My MacBook Pro suddenly would not boot up and I could not access anything on my computer. I had some files backed up, but 7 to 8 years of photos and other files were not. I have heard from friends poor reviews for the closest Apple stores with long wait times and little to no help for a hefty fee. My biggest concern was losing my files and I was leary of leaving my computer anywhere that had less than excellent customer feedback. I am grateful I came across AMP computers and reviews about great results and service for the same problem and computer as mine! I am very happy to say I took my computer in and also received excellent repair/results (and fast turn around time and, in my opinion, very reasonably priced). My computer now has a new hard drive which is faster and more reliable than the old one, and all of my photos and files were recovered and transferred to the new hard drive! My computer works great and much faster -- it's like I have a brand new computer -- and, most importantly to me, all of my data was saved! I would give him a HELL NO!!!!!!! I brought my computer in around August 6th due to the fact that in keyboard was not working. He had it for several weeks and kept telling me it would be ready on a certain day and when I or my mother got there he was waiting for the Fedex truck with the part. I finally got it back on August 21st. When I dropped it off the only issue was the keyboard. I now have it back and it overheats and the it doesn't work unless it is plugged in. I use to go hours on the battery now it has to be plugged in. When my mother picked it up for me she went to give him the cash for fixing it and he told her it was all set. I sent him a message via text telling him I was dissatisfied with the service and he called and left me nasty messages. He told me that he did the work for free and I shouldn't be giving him a hard time. It is going to cost me $120 for a new battery and more to have it checked out by someone else. The service is costing me a bundle. Last evening one of the keys from the "new keyboard" came apart. DO NOT GO TO HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Mike is fantastic. He came to my house to set up my new computer. Two weeks later, I called him because there were additional problems. When I called him to do this, he answered straight away and went right onto fixing everything (by remote access) even though he had customers coming into his shop. This took about an hour. He navigated my whole computer and made almost everything to perfection. I had 15 issues and all are fixed but 3 (minor problems). I told him we can take these up later just because I felt bad about taking up so much of his time. He's just really good at what he does. I can't say enough about him. I would recommend him to anybody on the planet that has a computer that needs fixing! Trust me, this guy is smart and let him sprinkle his fairy dust on your computer the way he did on mine. I took my daughters gaming laptop to A.M.P. computers this morning and found Mike working on a microsoft phone. After explaining the issue to Mike he promptly disassembled the laptop to the point needed to give an estimate. He told me he would call later in the day to give me an update. When he called, I was very surprised to hear that the laptop was fixed and and ready to be picked up. He had repaired / soldered the power jack that was broken and identified the power supply as intermittent (probably why my daughter twisted and bent the power jack into submission). When I picked up the computer it was running great and the price was lower than the estimate. AMP gets outstanding marks in all these categories. Michael, the owner, has become a trusted friend, who is always willing to go out of his way to keep me a highly satisfied customer. I can't say enough about how awesome Mike at AMP Computers is. I've gone to him now to fix many different devices--both Mac and PC--and he has done a phenomenal job with each one. I had been having trouble getting rid of an error message on my iPad and iPhone when I went to AMP. I had shown it to two tech services folks at the school I work at and had checked out several forums and got nowhere. I called AMP first and Mike invited me in right away. AMP Revisited. As good as ever. I only share these reviews because I know the angst of having phone/computer issues, and Mike is a savior. He recently rejuvenated my Dell desktop (it had a good i5 processor but a corrupt version of Windows 7) by upgrading it to Windows 10 (not simple in this case) and urged me to upgrade to Office 365 which now has me able to access files at home or on the road with my laptop. Amazing, My phone was fixed in like 20 minutes after it was smashed and the camera internals were broken. The guy who owns the place and runs it is a great guy and does a great job. Best experience ever dealing with electronic troubles because it was fixed almost instantly compared to weeks at Verizon or apple. I have a 5 year old Macbook which was dragging a serious anchor. Mike cleaned it up, increased my RAM and installed a new drive, and installed free antivirus. AMP Computers is great. I found them when my daughter left her iPhone in her pocket and it ended up being washed in the washing machine. AMP fixed her phone. Awesome experience from start to finish - Called on Monday about replacing IPOD Classic Hard Drive. Gave me a quote 15 minutes later. Half of getting a Refurb on Ebay or amazon.
