivery date, I was notified that it would cost another $20.00 to fill my order and it could not be delivered that day. I ordered an arrangement from friendly & helpful staff at Ana's Flowers for a Memorial we were holding at the residence in close proximity to the store. I chose a large spray to be delivered. The delivery came early which was much appreciated (delivered with friendly service!) and the arrangement was so beautiful --over and beyond what I thought I ordered and certainly beyond what I had expected! This florist does not deliver for orders under $50, even if once all the fees and taxes are paid the order comes out to $55 and up! Note however, they do not tell you this while purchasing your order online. I went through the whole process of ordering, payment, got a confirmation, and then later order was canceled because they supposedly "were out of stock." My order was a small, but sweet bouquet in a basket, and it was going to be sent to my elderly and sick aunt, who lives close to the business. When I called to see if they can put something else together (as they offered to in their cancellation notice), they had already canceled my credit card payment and advised me,"they don't really do deliveries for under "$50!" Why not tell me this to save me the trouble and time of ordering!!??? Maybe I would have purchased something a bit higher priced.
