    Oh Ma Dang!!!

The cheese enchilada plate here is to die for!!! The portion is generous, hot and oh sooo cheesy good. The rice is tasty, fluffy and moist. The beans are amazing. The margaritas are perfect. The ambiance is festive and the service is totally welcoming. Friendly faces floating around with impeccable service. Definitely not The Dutch!

This place is LEGIT! Best Mexican food I have had in a long long time!

What a great new restaurant addition to Main Gate Square! I had the 4 enchiladas sampler plate with rice and beans and it was amazing. I will be making this one of my regular stops and you should too!

I loved my Pina Loca! (Whole pineapple cored with a variety of fruits and veggies with seasonings and you can add a shot of liquor!) Highly suggest! Their chips and salsa are to die for! Can't wait to go back and try the elotes!

I popped into Americano Mexicano while I was waiting for my chiropractor next-door to work down his waiting list.

We needed a little more time to choose the right beer. My partner wanted a pilsner, but unfortunately they didn't have one available at the time, so we went with their famous Barrio Blonde. I've had Barrio Blonde on many occasions at other places, but this one tasted unusually bitter and a bit flat. It seemed like the beer may have gotten warm at some point and was later cooled again, affecting the flavor. We were hungry, so we ordered the patty melt. The burger was good, with a flavorful patty and perfectly toasted bread. The bathrooms were also very clean, which is always appreciated. Overall, service was friendly and attentive, but the beer quality this visit was disappointing.

From the moment you walk in, you can tell this isn't your typical sit-down dinner spot. The lighting is cool, there's a live DJ, and yes--it is loud. Like, don't come here expecting an intimate, quiet dinner kind of loud. This is more "laughing over music, people-watching, and soaking up the energy" kind of place. Now let's talk food, because that's where they pleasantly surprised me. They actually have a legit vegan option that doesn't feel like an afterthought (which I always appreciate). I went with the vegan curry and wow--it was delicious. Rich, comforting, and packed with flavor, with a mushroom-forward sauce and sweet potatoes that just worked so well together. We also had the olive oil bread, which was simple but so good, plus almonds and Brussels sprouts that were absolutely worth ordering. Everything felt shareable and fun, which fits the whole vibe of the place. This isn't where I'd go for a quiet date night or a five-star fine dining experience--but that's not what it's trying to be. It's where you go to hang out, eat good food, sip drinks, and just have a really fun time. Would I come back? Definitely.

Service was nice and she was friendly, but she definitely forgot my drink and I ended up going to the bar to grab it myself. Honestly, I'm mainly writing this because of the attached photo. Great burgers and onion rings, great bar food in general. Surprisingly it's a nice place to take our toddler because it's loud in a way her random pterodactyl schreeches aren't too disruptive. The kids menu has some great options, the kids burger is almost as big as the regular burger. Make sure to get the pickles, my child ate three, they have very good pickle spears. They also have high chairs and a lot of things for her to look at and keep her fairly entertained. The staff is always so friendly!! It's got a respectable beer selection and a nice nook filled with pool tables. There's also an extensive menu of sandwiches, burgers, and bar food. I know locals love it, but I just really don't like how they operate here because they can't seem to decide if they want to be a real bar or a sit-down restaurant. You'll hardly have space to roam and you can't really accommodate a group larger than 4 people. Service is good, but the seating is cramped. There is nothing uniquely good about the food (I can mostly say it is somehow even greasier than you expect it to be), so you may as well enjoy some snacks and conversation somewhere a little more comfortable.
