I gave these guys a few chances the first experience was great everyone helped and it was easy but since then its greatly disappointed me the staff cant even keep up with what day it is ,always getting days wrong i called and they told me there was zero tax all day on everything and made sure i wasnt hearing things i confirmed with the gentleman over the phone after arriving and purchasing my items i was met with all the taxes included and the guy checking me out let me know the sale had ended a whole 4DAYS prior to my purchase so how was it confirmed over the phone that the sale was ongoing? About 2-3 years ago, I purchased a Trijicon HD night sights for my S&W Shield (not cheap) from Ammo Bros - Riverside. As I was about to leave, the salesperson offered to install it for free. Not questioning at the time if they had a gunsmith on-site of someone qualified to change sights, I took the salesperson up on his offer. A BIG MISTAKE that would not be realized until I had to remove my rear sight to service my Firing Pin Safety which requires the removal of the rear sight. So the other day, being a certified factory armorer and having the proper pusher tools to remove the rear sight, I was quickly shocked when I finally looked at the rear sight installation for the 1st time. It was like, "What the "F" did they do to the set screw." After scrapping off some of the bluing, which was now obviously done to hide what they did, was a set screw filled with some type of metal. Taking it to a certified gunsmith, he too was dumfounded at what they had done and unable to remove the fastener without several attempts using a drill press and a carbide bit to carefully drill out the fastener resulting in the cost of a gunsmith and the destruction of a $140 sight. Both the gunsmith and I were unsalable to figure out what they filled the set screw with but Ammo Bro's. attempt to successfully hide it was so evident but it also looked intentional which is worse. Don't let these clowns touch or modify anything even if they offer to do it free. They are salesman, that's it! I will not be returning to this store ever! Talking to my gunsmith, he mentioned that at one point he tried to get a job at Ammo Brothers but was told they don't hire gunsmiths. One more reason to never let Ammo Bros tough or modify anything. read more

They have pretty decent specials throughout the year, and fairly priced on most things. I have been here many times over the last few years, and over the last year or two the service side has gone downhill. Even with only a few customers in the store, no one says hello. Everyone always seems busy doing stuff and it's always a wait even if you walked in, pick an item off the shelf and walk to the register. This last visit I was literally the 4th customer in the store, with three employees up front working, it still took over 20 mins before I was helped. Had I not already preordered and paid , I would have just walked out. I hate seeing good establishments go downhill. read more

They don't want your business. They don't care. I like supporting local businesses instead of going to Bass Pro shops and getting a firearm. I have been trying to call them for three straight days during their business hours and the phone just rings and they have a voicemail that is not set up or it's full. I'm trying to buy an $1800 gun from you all I wanna know is if you have it in stock so I can head to your store and give you my money. With gun inventory being hard to come by everywhere I don't wanna waste my time in traffic. a simple phone call would give me my answer and I could do a transaction with you. You guys are supposed to be a small business that values customers, responds to consumer needs, and is friendly about it. You are failing as a business. I also actually just showed up in person about a month ago there were three people ahead of me and there was only two people in the actual store. why you guys don't allow more than 2 is beyond me. it's not even a Covid regulation it's just laziness. if I can go into a Walmart with 400 other people I think you can let more than two people in your store it's pretty big. read more

Been here like 50 times, I'm well aware of what they carry and don't carry. Needed a lower parts kit for an AR so I went on down there. Wanted to look around a bit before I picked up a kit. Guy behind the counter would not leave me alone. I think he was new. I finally give up and walk over to the counter where the same guy was working. Told him what I needed, just a lower parts kit. "We don't have those." I was a bit confused. I looked right past him at a wall filled with nothing but AR parts and accessories and he still said they didn't carry lower parts kits. Mind you, this is something that pretty much every gun store usually has regardless of whether or not they sell ARs. I almost believed him until I saw one right behind him and pointed it out. It was a no name brand and It cost well more than twice of what a better known brand should cost. I bought some ammo on line on the basis that it would be quickly shipped to my local store and easy to collect. Yes, it was shipped fairly quickly and I received a notification when it was there and ready for collection - that's where it all breaks down. I have visited the store in Riverside now on 4 separate occasions at different times of the day only to be told each time there was a 2 hour wait and i would need to stay within 5 minutes of the store until I got the call that it was my turn. I get it that Covid 19 is a pain in the ass and retailers are having to modify their operations but this is a complete joke! A gentlemen arrived at the Riverside store in front of me stating he wanted to look at accessories and he was let right in. But what really did it for me was that I was told that the 8 people in front of me wanted to look at prospective weapon purchases and they couldn't be rushed! So basically, the way i read that is that they had my $140 bucks in hand for the ammo so I would just have to suck it up and wait and give priority to those who 'might' buy weapons. This system is categorically wrong and priority should be given to those that have actually made a purchase already. Ammo Bros internet sales didn't even bother to reply when i offered a solution to send it to a smaller FFL and I'd pay shipping and their surcharge to collect it rather than wait 2 hours. I've been here three times with two different people accompanying me. I was alone my first visit. I'm new to gun ownership. I had some basic "bonehead" questions about making my rifles California compliant and about some accessories. The response I got was one of indifference. It didn't get to me though, I get it, dumb questions. I understand how that can be received. I made some purchases and went on my way. The following two visits were similar. Indifferent demeanor and condescending tone when speaking with them. It seemed like a "you need us, we don't need you" posture. That impression was shared with me by the folks that accompanied me before I shared my opinion from my first visit. I returned to this store because of their selection. I wanted to find a place where I could feel welcomed and continue adding to my collection since the place I used to go to closed down. After shopping here since Cerritos store opened I must say this has become Gombe last place in the world I will do business with. The hours on their website are still wrong and no one answers the phone. First time I drove to Riverside from So OC to find out the store hours as they were not open. Second time called and message said the Riverside store was closed so I went to Ontario stood in line for two hours with 6-8 other people only to be told they were not going to be able to assist me as they were closing. Third trip today arrived around 3:15 was told I needed to put my name on the list and there were 11 people in front of me it is now 5:05 pm and there are still 5 people in front and they might not even be able to assist me today...wow I cannot think of worse service and communication. read more
