The south Reno location is convenient for me so I was excited when they had opened. The location has a cute indoor area that is larger than the one on Wells and nice outdoor area as well. While there are fair number of parking spots, the lot is a little tight and can be tricky. My favorite drink is the mojito. It is super fresh and light. I like to get it without sugar since I like the tartness. I recently tried the potato appetizer. The flavors were unique and delicious and the portion quite large. That is the thing with the items, the prices can look high but you get a lot. My friend and I usually end up splitting the el pastor shrimp tacos. I have seen some reviews mentioning they are too oily, but mine are usually good, or I might take some of the onions off at times. Staff has been friendly and quick to take orders. Even when someone new is training there hasn't been a delay. A trio of salsas come out for the tacos. We often order chips and use some of this. It would be nice if a small basket did come with it. I also do agree with others, it would be nice to have tap water.
As a longtime fan of Ana's, I was thrilled that they opened a second location. They've maintained the same vibe and ambience, the food is just as good, and the service was fast and friendly. I'm impressed with their veggie street tacos every time. Not sure how they do it but there's so much flavor. Some people say it's expensive but prices are on par with places like Mari Chuy's and Mexcal. No complaints - 10/10 recommend.
It's been a while, but my husband was craving Tacos, so we decided to stop by. We sat at the Patio and the weather was warm, so it was very nice. The only thing... being Mexican, in a Mexican Restaurant, I was disappointed with the lack of ambiance, specifically Music. Last time we were here they had ran out of Carne Asada, but luckily, they had some tonight. We had the Carne Asada and the Pastor Street Tacos. Both were good, but my favorite were the Pastor Tacos (make sure they come with pineapple). The service was ok, although it did feel a bit impersonal.
First time trying this location. I have been to the location in midtown before and it's one of my favorites. This location has amazing outdoor seating and cute decor on the inside. Perfect for girl dinner, chips, salsa/guac and margaritas. They also have shade. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We ordered the nachos with chicken and tacos. The nachos are easily enough for 2-3 people or 4 if you are feeling peckish. The cheese sauce was so yummy and the jalapeños add a nice little kick. I tried the Al pastor taco and it was very good. Would probably add salsa next time to add to the flavor. We also ordered the spicy cucumber margarita, less agave. It still came very sweet so had to add water to it, which made it quite refreshing. It was not spicy whatsoever. I also asked for a tajin rim. Absolutely will be coming back, especially for the nachos and the vibes.
Yay!! A New Mexican restaurant in South Reno! Was told about this place last week and immediately tried it. Ordered the street tacos- you have the option of meats, I ordered half chicken and half carnitas- I'm used to only three tacos an order but this place gives six!! Which is great when you have someone to share it with because I wouldn't be able to eat six tacos alone. The carnitas were perfect, a little crispy and not fatty but both my husband and I preferred the chicken personally. Ordered a side of guacamole and queso too and both were really good! I was surprised how much I liked their queso because it didn't look like there was much to it. The chips were also great! Thick and seasoned. So good! I was disappointed they don't offer a pitcher of margaritas but their individual drinks were good. The price of a drink most anywhere you go $15 a glass. There is also patio seating but it was closed off for the season. Looking forward to going back and sitting outside.
Best Mexican food we have had in Reno! We got carnitas and carne asada, both were huge and excellent! These are real street tacos with just onions, cilantro and lime wedges. We got the chips n guacamole and very tasty! Salsa were served in small dishes were very good, tasted fresh. Service was great and friendly. They have margaritas and a decent selection of Tequila. We ate inside but they have a nice porch. We will be back!
I have been spending a lot time in Virginia City, NV visiting family and my boyfriend. We noticed that this place had finally opened up, with Ana's signage having been there for a while showing us what was to come. It replaced a pizza place which I had never tried. We were happy to hear the place had opened and was delicious by word of mouth; and every time we drove by, we could see a lot of cars in the parking lot which was a great sign! As soon as we got a chance, my boyfriend and I stopped in for a nice lunch, after running some errands in town. Right off the bat, I loved the ambience and decor. They had some cute sassy signage and an awesome tequila display. We were quickly seated and given menus, which I had already checked out ahead of time (haha). There were so many delicious options, but we opted to share the six taco plate, chips, and a side of rice and beans. One downside is that we had to pay for the chips, but that seems to be the norm these days and not enough for me to take off a star. We also were given complementary salsas which were very delicious. At first, I thought these were for chips and was confused that we had to purchase chips, but then we realized these were sauces to be poured on whatever tacos we ordered. Now on to the tacos, which we very much enjoyed. We got all six with Al Pastor, which is my boyfriend's favorite. I am new to the Al Pastor game, but it sounded delicious so I wanted to try it. Cue in a new obsession. So good! I loved that it had little pieces of pineapple with the pork. Apparently not all versions come with the pineapple in it. Now I'm looking for Al Pastor on every taco menu. Because I am also obsessed with chips and dipping, we had to purchase the chips and a side of rice and beans. I loved the Spanish rice, especially with the radish slices. The black beans were a bit on the runny side but good. The menu has some really delicious looking options and we would like to come back to try more. It is a little bit on the pricey side, but most things are these days, and I think these tacos are worth it. It's situated right on the Geiger Grade as you are headed up to Virginia City, so I am passing it constantly. I am always seeing it packed with a lot of customers, and I hope it's around for a long time. Definitely check it out if you are a local or visiting!
