Some of the absolute best donuts in Columbus (Buckeye Donuts also has my heart)! If you're looking for some unique donuts, this is the place for you. This is also a GREAT place for kids. They have sooooo many choices and something for everyone. I had such a hard time only picking a dozen of their delicious donuts. My favorites were definitely the pumpkin spice, apple pie glaze, and PB&J! I also love that they give you the option to customize the filling for the filled donuts (Bavarian creme, white creme, dulce de leche, strawberry, raspberry, and lemon). read more

I have been curious about this place for awhile so I decided to give it a try. First, I would like to mention that the prices here are astronomical. 10 dollars for a half dozen is ridiculous. I've been to cute little gourmet shops downtown and would purchase a full dozen for less than 15 bucks. That being said, I could have passed based on the price but I decided to fork over the extra cash because a few in the display case did look very enticing . They have several cases of donuts to choose from, Traditional, Long Johns, Glazed next is Cake Donuts and then the last case is Gourmet. The Gourmet donuts start at $1.99 a piece. I am not a fan of all the extra garbage on a donut, so nothing in the gourmet case looked appealing to me, expect for the chocolate frosted with sprinkles which I don't consider to be "Gourmet" in any right. I ordered the The chocolate glazed with sprinkles (aka The Chief Wiggam), some triple chocolate cake, plain glazed and a strawberry. I found these donuts to be overtly sweet. I spit out the Chief Wiggam, I did not care for that one at all. It was insanely sweet not to mention the chocolate glaze was not set on either of the chocolate covered donuts so it made it extremely messy. If I'm going to wreck my diet on a donut, that one certainly wasn't going to be it. I nibbled on the glazed and also found it to be too sweet. I did not try the rest because I assumed that they would continue the trend and send me down a road to on-set diabetes. If you love super sugary sweets and crazy cereal covered donuts, then sure this is the place for you. But I have found many other donut shops like Buckeye Donuts to be far superior and less expensive. read more

This place is waaay better than a freagin Dunkin Donuts AND Krispy Kreme's! The drive thru is open 24/7 which is convenient when you have the munchies at midnight haha! What a cool donut spot! They had so many delicious ideas for each of the many donuts they make. The presentation was really awesome! I wanted to buy them all and put them on display, so I would have needed to buy 2 of each! One for eating and one to showcase! But I'd do it! The taste of the donut was very good, they all seemed to be a glazed donut that was just decorated, but they have yumtastic flavors with the frostings so it actually didn't just taste like a plain glazed donut. I really enjoyed the donuts here and would swing back through to try more and suggest you give it a shot next time your in the area! read more

Well, that was delicious! So delicious that I accidentally went from eating one or two, to all six donuts in one sitting. Let the obesity and diabetes commence! This place is new and they have 30+ possible donut flavors to choose from. When I went in there on a random weekday early afternoon, there was still a line of people; that's how popular it is! The price was really reasonable at $8 for a half dozen ($15 for a dozen) of their assorted flavors. It's well worth it to grab exactly what you want and eat all of it (just not regularly, or see my earlier sentence regarding obesity/diabetes!) There's plenty of parking in their private lot as well. Make sure you check their Facebook page to make sure they haven't sold out, if you go later in the day. Unfortunately, it's way out on the west side, far away from everything except the casino, so it will likely be a once or twice a year treat rather than a regular staple. read more

Oh.my.goodness. These donuts. The variety. The quality. It's everything you could want. I walked in (a former Taco Bell) and was greeted with a giant set of display cases FULL of donuts. Not just any donuts - ALL THE DONUTS. Obviously, the staff recognized the dumbfounded look on my face and waved me into the store. They were super-nice and explained the layout of their offerings - they knew I would want to have this information for subsequent trips. You'll see lots of donuts here with tons of toppings. Fear not - the donuts themselves are good, and the less-decorated offerings are housed near the fancy stuff. They make the filled donuts and cereal-topped donuts for you to order - sweet cream, custard, raspberry, chocolate, etc. for fillings and lots of cereal options. Confession - I've already been here twice. The first time, I got the lowdown, but since I was alone, could only pick one. The Biscoff was excellent, not too goopy and great donut base. I also got a little bag of donut holes (they are $1 and why not?) and left happy. I planned a bit better for the second trip, and got a dozen donuts to take back to the office. Everyone loved them, especially the red velvet and Elvis donuts. If you're on the far west side, definitely take the side trip to Amy's - you won't regret it. Super-yum. read more

