$27 for a Sandwich, a Fountain Soda, and an Unwanted Tip…read more I almost never write reviews. In fact, I've only written two others. Before posting this, I even emailed the owner directly to give him an opportunity to address my concerns. I never received a response, which tells me just about everything I need to know about how this business values its customers. I placed an online order for a sandwich and a lemonade. When I arrived to pick it up, I was told they didn't have lemonade and was offered a fountain soda instead. I knew the soda was cheaper, but no one offered to refund the difference. I was in a hurry, so I decided it wasn't worth making an issue over a dollar, even though $3.50 for a small fountain soda is already ridiculous. When I got back to my office, I received a notification that my card had been charged $27. Looking more closely at my order, I discovered that a $3.30 tip had been automatically added. A tip? For what, exactly? I placed the order myself online. I drove to the restaurant. I walked inside and picked up my own food. The only interaction I had with an employee was being told they didn't have what I'd already paid for, without even offering to refund the price difference. I have absolutely no problem tipping for service, but automatically adding a tip to an online pickup order without making it clear to the customer is dishonest. Tips should be earned and freely given, not quietly added to someone's bill. Twenty-seven dollars for a sandwich and a small fountain Coke is absurd. But frankly, the money isn't even the biggest issue. It's the principle. What makes this experience even more disappointing is the owner's complete lack of response. I made an effort to resolve this privately before leaving a public review. Apparently, keeping customers happy isn't a priority. Salem and the surrounding area have plenty of excellent places to eat, and there's absolutely no reason to support a business that treats customers this way. I won't be returning, and I'll certainly be sharing my experience with others. Nothing leaves a worse taste in your mouth than dishonesty.

I chose this restaurant based on reviews and it didn't disappoint. It was a family reunion gathering of 12 (two children under 4) from MA, NH, ME & Indiana. The owners were so accommodating and gracious. Made reservations ahead of time. We sat in area that was semi private and the perfect area to chat. It was just as enjoyable as eating dinner at home with family. Everyone raved about the food. If you're in Salem NH you need to eat here. You won't be disappointed! Owner run for 30 years. I was the head Chef at the Andover Marriott and we used to serve Pizza Hut pizza. we rented their oven, and we had to use their products (sauce, dough, etc) in order to have it be consistent with pizza huts traditional taste. they have these frozen discs of dough, and they are put in the pizza pans so they can thaw and proof before topping it and running it thru a belt drive pizza oven. i used to get green pepper and pepperoni on my pizzas at Pizza Hut and it tastes exactly like yours.

Family Pizza is a great pizza parlor, and is, in my opinion, one of the best places for pizzas,…read morefries, and burgers in Dracut. Family Pizza offers the usual kind of food you'd find in any other pizza joint, like specialty pizzas, dinners, pastas, calzones, burgers, salads, fries, wings, subs, home made desserts, and all that jazz, but the food here tastes much better, and the prices are out of this world. Pizza here is pretty good. The sauce is sweet, just how I like it, but the dough is a little too powdery and chewy than I usually prefer, though it's still good. They offer all kinds of toppings, like pepperoni, sausage, ham, green peppers, etc, and there are also specialty pizzas too. Though Family's may not have the best pizza in town (that would be Brother's Pizza), they make up for it with their burgers, which steal the show here. Their $4 Mula Burger meal is amazing, and it's so darn cheap! It comes with a huge, juicy, 6 oz burger loaded with condiments and veggies like lettuce, pickles, tomato, cheese, onions, mayo, mustard and ketchup, all in a toasted sesame seed bun. Cheese and bacon can also be applied for an additional cost. You also get a whole side of their crunchy fries on the side, and a canned drink of your choice. Another special that is an even better value is the Hamburger Dinner, which comes with two burgers, fries, onion rings, a side salad, and a drink for just $5.75! Talk about cheap! I love this place! This place is also good for group occasions too, because my baseball coach used to take the team out for pizza all the time here after a winning game, and there was always more than enough room. Overall, Family Pizza is a superb place for pizzas and burgers in Dracut, and it's a much better option than your local fast food joint. With so much variety to choose from, like calzones, dinners, wings, and subs all for such cheap prices, what could go wrong? This place has been up and running since I was a kid, and if it's lasted that long, they must be doing something right.