The Paloma is awesome. The Jamaican is sweet but tasty. The street tacos are flavorful. It's an unusual menu, which is nice to see. It's not a typical reno Mexican restaurant. The staff is great and the view from the deck for sunsets can't be beat. We will be back.!
This little hole in the wall place hands down has the best tacos in the Reno area! Homemade corn tortillas, well seasoned meat, and cocktails that hit the freaking spot, you are not going to be disappointed coming here. Even my 15 month old daughter was chowing down on the chicken quesadilla and she normally doesn't touch chicken, even chicken nuggets!
We went to midtown Ana's several times in the past but it's been awhile, and we've been meaning to come to the new one. Glad we finally made it, it was a good dinner. We both liked our tacos and lemonades. Some things to note is service was a bit strange, we put our order in and then our waitress brought out street tacos to our table... which were not ours and we had literally just ordered from her. There are only a few tables inside and only 3 other parties so that was strange. She was nice though and mistakes happen. The lemonade is expensive even if only by 1$. A big problem for us is no regular water offered, only bottled that you pay for. Sort of like against all rules of life i would think. The tacos, while very good, are SO EXPENSIVE. My birria was 24.99 essentially making each taco over 6.50$ and hubs 22.99 each taco over 7.50$. Yes yes yes I KNOW everything is expensive but it's almost to the point that we wouldn't return as there are a lot of tacos to choose from for much cheaper. I would say this is a good splurge for dinner though. The best deal is probably the street tacos you get 6 for 18.99, up from 14.99 a couple years ago. I would come back to check those out! Restaurant itself is way smaller than I expected seems the kitchen takes up half of it but they made it cute inside and they have a great patio for nice weather.
Sister wanted to get Mexican food for lunch and we did not realize there were two locations. This one is located in South Reno. It's a very small restaurant. We were greeted right when we walked in and was told to choose any table we want. For drinks I got the Spicy Sunset cocktail which was delicious and spicy. For food, we got the 6 street tacos with carne asada and al pastor. Food was good but wasn't amazing. A bit overpriced. The meat was a bit dry. On another note, they charge for water here since they only have bottled water.
My friends wanted to try Ana's. They've been to the one on Wells and they loved it since the one on Wells is not wheelchair friendly we decided on the Geiger Grade location. We got there and the table seemed small so we moved to a bigger table. The Chips and Salas are not complementary so expect to pay $5.99 and refill is $4.99. I had the Tacos Verde which was a chicken flauntas with green sauce with lots of cheese $18.99. You receive 4. My friend had the Taco De Birrita which were 4 large stuffed beef taco's with the sauce on the side $24.99. Her boyfriend had the Volcanes which were filled top high with all source of goodness $20.99. I tried each dish and were all very tasty! The bill came to $150 without tip, so come prepared. They have many Margaritas to pick. We had the Cadillac Margarita, mine had a bug in it so they gave me another one. The place is small but the outside patio would be perfect for summer and the view of MT Rose is stunning.
We were eager to try Ana's second location having loved the food at their Mid-Town location. We went with a large group and the staff were eager to move things around to accommodate. I ordered the Street Tacos, served with Carnitas and Carne Asada. You get 6 tacos so there is no shortage of food. Unfortunately, the Carnitas was salty and very dry. All the salsa on the table could not make this less dry. The Carne Asada was also a bit on the dry side but better than the Carnitas. My friend ordered the Volcanes, which was a Tostada based dish. The plate looked absolutely amazing. My friend seemed to enjoy his meal. While we loved Ana's in Mid-Town, the general consensus at our table was the quality of the food was not the best. A bit on the salty side.