Creative, fresh, tasty, lots of options, and friendly employees. What's not to like? I don't typically have a sweet tooth, but found myself in the area on Sunday so I stopped by to treat the kids. There is a huge assortment of donuts to choose from. I opted for the maple bacon, the wife got a strawberry cheesecake, and the kids ordered an apple fritter and zebra donut. Throw in 2 pints of milk and the total was $9.20. The donut themselves are airy similar to Krispy Kreme glazed donuts. The family wasn't in a sharing mood, but my donut tasted very fresh. The bacon and maple of course went together well, and they didn't skimp out on either topping. The closest thing to constructive criticism is that the wife would have liked more slices of fresh strawberry. I was there around 11am on Sunday and it wasn't too busy at all. They also didn't appear to be out of anything. read more

I seriously adore this place! They have a fantastic variety of donuts, you will find one you like. The only thing I want to complain about is how incredibly rude some of your staff is. I didn't know what donut was what, so I asked the girl and she told me "I don't know" and the entire time she serviced me she didn't make eye contact with me at all. I asked her if she could find what kind of donut it was and she literally told me that she couldn't. She made me know that I was an annoyance to her. I absolutely understand that you guys did not expect such a big crowd of customers, but it seems like the staffs attitudes aren't really getting any better. I get that it is frustrating for the staff to constantly service customers because of how busy you are, because I am sure they are exhausted - but it is starting to not be a good enough excuse. The 4/5 rating I have given is strictly because of the quality of the donuts. If I were strictly rating for customer service I would have given a 2/5 at best. read more

New donut champs I saw something for Amy's on facebook and the donuts on the ad looked delicious so I had to try them out in person. I was not ready. Upon entering I was floored by the sheer volume of gourmet donut offerings. 3 large cases of different donuts all unique. The donuts with filling they fill as you order them! I have tried the maple bacon fudge, red velvet, kit kat, and vanilla sprinkle donuts so far. All fantastic. They are not cheap (gourmet donuts are 1.50 each) but well worth it. read more

Lots of decorated cake and yeast donuts. Much much more fresh than Buckeye which I tried yesterday. $1 for a bag of 12 soft glazed donut holes. Most of the donuts are around $1.99 each. For 5 donuts and holes I paid around $10. The lady Isabelle (?) who took my order didn't speak much English and messed up which donuts I wanted which stinks. Other than that the food was good! Open 24/7 apparently but I went around 8am. read more

No lie, Amy's Donuts are THE BEST DONUTS EVER!!! We arrived on a Saturday at about 4:00pm and the million different choices of donuts in the counters were fully stocked, plus there were tons of complimentary donut holes available to sample so that was a great way to start the visit. The staff were beyond friendly, warmly greeting us as we entered plus explaining various things as we tried to narrow down our choices. I absolutely LOVE that the round and long john donuts are prepared empty so you can pick which cream or jelly you want it filled with and they do it on the spot -- and they fill them UP to the gills! I ended up getting a maple long john and a round donut with peanut butter on top, both filled with white cream. The cream was even better than Krispy Kreme's, the maple and peanut butter spreads on top of both donuts were creamy and delicious, and the donuts were the softest, chewiest, freshest donuts I have EVER had in my life! The girl who filled them up definitely knew what she was doing because every bite was full of that delicious white cream -- no skimping at all which is hard to find nowadays. I gotta say it again, these cream filled donuts were literally the best I've ever had and I already can't wait to make the hour long drive again just to get more of these. My husband is much more simple and just ordered a donut with maple glaze and crushed peanuts on top. His verdict was the same as mine: soft yet chewy, quality toppings, amazing taste. We also split an apple fritter which just didn't blow me away but I'm not a fritter lover I guess. It was much more dense and almost hard, and I was hoping for little chunks of apple but there were none. I must say that Amy's Donuts is in a horrible location. Super shady people are constantly roaming the streets and one almost pushed me out of the way just to grab a handful of sample donut holes and then immediately left without saying a word. Besides Hollywood Casino, everything in this part of Columbus looks old, abandoned and almost scary...so I'm really hoping Amy's amazing donuts can get a bunch of regular customers hooked enough to keep her in business so I can visit again every few months. Overall, we ended up falling in love with Amy's Donuts and ESPECIALLY those white cream filled long johns...I want more right now!!! read more

