This company would come for servicing our elevator whenever it wanted to (rarely). We terminated their services in writing years ago, yet they keep billing us for years including the last two years. I have talked with someone in their a billing department three times over the last 3 years, and they say they will cancel the account. Then someone new takes over the billing account and the billing process starts all over again. We are going to sue them for harassment. read more

If I could give Zero stars I would. We pay this company a monthly fee to keep the elevator maintained. This past year we had to call them back 4 times to fix the elevator. They are not transparent in their invoice about what was repaired so there are no warranties we can see. After their 2nd repair attempt, there was an accident that sent one of the tenants to the hospital with a serious injury requiring surgery. They've had to come out 2 more times after that. They will tell you they dont have repair technicians during regular work hours but they can send someone after hours, and they charge $1000 an hour. And even though they are a local company, they charge $2000 for just the drive time. Furthermore, they are unresponsive to questions about the invoices. Avoid them at all cost. read more

Amtech company service is horrible. Our elevator is shutdown over 3weeks. I called to Amtech everyday. But they never responded . Also we using Amtech like 10yrs. But They don't even know what kind of elevator factor it is. We have been receiving routine services for nearly 10 years. In conclusion, one routine service so far has been just a formality, and it means that you've thrown away $700 every three months. read more

Amtech came out today to fix our elevator which was completely broken. After they left, I tested it and it still doesn't work correctly. You can call it from the ground floor, the second floor, or the third floor, but if you're on floor number one and you press the button the elevator will not come to you. No lights light up and there's no sound the door will not open etc. They were just here five hours ago you would think they would've tested it properly before they left. I called them to let them know, but the person on the phone just kept saying well that I had to go through a management company and I was just a tenant. I said don't you even care that your guys were here five hours ago and it still doesn't work and they left? But he wouldn't do anything to help me so I'm leaving this bad review so everyone else can know about their rotten customer service. The man on the phone was named Juan and all he did was argue with me, saying that I wasn't a manager of the building so he wasn't going to even bother to talk to the technicians or enter anything into the log or call the guys who were just here five hours ago. He refused to do anything and just kept repeating over and over that since I wasn't a manager he wasn't going to do anything for me. I thought he was rude inconsiderate and then he didn't care at all he had no common decency. read more

This company sucks. They know they suck. Giving them one star is more then they deserve. Five times in one month the elevator was out of service for several days each time. It's a multi-level building with elderly people that struggle going up one flight of stairs never mind five, but this company doesn't give a damn. Why they haven't been sued for breach of contract is beyond me, and one a gain the elevator has been own since the middle of this past week. The people collecting the trash must drag massive trash bags down several flights of stairs It's always they "need a part for this", they "need a part for that", then the elevator works for a few days them it goes out of service. If they had to fix a bar-stool with a missing screw, they'd probably say that they have to order a part.. The company sucks, they know they suck, yet they don't care. Doesn't do business with them, they just want your money and the ability to say they have customers with long-term contracts. This company would probably sue Yelp for defamation of character, but this elevator company has no character. Don't do business with them. read more

We currently had a major renovation to our elevator hydraulic system. A big, messy and complicated project. Amtech could not of been more professional or thorough. The mechanics paid attention to every detail and were careful to properly protect the building. They finished on the exact date given to us at the start and left the building spotless. They are a union shop. Could you pay less? probably, could you get better value for your money? probably not. Nothing is more costly or worrisome than a construction project gone "bad" I have been a licensed contractor for 40 years and know of what I speak. read more

This is a company you want to stay away. incompetent, rude and poor customer service. The elevator in our condo has been working only 24 hours in past 7 days. Everyday I see a sign that "the elevator is temporarily out of service". The temporary problem has not been fixed for past one week. This morning when I saw the technicians working on the elevator asked if it was going to be fixed today. The answer was that they are working and if they can not fix it then it would not be fixed today. (kiddin me!). He added that they are off for the weekend and the service will be postponed to next week. They cared less about having a disabled person in the building who is wheelchair-bound. Customer service is not better either. I left my number to receive a call from a supervisor but no calls yet. Do a favor to yourself and stay away. Do not be fooled with their website. Take your business to another company, save time (and money). I saw another poor review on the web with the same experience. I'm very disappointed with their service, competency and professionalism. Amtech services the elevator in our condominium building in Santa Monica. They could not be worse. No one ever returns a phone call. Not our account rep, not the account rep's boss, not our mechanic. If and when a mechanic does come out, we are not informed, so there's no way we can ever talk to anyone about our situation. The mechanic sneaks in, does whatever he does, and leaves without our knowledge. We wait months for small repairs. Our elevator has been nonfunctional for the last four days. It went out on Christmas Eve and we had to call the fire department for help, as our garage was filling with smoke. Do not under any circumstances, use this company! read more

The response to my service call was fast and the Tech was on point and had the problem fixed with in 30 minutes. I'm happy with the service.