My husband and I were on the south side of town and he was craving street tacos, so we ended up at Ann's Tacos. We decided to split the 6 street taco plate and got 3 carne asada and 3 carnitas, along with a Mezcalita to share. I definitely preferred the carne asada, while my husband was all about the carnitas. He said they totally hit the spot for his street taco craving! The Mezcalita was really good too and went perfectly with the tacos. We also really liked that they have an outdoor patio. It was a nice day, so we were able to sit outside, enjoy our tacos and drink and just hang out for a bit. Overall, a great little stop when you're craving some tacos! read more

Yay!! A New Mexican restaurant in South Reno! Was told about this place last week and immediately tried it. Meh..... Maybe I was hyped up too much for this? Many of my friends have swooned about how good Ana's Tacos are. I've never had to opportunity to eat them so I was really excited to try so, when they opened up in South Reno off Geiger Grade, we couldn't wait to get over there and EAT! We met some friends and they brought their kids with them. We got some chips with pico and they also talked us into some queso as well. The menu was varied but the one thing that I noticed is that you have to order a full plate of tacos (or whatever the entree is). My GF doesn't eat much and lets face it, Mexican food doesn't keep real well for leftovers. It would be nice if you could just order a single, ala carte taco or quesadilla. So, I ordered the Birria tacos, which were tasty but again way too much food for me and hefty in price. My girlfriend ordered the chicken flautas (Taquitos) and they were OK at best. Unfortunately, I can t recall what everyone else had. I do know that the street tacos did look good. The patio is a very cool place to sit and eat. Music was playing and the lighting was nice but they close super early and we happened to be the last table sitting there at a fairly early time on a Friday night. Once again the price point for these were way up there if you ask me. We ended up taking a bunch of food home but then it just got tossed. For 4 adults and two kids the price with a drink for each of the adults and mexican pop for the kids was $285 including tip. This is just way too much for mexican food/Tacos. Sorry but I certainly wont be returning. read more
Happy to see this new addition to our South Reno area, though I was disappointed that my carne asada and carnitas tacos were dry and lacked flavor. Service was great. We ordered take out on this windy weekend day. The restaurant started to get busy at 5pm on a Sunday early afternoon. Great improvement add for South Reno, although I prefer the Wells location much better. Was not able to experience the patio area because of weather. Great service, small, intimate setting. food was dry and lacked flavor, but will not rule out this local option for my favorite street tacos. read more
8/23/25 I waited for the weekend to try the new location.. So happy to have this one nearby, despite the road construction going around the area.. Parking was almost full and no one available in the back.. Busy but was seated inside- Went with the nachos with Al pastor- guac (was extra).. I loved the Al pastor with the pineapple taste!. 4 stars because it had way too much queso.. but overall great! Also got the chicken taquitos- you get 4... Great looking plate- 2 1/2 stars as the chicken was extremely dry-.. all white meat.. I heard another table asking why there were so many flies... and the down side of this visit was all the flies.. there was even a trap on the window.. I think overall was a good experience.. read more
Ana's Tacos is an epic addition to the Geiger Grade area. We have dined here three times and each time the food and service have been outstanding. The food boasts amazing texture and flavors. It's a true delight. I highly recommend their peach margaritas! One isn't enough, two is just right and three it's time to dance. The burrito has incredibly tasty, topped with a delicious cream sauce. Their volcano tacos are absolutely amazing - I could eat them daily. Their tacos evoke the feeling of being in PV Mexico. And their shrimp tacos pack more punch than Jack Paul. The customer service is fantastic. My favorite aspect of the restaurant is they stay true to who they are. read more

We went there the first time yesterday for late lunch. My margarita was very delicious and the decorations on top was so pretty! Our son said that this Horchata was the best he ever had! Our carne asada and birria Tacos tasted really good. Our waitress was super friendly. She even offered Horchata to go for our son. Thank you! We only live a few minutes away. A new place for us to go on our side of town. We love Ana's Tacos on Wonder Street. But we dont get there too often anymore because we are so far away. Now we have one down closer to us! So we had to try them out snd see if they are just as good. And they are! We ordered up our standard Elote and six taco platter. My wife ordered a water and then a cocktail called The Flamingo. I ordered up a Modelo Negra and I decided to "splurge" and get chips and salsa. For the tacos we got the el pastor and the chili verde. So very good. This is a great quality street taco that is elevated from the standard for sure. The elote is addictive and so delicious. The chips and salsa was more of a pico de gallo, and it was very tasty. We did ask how much a refill on the pico would be and he gave it to us for free, which was nice. The modelo was a modello but the Flamingo was pretty darn good. Horchata based rum drink and it was not too sweet. The outside patio is where we decided to sit because the lighting is better and I just didn't feel like being in a small room. The patio is very nice and the shade was working out great. All the tables were already prepped with silverware. He also dropped the house hot sauces off when he showed us to