The food was exceptional as well as the service. It was fast and the waiters were all very sweet.

Drove an hour to come here and it was worth it. Food was delicious, good music and great service!!! Definitely coming back

Great food. Manager called and took care of me. I am very happy with how he handled the situation. The food is really amazing.

Great Indian cuisine and serving staff. Always try to have a meal here whenever we're passing thru the Ocala Area!

Ocala does not boast many Indian restaurants and I believe this is the only one that offers chicken/lamb non vegetarian options. We tried the chicken tikka masala with chili naan and pakoras. Everything was delicious and fresh. I introduced a friend to Indian for the first time and let's just say she was addicted to tikka masala and butter chicken from here on. There's a good selection of alcoholic drinks. The mango lassi is good. The dessert unfortunately left a lot to be desired. The mango cheesecake was basically frozen and the rice pudding was way too watery for my taste. I highly recommend trying this place for dinner, but have dessert at home maybe. read more

Great atmosphere, staff, and curry. I've been multiple times and will continue to go to this restaurant for the authentic experience.

I was driving back from Orlando and I got sucked in by their billboard advertising on the highway. They have repainted the outside and purchased a new sign and menus. It's reassuring when you see all the trip advisor awards from days long gone. I don't know if the place changed owners or what but as someone who has eaten the curries of little India in New York this food is terrible. I remember stopping here on road trips and having a great lunch 3 -4 years ago. Tonight the sauces taste like they came from a foil pouch sold at the Indian grocery behind the restaurant. Maybe locals have no clue what fresh tastes like. I ordered palak paneer & Chicken tikka masala. They are priced around $15 each. The tray was tiny. The tikka masala had 6 pieces of cubed chicken and large squares of bell pepper to make the dish appear more hearty and well portioned. The paneer was pure white and luke warm it was flavorless. It spent no time at all in the palak sauce which is normally my favorite dish. The sauce was dreadful with an odd prepackaged after taste. For like $3 you can go buy it and make it yourself exactly the same as they are selling it here. Maybe these reviews are from people that are utterly clueless about how good indian food tastes when the owner isn't cheap. So to you I say if you are in Gainesville try Tikka Express or India Cusine buffet then you will realize this is very bland and low quality. I tried something called indian soda. This was shady because the name of the soda isn't available and it tasted like a repulsive version of sprite, it was more like margarita mix with tonic water, which ends up tasting a lot like alkaseltzer which was needed. Riata was very sweet it was however the only freshly made item on our table. The garlic naan was decent and I had to fill up on it. Normally I pour the sauce over rice and clean my plate but it was too icky. So we picked out the chicken and plain paneer 3 pieces each and left dissatisfied. The owner had zero effs to give about his gross sauce as long as you pay he doesn't care if the quality is poor. Rip Off! If you are on the highway reading this don't stop here wait until you reach Gainesville. There are authentic places this is not one of them. I would rather eat Amy's frozen palak paneer than this junk let that sink in because that isn't authentic it's an Americanized version of the dish and it's better than theirs! read more

Amrit is by far the BEST Indian food ever. I'm hooked on the dal and eggplant dishes. Their onion chutney is fantastic-I could eat it with a spoon! The papadam is excellent. Their onion kulch (bread) is to die for. The dal soup is awesome. Wish I could give them a million stars. Love love love this place. If I lived closer I'd eat there 3 times a week or more. If you're in the area, try it. You won't be disappointed. Back for an awesome lunch. Tried a different dish today. The potatoes with creamed spinach and curry spices recommended by the waiter. He said it is good. Well, he lied - it is outstanding! I would totally get it again. The dal soup is always awesome but today it was out of this world. Full of great flavor and the ginger stood out. Absolutely fantastic. I love this place. Fantastic food, great service and good prices. read more

Surprisingly good food. I highly recommend them if you like Indian food. They have an extensive menu and great atmosphere.

The food, the atmosphere, and the service are top notch! We make it a habit to eat lunch and carryout our dinner...just cannot get enough of this cuisine. Try the avocado puri appetizer, any Masala dish available and please play with the spice level. Don't be scared...its so tasty! read more

Our second visit, this time for dinner. We ordered tandoori chicken and lamb curry. Good portions and excellent taste, very savory. Service was very good, with other staff pitching in to make sure our glasses were full. Ambiance is good, nothing exceptional to comment on. read more

This is one of my FAVORITE restaurants in Ocala! I love Indian food so I was happy to find a spot with such authentic flavors and a wide variety of dishes too. Love the decor and vibe too! My go to is the butter chicken (I order the medium spice level) with basmati rice, naan, rayta and green mint chutney. The Rogan Josh dish and aloo gobi (potatoes and cauliflower) is also delicious. I usually order the mint gin mixed drink to go with my food and it's a great refreshing addition! My husband's favorite is the tandoori chicken with garlic naan. The staff is so nice and welcoming and they are also wonderful with kids! My kids enjoy the Daal and mango icecream whenever we go. I definitely recommend Amrit for lunch or dinner! They have a dinner for one or dinner for two option that is a great price and includes appetizers, entree and dessert too. Their portions are large so we always have leftovers to take home :) read more

Food is awesome .. restaurant is old and tired . Service is always great . Never have had a bad meal here.