A dizzying array of colorful, sweet deliciousness! I had heard so much about this place and didn't think it would live up to the hype, but it totally did. I'm fairly picky when it comes to donuts, but did not have any problem pleasing my palate, given their HUGE selection. Awesome place to take the kids for a weekend treat. A lot of fun donuts to choose from, whether that means presentation, flavor, or a little of both. I usually get the peanut butter Nutella donut when I come here with someone. My first taste of this place =pure joy. The worst thing about this place is that it takes about 2-3extra minutes of drive time to get to work. I have to off on Broad going east instead of west. I have only had one donut but it was a Bavarian cream delight. I loved the warm gooeyness of the donut. Nothing was dry, coffee and milk not needed. You can choose from 5-6 creams to fill your donut. I have never seen this option before and I love it. Plus a free donut hole to sample while you wait. Love the concept and I loved my donut even more. read more

The selection of donuts is HUGE and they still deliver on freshness and taste. The line was out the door the entire time we were there, but the staff did a nice job keeping things moving. Last weekend we got a dozen to split with another couple. We each picked 3 and then cut each donut into 4 so we could try a wide array. We even sat down with little scorecards so we could compare notes. I know...nerds. We all concluded that the old fashioned were on the dry side and the ones like blueberry cake needed another trip under the glazer because they were lacking a bit. My personal faves were Lord of the Pretzels. Maple Crumb and Biscoff Crumb. We've since tried the white cream filled long johns and rounds. Holy hell!!! Given how my childhood donut shop has been dropping the ball lately, it's good to know we'll still be able to get amazing long johns. I'm keeping one star off until they add peanut butter cream for filling. Since we've got Buckeye and the Pirate and it sounds like KK is going to bring it overseas, you need to keep up with the PB cream Joneses. When that becomes a regular thing, I'll glad go 5 stars all the way! :-) read more

When this place opened I was excited to try it. Like most places, I give more than one chance. My first time trying it, I thought to myself that I must be in a mood because I didn't see what the big fuss was about. I would say probably because of the newness and bright colors (which are nice and stand out well). The concept is pretty dope- to have all these donuts with toppings. However, the donuts are the same glazed donuts as any other place that look pretty with toppings. I feel like it has to potential to be so much more. That being said, parking is great. It's easy to find and customer service was very much acceptable. I am huge in customer service. read more

Our first visit to Amy's Donuts did not disappoint! After hearing about Amy's for months (but not having a chance to visit as we live on the other side of town), my husband and I were finally able to swing by for breakfast while in the area. The building itself looks as if it was a Taco Bell in a prior life and it's fun to see how they've adopted the space and made it their own. We decided to order a 1/2 dozen assorted donuts ($9) and coffee ($2.25 or so). As a frugal gal, the prices were a bit steep for me, but as this is a once and a while splurge, we didn't feel too guilty. For donuts we ordered a long John with barvarian cream, strawberry old fashioned, blueberry cake, Bischoff cookie butter, chips ahoy, and Elvis donut. They were ALL delish, though my personal favorite was probably the cookie butter donut. I liked that you're able to choose for fillings for the long john! Also, as an avid coffee-drinker, I really enjoyed my coffee! I was expecting maxwell house quality, but was very pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be back!! read more

So the main reason i stopped in here was the name. I'm mean i have to have an Amy's donut right?! I got an assortment of donuts for my coworkers. To start off, the location is a mess. It's in a "developing" neighborhood. You can't walk to or from anywhere because it's not safe due to all he cars, traffic, and construction around the shop. The construction and opening of the restaurant seems lazy and rushed. It's also not that clean. Seems kinda messy to me. FOOD. The doughnuts were good about a year ago. Tried them again and they were, to be frank, gross. Sloppily made and served. They're colorful but the ingredients are NOT fresh. Don't get anything with fresh fruit because odds are, it's been sitting out too long and the flies probably got to it. One thing I will give them credit for is the doughnut holes. They're decent. The presentation overall brought down my score because it's not an appetizing place to eat or be served at. The "plates" are literally just styrofoam take out boxes and brown paper bags. Took too long to try Amy's Donuts, but I'm so glad we did!! For years, this was an old abandoned Taco Bell, but I'm so happy to see that the building has been repurposed and colorfully designed. The exterior colors are so fun!! I didn't expect the 6-7 cases full of donuts, ever flavor you could ever imagine!! Even at 27 yrs old, it took me right back to the excitement of getting donuts as a child; was such a great experience!! The customer service and the products are both 5/5, so good!!!