the table. The server was always on the move getting stuff for all three tables that were outside and probably covering the inside of the restaurant too. The price point was a little shocking. The tacos were a little high, but the quality of those made up for the premium pricing. However, looking at the rest of the menu, it's hard for me to justify those price points for a return visit. Especially the cocktail menu. It seems to have been created by someone straight off the plane from NYC. $17-18 for a cocktail in reno at a taco shop? I can get a crafted cocktail at a high end bar here for less than that. The drinks are easily overpriced by 25%. And also when we asked for water. A single bottle of kirkland brand water hit the table with a $1.25 price tag. I'm like huh? $5 for a Mexican Coke? Here's the deal. If you go to almost any other mexican restaurants the prices are going to be similar or less. And for that, you will get chips and salsa at no cost. Will you get that amazing pico? Nope. But then many people don't really care. It's just something that I probably will never get accustomed to, paying for something that is free everywhere else like water and chips and salsa. We probably will go back, just to check out something else on the menu. But it wont be a regular stop for us, more like a splurge when we are really in the mood for some higher end street mexican. And we definitely wont be drinking. read more

Small inside but a large outside patio when the weather is warm. Overall Delish! I got steak and shrimp tacos. Hubs ordered chicken. All amazing. Super filling. We also ordered chips, queso, salsa and guacamole. Hubs had lemonade and I wanted just water. Apparently they only have sparkling. The server went out of her way to get me a flat bottle water which is not normally on the menu. I was so grateful and we tipped well. We will be back. read more
Great spot in S. Reno. Only downside was that they don't have anything on tap. By that , I mean no "tap water". You gotta buy canned soda, beer or bottled water. The Unlimited was $29.99, worth it if you're gonna eat more than 10 tacos. Otherwise, A La Carte is your only option. Service was good, they had two servers/waiters/waitress where we ate (patio) so they had their attention on us. That being said, they'll know if someone on the Unlimited Tacos is sharing w/ someone that's not. The Patio had nice decor and it was a great place to eat. read more

On recommendation from an influencer on Facebook, we tried La Parada Mexican Restaurant in Reno. Loved the decor! The food was very good. The cinnamon coffee was better than we expected. Our server was very friendly and efficient even though it was a very busy Sunday. read more
I used to go to the Ana's Taco Grill on Wells Avenue but now there is a new location in South Reno, closer to my residence. It is located on road 341 (the road going up to Virginia City), not too far from the Summitt Shopping Center. The restaurant has plenty of parking in the front and rear of the restaurant. Although, I went before the dinner rush, I noticed there were busy with many to go orders and still, their service was very good. The restaurant, which also has an outdoor patio was nicely decorated. I had a wonderful experience here; the food was exceptionally good, a bit on the pricier side, but certainly worth it. They offer all-you-can-eat tacos on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which I am very much looking forward to trying. The service was excellent, and our server was incredibly helpful. We didn't know what to expect when we ordered, but it blew us away when it arrived. I ordered the Street Tacos (Pollo and Al Pastor) the plate was huge with 6 Street tacos. My wife ordered the Mar y Tierra and 3 monsterous tacos came out with the best Shrimp and Skirt steak we've had. They have a great Tequila selection, and an authentic modern Mexican ambiance. My wife and I went to the opening night of this new location, which we are so excited to have right down the street from our house! We had a great time enjoying the music and delicious food and drinks! It was very busy but they did a great job getting to everyone. We are so excited that Ana's is finally open and we try to go at least once a week. The ambiance is fun, cozy, and the patio is always great to spend time on. Their service is always outstanding with everyone going above and beyond to take care of us. Far and away their nachos are phenomenal and enough for my hubby and I to share as a meal most nights. Our favorite is the carne asada. We also love their street tacos with Al pastor, carnitas, and carne asada being our favorites. We usually share these as well. The cocktails are really great and we love the Mezcalita and Classica the best. The portions are really large in our opinion which is why I think some may find the prices high. Most nights, we share the nachos and street tacos which is way more than enough food. The one time I got their regular tacos I could only eat 1 as they don't skimp on the size or amount of meat you get in each one. Ana's is a great addition to the neighborhood and I am super grateful we have someplace local and close to home that isn't another chain. read more

Great spot at the bottom of Geiger Grade in the way to Virginia City. Right next to the Old Tyne Saloon, this spot opened up three weeks ago and it's amazing. The staff are very attentive and the ambiance on the inside and outside are awesome. I had the Tacos Guadalajara and the Green Goblin margarita. Usually I'm apprehensive about getting tacos at places because they usually disappoint in size, these did not. I struggled to finish mine and my wife only could eat one. We went at night and the patio was lit up with lights and we were nestled under an umbrella illuminated by the lights above. From the moment we walked up to the moment we walked out, it was a real family feel. Please check out this place and enjoy. read more
