Stepped into this bright restaurant one week-day afternoon between 4 and 5 PM. I was with my partner and our [almost] 2 year-old who has ants in his pants and is all over the place making messes and causing trouble - even in Amorosa. But the staff was really patient with us - even translated the Dutch menu into English for us - and otherwise treated us very kindly.
The food was good too! We both got some Roti and it was not disappointing in the least - in fact, it was quite good. The Surinamese beer on offer was definitely a tasty highlight.
The decor had a slightly odd feel, not very cohesive as far as I could tell. The linoleum (and that famous Dutch chill) gave the space a slightly cold feel. But there was a mixture of cafe-type seating, bar seating, and traditional restaurant dinner table seating that gave us opportunity to be comfortable. read more
