Amy and her assistant were super friendly and the chinese was fresh AND extremely tasty yummy. Delicious local spot for quick meal dine-in or to-go. I was absolutely blown away by how good the food was. Will definitely return. This place is cash only no ATM DEBIT credit cards.

Really slim pickings here. Worst I have ever seen for anything Chinese.

After not going here for a long time, I decided to give it a try again. Nothing has changed here. It's always basically the same, which really isn't that great. After I got about halfway through the sesame chicken, chow mein noodles, and basil chicken, I was really disappointed and threw out the other half of the food to my dismay. The sesame chicken was terribly dry and wanting for some sauce. The noodles were mundane and unappealing. There was no hint of basil in the basil chicken, just plain mediocre at best. The portions of each were skimpy. I really wish they could pick up their act on the cooking side and offer something new every now and then, because this place is just boring and not really very good. You can't even really see who you're talking to behind the counter because they never took down their translucent Covid plastic barrier. So strange and awkward to experience. It would be such a great thing in this town if this place had better food, otherwise it's just taking up space that someone else could be operating.

For fresh hot fried rice, Amy's in Sonoma is the place. And, at $2.99 it is a meal deal.

This is a simple and basic American-Asian food place. The three times I have been here, the food has been fresh, hot-right off the stove, and tasty. Each time I have been in, the aroma has pulled me in. Really, try going by there when they first open and the food is cooking up fresh, it is hard to resist. True, it is not gourmet or anything fancy. But for affordable, yummy food, it is pretty good. The place is clean, the staff is friendly and when I go in, I look for what the chef or cook there does best. The fried rice is good. The fresh made chicken dishes are good. The noodle dishes are good. It seems to me that Amy's specializes in a buffet style. So, all the buffet style places I have ever been to, the one thing that is very important is that customers get there when the food is freshly prepared and served for the lunch time crowds. Go there later on in the day and the food has been on the warming plates for a while. That is why it puzzles me so many reviews complain, when it is just simple food. Get there when the buffet is just serving lunch and food is fresh. And, stay with what the chef does best. For me it is the fried rice. For $2.99 you get a lot on your plate, what more can you ask for? When I go back I will try other dishes. Yet I will make sure I am there when lunch begins and food is fresh, not later on in the day. What else can I say? Be thankful Sonoma that you have an affordable Asian-style food place.

The inside of Amy's! I would recommend the sweet and sour pork if you are a fan of Panda Express orange chicken

I love Amy's! There is not many fast food places in Sonoma and this is great quality for the price and it is so quick.

Located on Lakeville Highway, just east of Hwy 101, it would make a good place to stop for a nice lunch or dinner. I was there on a warm Saturday, at around 11:30 am. The dining room has a contemporary asian decor. The AC kept the air cool and comfortable. There's several 2,4, and 6 seat tables. Just before lunchtime, the place was 1/3 full with customers. I was seated along the wall. I was offered a menu, and choice of hot tea or ice water. I asked for chopsticks, because the place setting had a fork. I ordered the Mongolian Beef lunch plate w/ fried rice. Also, I asked for an order of (Lightly Breaded) Fried Prawns. Service was excellent. My waiter was very attentive, and served my food as soon as it was ready. He told me if there were any delays. I didn't have to ask for anything. The Fried Prawns were large and plump. They were served with various sauces to choose from. The Mongolian Beef lunch plate had a nice presentation. The portion size was fair. The fried rice was moist, and blended well with the Mongolian Beef. The Mongolian Beef was spicy and tasted just right. Hot 'n Sour soup came with the lunch plate. Lily Kai's recipe for hot 'n sour soup is a little different than what you might get in most other chinese restaurants. They make it with alot of mushrooms. The familiar flavor was there, but it lacked several expected ingredients. Well, as long as it tasted good, I'm okay with it. ----------------------------------------------- So I had a great first time experience here. The plaza has a free shared parking lot. There's a Starbucks Coffee shop in the same plaza. Also, this place is down the street from the Kaiser Medical Offices. Also, they have clean and large restrooms. Lily Kai is in the Adobe Creek Center at Lakeville Hwy & South McDowell Blvd.

We ate enough to not be hungry but didn't save our leftovers. :( The hot & sour soup, spring rolls and general's chicken all had odd/off flavors. The chicken itself wasn't high quality meat (to be fair it wasn't the worst, just below average). The garlic prawns, honey walnut prawns, and deluxe vegetables weren't bad. But that's not enough to overcome the disappointment of the other dishes.

The food is incredibly authentic, and the service is absolutely outstanding. I've already been here two weekends in a row! The first weekend, the selection was a little limited, but this weekend they added so many more dishes, which made the experience even better. And the weekend deal is honestly unbelievable--only $30 for all-you-can-eat dim sum, plus unlimited mimosas or house wine! You really can't beat that. It's surprisingly hard to find dim sum this authentic with service this friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be coming back again and again. They also have Peking duck, which I haven't tried yet. That's definitely on my list for my next visit. I can't wait!

Besides the beautiful outdoor dining courtyard, the inside houses a sports bar, a VIP dining room, and a casual dining rooms for your selection. As a conneseur of fine, authentic Chinese food, the menu was very impressive. When you see chicken feet on the menu, you know it's authentic! In addition to the chicken feet, we also ordered the Peking duck, mapo tofu, and a few different types of dim sum. (Sorry I wasn't able to post any photos. But I did notice that the menu we saw had a little more than what other customers posted on Yelp.). Bottom line, the food was simply fantastic. Chef's kiss!!! Last, but not least, the staff is phenomenal. We were waited on by 3 different employees, each of whom gave impeccable service. Although all 3 were great, we have to give a special shout out to Jesse. He shared his creativity with us from his delicious cocktail creations to his AI-generated memory photos, which IMO would be any customer's novel reminder of their wonderful dining experience at Empress M.
