This place is absolutely awesome! I have never had a bad meal here. Yesterday I got the "Amore Salad" after several people had recommended it. I'm not usually impressed by salad but it was one of the best salads I've ever had! The portions are enormous compared to the price and I agree with other reviewers that the couple who owns it are incredibly nice and add to the overall experience. Great place! The older couple that own the place are some of the friendliest people I have ever met. My wife & go here at least once a month. We usually get the Sicilian style pizza and the Amore Salad...delicious! The pizza is one of the least greasy Sicilian styles I've ever head. I tried this place out for the 1st time this weekend. We ordered a large pizza, an Italiam sub, and Buffalo wings. My toddlers are picky eaters when it comes to food and usually they hate pizza where the cheese ends up 2x as big in their mouth as they chew. This was the 1st pizza that they did not remove pieces of cheese from their mouth and they asked for more. I enjoyed it too. It has a very subtle taste, nothing is overpowering. It was still great the next day too. The sub was delicious and put together very neatly. I didn't try the buffalo wings, but my husband was pleased. Also, this place is well kept. I was surprised how clean it was when I walked in. They have a small dessert area too. I saw something called a Brownie Ball and I'll be trying one next time we order from here. True Ma & Pa restaurant with well made food & some of the nicest staff! This place really makes me regret going to any chain for pizza & bread sticks. They have a much wider selection, with heaping portions and the food tastes much more Italian authentic. We've been several times now and really enjoyed our pizzas (the staff was pleasantly patient while we deliberated the options). Their sauce is delicious (they said they make it in-house), and not only do they give you plenty with the breadsticks, but they graciously offered more when we packed our leftovers to-go. I'll admit the only setback is the immediate area next to the restaurant wasn't the nicest, and it was a little tough to find their place the first time. read more

We had been searching for a great pizza joint in Salem and had had a few disappointments, but man were we so happy when we ordered from Amore. We got the Traditional Sicilian size and it was awesome! Staff was extremely rude! Delivery took a whole hour. The lady delivering my food came and left again before I came out and she didn't even wait one minute. I've been eating here for 20+ years and the food has been perfect since I was in kindergarten. I've tried many things on the menu in that time and never had a bad meal. The pizza is some of the best Ive had in New England, you'll love it if you are a fan of cheese. The chicken fingers are to die for. I'm not sure what they use to bread and spice it with but it's unlike any chicken finger you have ever eaten before. Try other things on the menu too but the chicken fingers and pizza are some of my all time favorites. They also have unique desserts all the time. The husband and wife that own the place are some of the friendliest people I've met in my life. They make their food with love. And that's Amore. read more

Stopped if on Friday night. Dinning area very clean and lots of great looking deserts to choose from. No beer or wine available and next door to an adult store. Ordered a large pizza to take home with 3 toppings. When we git it home we were disappointed with the pie. A little under cooked. Crust was dry and cracker like. This is the best restaurant in Salem. Everything is so good. The meat in the steak subs is incredibly lean but also very tender, The salads are very fresh. The pizzas are good; the sauce is not too sweet and the crust is just right, not too thick or thin. I normally do not like ricotta cheese because of the gritty texture but the ricotta in the calzones is wonderfully smooth and creamy. The dinners (chicken & eggplant parmesan, manicotti) are great. There is so much food in the dinners I get 2 meals out of them. The large variety of homemade desserts is very tempting. The baklava is the best I have ever had, even better than I have eaten at Mediterranean restaurants. Lastly, the owners are the NICEST people you will ever meet in any business establishment. read more

I ordered food here yesterday at 10:35 pm, and the store closes at 11. I felt bad doing so, but no one else was open and I'm at motel. Despite this the gentleman on the phone was very kind and made the food correctly. So to start the customer service is a 5/5, the store at.a first glance looks like a greasy spoon, but once you go inside the decor is beautiful, it feels very inviting and clean, so that's another 5/5. and I would be satisfied with that even of the food was average, I ordered the Sicilian spinach florentine, keep in mind I was raised in Gloucester ma by a Sicilian grandmother, my standard for pizza is very high, especially anything claiming to be Sicilian style so trust me when I say this is some of the best pizza I've had, and at a reasonable price. The Sicilian pizza is a 12"x18" and costs 20$. So that's another 5/5. I can't recommend this place.enough friendly owners, good food, good atmosphere. Best pizza in nh. read more

I have been living in Salem for 19 years. Amore is a family owned business, Sirus and his wife are some of the friendliest people I have ever met. They make amazing food, and they really care about how I am doing, and how my family is doing as well. I honestly could not put in words how great these people are. I am a pizza lover and have tried about all pizzas in most of all pizza houses in the region. Amore Pizza in Salem NH makes the best pizza I ever ate! The home made desserts are also fantastic. Actually, the place feels like HOME! Extremely clean, cozy, inviting! Large enough to hold a group party. Cozy enough to enjoy a good meal with a special person or simply for business talking. I did not waste the opportunity with a pick-up or delivery, I spent valuable and relaxing time sitting, eating and talking with my spouse while feeling at home. Food is made in an open kitchen environment. Owners and employees are courteous, polite and very mindful about handling food.