Service is always nice when we go but the last few times we have went and asked for medium heat we get bland no heat not even a hint. We got take out tonight asked for medium plus and was disappointed once again. read more

YUM!!!! Everything is delicious! The small portions are deceiving. You'll leave stuffed!

Walked in at 2:20 to eat and was told they closed at 3pm. I respect businesses right to set any hours they choose. However, not seating guests 40 minutes before close is unacceptable. I am unable to review the food quality but the staff was pleasant. read more

Probably the best food in all of ocala. The mixed tandoori is delicious (lamb is the best), and the mixed biryani is amazing as well. Mango juice is definitely the nest soft drink. The food is spicy though, so be warned. The service is great, and you don't have yo wait long for your food. read more

Have not been here for a few years. Still, this is the best Indian restaurant for a hundred mile radius. We ordered their lentil soup, chicken vindaloo, Palak paneer and parotta. My wife ordered salty lassi and I ordered a Diet Coke. The taste was as perfect as it was a few years ago. Both Mandeep and Satnam, the owners, came by to visit with us ask if we enjoyed the food. They have upgraded the exterior while maintaining there high quality and tasty dishes. The service was very prompt without being intrusive. I wish they would open an Amrit Palace by Irlo Bronson West near Margaritaville where quite a few new restaurants are opening. They will draw quite few customers from Disney crowd. read more

Absolutely delicious. My mom had butter chicken and I had paneer masala. Neither of us can handle very spicy food any more, so I was happy to see a "mild (no spice)" option. It was absolutely perfect for us. The paneer was a great texture and the masala was flavorful without being spicy. The naan was soft and buttery. My mom is not as much of a fan of Indian food as I am but she loved the chicken. She said it was very tender. The atmosphere was great and servers were the perfect amount of attentiveness while letting us enjoy our meal. read more

Amazing place to eat. Great food with a very nice ambiance and good service comes along, neatly maintained restaurant and also clean restrooms. I will recommend Amrit palace anytime. read more

I'm a real Indian from India, right of the bat the service was good, but the food was not authentic, they cheapened their dishes by leaving ingredients because they know american can't tell difference, I ordered biryani and it tasted nothing like I had before, the waiter told me that the biryanis is made to suit "westerners". I can't believe people are paying this much for this trash read more

Atmosphere , food and service are always exceptional ...Server's are knowledgeable and helpful. This is my go to for Indian food.

Nice folks! Good food! I ordered a bit more fire than I could handle, but they cooled it down and I enjoyed my meal thoroughly!

Polite service, good food, lovely ambiance. Would recommend. Very good. Highly recommend.

Had a wonderful dinner here with the family m! The Buttered Chicken was amazing along with the Garlic Naan Bread! We started with a the Samosa Chaat as an appetizer and they were delicious! Definitely recommend trying this place! It will become a favorite, for sure! read more

Excellent, food. Very good service specially by Sam. If I were to live in this area I would come back again and again to try all their dishes, unfortunately, it is my daughter that gets to enjoy all their delicacies. I just need to visit my daughter more often and make this my must go to restaurant. read more

My 1st time having Indian cuisine so I went with some more experience friends and it quickly moved to my favorite spot! We ordered: Garlic Nan, Nan, 2x Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken, Lamb Chops, and Indian beer (very good) Butter chicken was unreal, Lamb was so good, Tandoori Chicken was different from both of those and very good as well. Nan Bread works perfect for dipping and all in all this has set the bar VERY HIGH in terms of Indian food. I will continue to come here and support this local family business. Gurpreet personally greeted us and was a great host as well as a great chef. I will be back soon! read more

Amazing! We ordered several items to go... the food was fresh and phenomenal flavors! The sauces and the roti bread! The butter chicken!

If you are in the area, this restaurant is a must! We came here on a recommendation by our friend who lives near by. We took his advice and came for lunch, as they have a special lunch menu and pricing! I had the tandoori chicken, it was flavorful and juicy! Other restaurants I have tried the tandoori is always dry. So, o was very pleased with this menu selection. The portion was quite large for the lunch special. It also comes with soup, an onion and tomato chutney, naan and basmati rice! All for $10.95!!! My husband had the lamb curry lunch special and was equally pleased! We can't wait to come back! read more

I was craving some Indian food. Being a out of towner I took a chance to try this place out. As soon as we walked in the door the aroma hit us and we knew we were in the right place. Visually this place's decor fit its cuisine. By the standard of cleanliness7 this place blew me away. I think it was so clean I could of ate off the floor. Anyway I highly recommend this place. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. My only regret is we were just visiting and don't know when we will be back again. read more

Amrit Palace - The Bar - Indian Near Me - Ocala, Florida

We have been going to Amrit Palace now about once every week. Each time, I get the same thing: butter chicken and plain naan. The food is consistently delicious. The warm fragrant spices and moist tender chicken is probably the best I've had since I moved to Florida. The service is equally excellent. They always greet us with a smile and friendly banter. I think they're starting to recognize us when we come to eat. Amrit isn't close or I would likely go there more often. If you're looking for good Indian food, this is the best place we've found so far. read more
