Definitely 5 stars. It was very very very good. Would highly recommend trying it out. Everything was amazing. I had the Greek salad, chicken shawarma, rice, hummus and garlic sauce. I was thoroughly impressed and we will definitely be back very soon. I would say the only thing they could potentially improve on is the pita bread. It's not super fluffy and kinda hard to chew it would be amazing warmed but honestly the hummus makes up for it because it's the best hummus I have ever had. I cannot wait to go back. The atmosphere of the restaurant is simple, elegant and classic. Loved it. I will say ordering seemed weird. It seemed like it's an order then sit down but it's actually a sit down restaurant so we were a little confused by that but overall highly recommend if you haven't checked it out! read more

This is where the flavor is at. I'm a big fan of Istanbul Grill in Arlington and no other place I've tried has come close. So much so that Mediterranean is usually off the table unless we drive to Arlington. My husband saw a lot of facebook post about how good this place was so we gave it a try. The place is clean and I would guess they have about 15 tables or so. I saw a lot of to go orders coming through and dine in was relatively busy as well. We started with babaganoush and hummus. Both wonderfully seasoned and we got more than enough bread for both. I can't remember what my husband ordered for his main, but I got the Arabic shawarma and it was fantastic. I don't know if the game changer is the sauce or the perfectly grilled wrap. The food is cooked to order so give yourself time if you dine in. Would recommend this place over and over :) read more

I had high hopes for this place because the atmosphere is actually really nice and the restaurant itself looks great. Unfortunately, the food didn't match the experience. I ordered the chicken shawarma, and it was extremely greasy--so much that the wrap was hard to even hold. The bread was also tough and not fresh, which made it even less enjoyable. To make things worse, I ended up feeling sick afterward from how heavy and greasy the food was. It's disappointing because the setting is appealing, but the quality of the food really needs improvement. read more

Finally had the opportunity to try Amman Grill. Very optimistic based on the Yelp reviews since they opened recently. Very nice setup, not large but super clean and great ambiance. Nice Arabic music in the background, gentle lighting. Really nice. Friendly staff seated us, explained the menu and gave some great guidance. The food was exceptional! I have not had Kibbeh in the US and it was amazing! The gyro and Arabic shawarma were both outstanding. You need to give this place a try if you're into authentic food. read more

I had such a great experience at Amman Grill today! It's a newly opened spot, and they're already off to an amazing start. They had grand opening festivities outside, which made the whole visit feel really special--there was a free coffee bar with absolutely amazing drinks, free ice cream, and even a traditional dance performance. I don't know much about Mediterranean food, but the staff was incredibly helpful and took the time to guide us through the menu and help us decide what to order. They were so warm and welcoming, which made a big difference. Everything we tried was delicious, but my favorite was definitely the lemon and mint smoothie--it was super refreshing and flavorful. Here's what we ordered: *Lemon & Mint Smoothie *Falafel (6 pcs) *Gyro Sandwich *Mix Grill Plate (with hummus, baba ghanoush, kefta kabob skewer, shish tawook skewer, and lamb tikka skewer) (note: I enjoyed the lamb the most) *Large Fattoush The food was amazing across the board, the place itself is super clean and really cute, and the prices are very affordable for the quality and portions you get. They're in their soft opening so they didn't have the Turkish coffee yet but the food was excellent. Salad was great. Tomato soup is great. Gyro was great. The baba ghanoush and hummus was good. The baba ganoush was definitely the highlight of the meal--smoky, flavorful, and well prepared. The hummus was decent but fairly basic compared to what you might expect from a Mediterranean spot. If you're dining with a group, the family platters are a great option because they're very filling and offer a good amount of food for sharing. Service was straightforward even though we had to ask for our water bottles after ordering. Overall, it's a good place for a quick meal, but it doesn't necessarily stand out above other similar restaurants in the area. read more

My new favorite local casual restaurant! The food is so good! The kefta kabobs are so tender and that kissed by the grill flavor is amazing. The lentil soup is so good too. ok first time here and probably last... the food wasn't amazing enough for me to look past the one hour wait on our $5 fried broccoli appetizer that came out cold along with our two dishes ofc i was alr hungry when we came in and they seemed busy so as a former server i get itttttt but no one really came up and said anything about sorry it'll take longer than usual (not expecting it. just woulda been nice) we ordered the gyro dinner plate and the Arabic shawarma. the dinner plate came with two sides which i got first and then the main part 20-30 mins (what felt like after) typically water is free but our server failed to mention when she asked how many waters we needed (we said 3) she brought out 3 bottles (obv water bottles cost, we didn't know they didn't have fountain water) anyway food isn't bad. i find it on the saltier side read more

The food was fantastic. Th table had a variety of items including the chicken shawarma, swish tawook, kefta Kabobs, beef tikka and lamb tikka. In addition to Caesar salads, Greek salads and the arugula salad. The chicken shawarma and kefta kabobs were fantastically seasoned and well cooked. The beef tikka was tender, and the kefta had just a hint of the lamb game flavor that I enjoy. The baba ganoush was well seasoned and the olive oil used was something else. The oil really made it excellent. Be prepared, they only serve bottled teas, waters, and sodas. No fountain drinks are available. The restaurant was clean, well kept, warm, and inviting. My only negative was our waitress seemed confused with regard to how to operate the POS system. That may explain why a couple of items came out wrong. For instance a salad was asked for dressing in the side, it came out loaded and one of the sides of baba ganoush came out described as hummus. Another waitress had to correct the mistake. Overall an enjoyable meal and we're already planning another trip to try more of the menu. read more

Was going to sit down to eat, but ended up taking my order to go after there's no option to get anything other than bottled water. I was told they do not have a water filter and could have that or another drink. Never have experienced that in the states-only overseas. Totally irritated. Probably will never be back. Not sure how to respond to the owner except by annotating this review. I did not complain about the charge for the water and he was correct in stating I was not ultimately charged for it. I did not like that I was not made aware I was being brought bottled water. I do not drink soda, coffee, hot tea, or sugary drinks which is all you offer. I find bottled water to be extremely wasteful and environmentally unfriendly and do not purchase it ever. My only other option for having a beverage with my meal was to either bring in my reusable water bottle or take my meal to go and eat at home. Alternatively, I could sit there and eat my meal with no drink which is not my idea of a good dining experience. I would have been happy with unfiltered tap water, but even that was not offered. He's correct, each restaurant is able to choose how they operate. However, it is expected norm that water be available in that manner. The waitress was lovely, but otherwise, I did not have a good first experience with your restaurant because of your drink options. Food is definitely a big part of the dining experience, but so is beverage availability. read more
