Absolutely delish! This hole-in-the-wall mom and pop restaurant serves food that is authentic and bursting with a variety of spices that delight the tastebuds. We ordered Gobi Manchurian (garlicky, spicy goodness), Palak Paneer, and Malai Kofta, all excellent. I did not feel bloated the way I do after some heavy curries at other Indian restaurants. We also got garlic Naan. This is not a place to go if you want beautiful ambience, though. It seems the majority of people take-out from this place.

The food was very good! I got the Gobi Manchurian, Samosas and Palak Paneer. Everything was delicious and very well seasoned. If you do not like spicy you might ask if there can be less of it. I wouldn't call these dishes hot but they had a nice spicy heat to them that lingered. The samosas were served with tamarind and mint sauces. The Paneer was served with a side of rice that was perfectly cooked. The gobi manchurian held up to the sauce which had a good amount of heat. I picked up this order to go. The restaurant itself is nothing fancy, it's the typical hole in the wall that serves amazing food!! They have a few tables. When I got my order home it was very well wrapped. Every container was individually wrapped so nothing leaked. This meal lasted me for 2 dinners and a snack. If you like Indian food with some spicy heat, you'll enjoy Mint's food!

What a circus. It's 2:45pm and this tiny place is packed. It's noisy and super tight. Thankfully we are past Covid. The prices are high. And we were charged even higher prices than the menu displays. I can't imagine how that is legal. It certainly isn't ethical. Holy kids here all screaming, Food came out quickly. You order at the counter (if you can find a menu) then they bring it out quickly. The food was very very good and we love that they're vegetarian. Food is served in plastic :(. Plates are styrofoam, forks and spoons are plastic. Cups are plastic. Service was attentive and very very friendly! The parking lot is quite small. The prices not matching menus is a pet peeve so they lost at least a star for that. The very cramped, loud space didn't help. The prices being higher than others in town didn't help. Very good food and very good service.

While traveling back to Tampa we decided to try Mint Indian Cuisine at Gainesville. For a quick bite we ordered Samosa, Ragda Patties and Pakoras. We ordered 30 minutes and when we reached the food was ready and hot. We decided to have food at the restaurant and we loved the food. The ragda patties and pakoras were amazing. We loved it.

Authentic? Sadly, not at all. Tried the Gobi Manchurian and the Pani Puri and both were very different from other restaurants that I've eaten at, whether that be fine dining Indian establishments or street food in India. The Gobi Manchurian almost tasted like it had a sweet and sour sauce on it, and the Pani Puri had a puri that were not very light and airy, but were particularly hard. On top of that, they gave a mixture of daal (lentils) in a sauce, where as the usual pani puri has a dry mix of potatoes, lentils. The green sauce (the "pani" of the dish) is usually tart and spicy, and this one sadly didn't meet the spice level that I was looking for at all. I wish I was less disappointed in this place - I was really looking forward to some good Indian food in the Gainesville area. Guess I will continue to make the trek down to Ocala when I need to scratch the itch. Pros: Prices Friendly staff Cons: Food - I'll be back to try more of the main entrees at least Spice level

Small family run restaurant. Food is like home cooked. Very reasonable prices. Recommend for lunch and dinner takeout.

First experience eating Indian food. So I wasn't quite sure of what to expect. I'm willing to try it again.

A great non chain restaurant serving authentic Indian food…read more We started off with the papdi chaat and that was delicious. Tbh I've never had one before and it was a nice surprise of sweet, spice and crunch. I highly recommend this dish. Then I had the lamb makhani combo which was like a regular creamy curry dish. This was also delicious. My combo meal came with rice, samosa, naan and dessert. I didn't care for the dessert as it was just way too sweet for me but the rest was great. Hubby had the lamb biryani combo meal which the flavor was infused or incorporated into the rice dish. I personally preferred my own order but he said he really liked his dish. Son ordered from the Chinese section and he didn't like his food so my reco is to just order from the Indian section bec after all, you are in an Indian restaurant.

Following a visit to the labyrinthian VA facility in Gainesville, my wife and I were considering…read morelunch options. In looking at Yelp, we were drawn to the Indian Street Food place. Located along a building with another Indian restaurant and market and even a Vietnamese restaurant, this place has plenty of parking and quite spacious inside. We love Indian food and are always open to trying out new restaurants. We have not been to India (on the list of countries we plan on visiting) so not familiar with the street food on their menu so we opted for the more familiar options. My wife ordered the Butter Chicken combo ($20.99) and I tried one of the chef's specials, Bhatti Ka Murg combo. The combo came with basmati rice, butter naan and a desert called Gulab Jamun. My wife's combo also came with a samosa. The butter chicken was good...that sauce, which turned out to be the same sauce for the bhatti ka murg, was full of flavor. The naan was OK...nothing special and we've had much better naan. The rice serving was a bit chintzy. The desert was OK. My dish had decent flavor but definitely better dipped in that sauce. Having to content with bones from chicken thigh meat and drum stick meant I had to work for it but not too bad. While our meals had good flavors, we thought flavors and portions we had at Amrit Palace in Ocala were just as good if not better with more generous portions. We would often have leftover food to take home after a meal at Amrit. Lunch for 2 with tip was just under $54.
